We were greeted at the door, immediately seated for a late lunch, early dinner. Our server gave us recommendations and they did NOT disappoint. I had the Mesquite Grilled Meatloaf and my BF had Jerk CHICKEN with Mango salsa. The Meatloaf was well prepared, served grilled HOT, firm and VERY tasty. Ordered their bacon cheese burger, cooked medium, for lunch and it came out as dry as the Sahara Desert -- It was very obvious that the burger was not cooked to order nor were the brittle, dry french fries that accompanied it. I must compliment the waiter for trying to make it right. He offered me a free bread pudding, but I dare not take the chance on such a delicate dessert coming out as dry as the food did. I wasn't going to write a review because the other 300+ reviews summed up the great food and service but I felt compelled to share my experience. Firstly, the seafood stuffed mushroom appetizer was amazing! Savory and nicely proportioned (order of 4). I ordered the shrimp and tasso pasta which was cheesy and delicious, while my fiancé ordered the etoufee pot pie. However, he wasn't too impressed with the pot pie. And it was nothing wrong with it, it was simply a matter of preference. Being from New Orleans, we make etoufee differently. It tasted as if it was missing something, can't quite put my finger on it. Hesitant, we asked our server CINDY, to change out his order and she politely did so. He ordered the jambalaya pasta, which came quickly and was delicious. Cindy was so pleasant and polite, we appreciate her service. Afterwards, the service manager SHARON, came over to ask why exactly we didn't like the pot pie so they can improve. I feel bad because we didn't have any recommendations, it was simply a matter of preference. Nevertheless, the gesture of speaking with us was extremely nice. Oh i almost forgot! Compliments to the bartender, she made us a delicious and beautifully crafted Brandy Crusta (Grand Mariner & brandy). It wasn't too strong but just enough to get us where we needed to be lol. Well two good things I can say for this restaurant. Let me get to that in a minute. 1. My husband had Stuffed porkchops, fried Brussel sprouts and asparagus. 2. I had grilled Red fish, asparagus and corn roux. My food was very good. Now for my husband's, in the middle of the night he was up throwing up. In the morning he started having diarrhea, it continued all day. We had to spend an additional day at the K.O.A which cost us $ 79.00 Also we brought home some pork for our dog. She was throwing up and had diarrhea. We were to leave on Sunday morning but had to extend our stay to Monday. My husband got up Monday morning, still had some diarrhea, he really didn't feel like eating but forced himself to have a sandwich, he can't ride on an empty stomach. He drove from Lafayette, Louisiana to Robertsdale, Alabama to the next campground. Pulling our RV. Well here is a good thing about the restaurant, I called and talked to the manager about the food( which I think was spoiled) She refunded the money's for all our meal. (I live in Texas so I've had my fair share of good steaks.) our waitress was new but she was very attentive and super nice. The menu had everything. And everything sounded so good. This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal! You should be eating here. Hands down, this was one of the best meals I've eaten in Louisiana, New Orleans included. I started off with the gumbo which is authentic and perfectly spicy. For lunch I had trouble deciding between dishes and my waitress recommended I try the blackened chicken pasta. It was amazing. Everything tasted so fresh and the pasta didn't feel heavy. It was perfect. I was stuffed but my waitress recommended I try the banana's foster bread pudding. She said she doesn't like bread pudding but this one was amazing. I actually hate bread pudding but she convinced me to try it and I could not stop eating it. Save room for dessert folks! My husband and I are passing through, and had the pleasure of enjoying an amazing dinner here this evening. Everything from start to finish was wonderful. Happy hour is 2-6pm and we took full advantage. I had the Strawberry Fields martini and a Lemon Drop martini. Both were fantastic. We shared a cup of gumbo as an appetizer, along with their garlic bread. For our entrees we had the ribs and Cajun jerk chicken. Our sides were salads and the jalapeño grits and red hot potatoes. I'm not even kidding when I say EVERYTHING was awesome! We have lived in Vegas for 5 years, and this was a meal to remember!!! I ordered NOLA shrimps & grits and my daughter ordered the shrimp & Tasso pasta. Both of our food were super flavorful and has that Cajun kick! If you are ok with a VERY loud establishment then the food is GREAT! We had the 12 Napkin Roast Beef Sandwich, Cuban Sammie, and fettuccini Alfredo.
