Not worth the money!! The service was fine, but for the money we spent the food was not that great.

Place was croweded and it took about 15 mins to get someone to get our order in. we decicded to get it togo after noticing how noisy it was. I ordered off the seasonal menu which was which was a little disappointing because it felt overprice for the entree with just splash of crawfish etouffee on top of my fried fish. other then that I enjoyed the appetizers more the the entree I order the swamp lega and the frog legs. i knocked off 2 stars for the service and the disappointing entree. read more

Enjoyed it so much we went back the second night. I highly recommend the seafood stuffed mushrooms as well as shrimp and grits.

We were driving home to Houston on I10, and read rave reviews of this place on Yelp, so decided to pop in. Its not close, it's really out of the way in a rather industrial area, but it we were determined to give it a shot. Even though the parking lot overflowed into the street, someone was leaving, so we found immediate, doors-side parking. Even though it was packed, we were immediately sat All the staff were incredibly nice and competent. The food.... the food is without a doubt the star of the show. I had etouffee pot pie, hubby had a Cajun burger, and football was on the big screen. We both literally moaned as we took our first bites. The review we read included gushes about the desert, BANANA FOSTER'S BREAD PUDDING which we were sure to order. This is literally foodporn. It's so good for dinner on Saturday night, you should have to go to confession on Sunday morning. read more

AMAZING! Food and staff were all amazing! I got the sausage and Boudin Board for starters and it was three large links. I was expecting half the meat. The Shrimp and Tasso came next. It's not spicy so I asked them to kick it a notch. It was a another taste bud pleaser for sure. Manager came over to check on us and it was genuine; Not just lip service. We stopped here on our way through LA to FL. I really want to give this place a better review, however our waitress rubbed us the wrong way. She made us(two people of color) feel VERY unwanted and unwelcome. I make it a point to be very friendly to waitresses especially at places we've never eaten before so I know for a fact her behavior was not because we were rude first. While taking our drink order she didn't even look us and seemed very annoyed to be waiting on us. While trying to ask questions about the menu she talked to us as if we should already know the answers. There were times we would be talking to her and she would walk away before we could even finish our sentences. At one point she just threw our bread down on the table and kept walking while we were trying to talk to her. We also noticed she was treating the people next to us very similar. They were also people of color. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and assumed she was just having a stressful day and didn't want to bring race into it. A group of white women came in and she was VERY friendly with them. Making eye contact, answering questions, laughing etc. Again, I didn't wanna take it personal and assumed she knew them well. However she was also very bubbly with other tables that were white. We would watch her be friendly to them, then she would come back to us with her standoff attitude. She may have been having a bad day, who knows? Wether it was about our race or not, the way she treated us made us feel very unwelcome so we will not be returning. On a positive note there was a man who seemed to be the manager who was VERY friendly and explained the sausage board to us and answered questions we had. Bon Temps Grill was one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time! We grabbed seats at the bar (open seating) and were immediately asked what we'd like to drink. The bartender was very knowledgeable and had drinks for both of us within minutes that we loved. A local beer for me and a blueberry lemon drop for my girl - excellently made. We had shrimp and grits appetizer that had flavor like you wouldn't believe! The catfish plate was shared between us and it was some of the best breading I've ever had on any fish or chicken! The breading was so crispy and flavorful, and then this creamy sauce almost like a gravy on top with crawfish was amazing. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely be going back! read more

The order was ready on-time and there was a designated area for curbside. I drove up and waited there wasn't a sign with instruction, so I waited. No one came out so I called the restaurant. A friendly gentleman came out and gave me my order. I get back to the hotel, mouthwatering for some good ole Cajun food. I opened my plate and my "pie" was thrown into the plate. Making the crust separate from the filling. Then I tried it......it was horrible absolutely no flavor and randomly topped with tomato pieces. It was just rice, crawfish and a tasteless sauce. The sweet potatoes were just as bad. The only thing that I could eat was the garlic bread. I gave 2 stars for being on time and the waiter was nice. It was my boyfriend and I's first time visiting Louisiana and our hotel concierge recommended Bon Temps Grill because we wanted real creole food. We loved everything. We got the alligator bites as an appetizer, my boyfriend got the meatloaf sandwich and I got the crawfish etouffee. The food was amazing but the service is what really made this a great experience. From the time we walked in, we were greater by the manager and hostess and taken to our table. Brionna was our server and she made our meal so enjoyable. I came here while I was visiting from out of town based on the reviews. The staff was friendly they greeted me at the door I sat by the bar and was taken care of by Heather she is always very friendly had recommendations on popular items on the food menu. I end up going with the mahi-mahi with the sweet potato mash and braised brussel sprouts with bacon. Food came out quick it was fresh tasty all three items were satisfying. There was a fair amount of local brews on tap as well as in bottles. Overall experience was positive places clean small but homie. Here with my son for a post Thanksgiving meal. We have been here before. Lacey was our server very nice and friendly. Sharon front house manager also came by to chat us up. Another manager also came by. We ordered a Gibson and a draft beer. They could not produce cocktail onions no problem I got olives. The martini was perfect. We ordered the filet mignon and speckled trout. Side of Brussels sprouts was unremarkable. The house potatoes were really good. The Trout was great and the filet was delicious. I have been ordering trout recently and this one was particularly good. It was thicker than others I have had and pleasingly free of bones. River trout have many bones and sometimes the meal can turn into a real challenge, in my view. Sharon explained that the trout they serve here is farm raised and likely why they were so large and boneless. Made sense to me.
