I was looking for something close to my hotel that wasn't typical American food, and this popped up. I was able to order online and head that way. They were quick (probably too quick). I had put in all my car info, so it took me a few minutes to realize I still had to call when I got there. I think the food was ready before my time too so it wasn't super hot. They did bring it out to me, which was nice. I got the bowl with bulgolgi meat. There was a lot of toppings and beef, which was awesome. It was also pretty flavorful. However, for the portion, I do think it's a little over priced. I would have liked some sides too, but they were all super expensive - like sit down restaurant prices, so unfortunately, I didn't get to try any. It was an okay experience. What a great experience this was! And it's all thanks to a surprise visit by the owner, Henry Lee and his friendly service and amazingly tasteful food offerings. I am brand new to bonchon chicken having no knowledge of it prior to dining here and what an unexpected pleasure it was. For starters, Henry started us off by explaining the menu to us followed by some great recommendations and let me tell you, he was spot on. They are known for their Korean fried wings and do yourself the favor and indulge. You can order them in groups of six and come in three different flavors. Or you can order a platter of all three flavors.. you're welcome. We also ordered the veggie fried rice that was cooked to perfection with fresh and crisp vegetables. Henry was even kind enough to let us try some of his homemade coleslaw on the house and that too was put together the best way possible. Good news for me, Henry shared they may be expanding to my neck of the woods in Colorado Springs! Expansion is always a good sign, right?! We started off with chicken fried rice, seasoned fries, and bulgolgi tacos and finished the meal with a large order of chicken strips (1/2 spicy 1/2 regular). I highly recommend coming with a larger group to take advantage of the cheaper "family" size options. The fried chicken strips was full of white meat and just enough fried breading. The spicy was just the right amount to give a good kick but not overwhelming. The bulgolgi tacos are also excellent if you're looking to try something new. The bulgolgi sauce is sweet yet tangy and very filling. The service was very friendly and attentive. Our water jars were constantly being filled. The bathrooms are also very clean! I wouldn't bring your babies and strollers in here. 2) Next to Bar Louie in Stapleton. In the burbs. 3) My to-go orders was made during my meal. Pros: 1) Fried Chicken. This is why you come here for the best KFC (Korean Fried Chicken)! Soy Garlic/Spicy is on point plus always get a side of the radishes. Cons: 1) Service. On a windy, chilly day, I see a crowd form inside an establishment I've driven by just from my adventures in CA alone. Is that what I think it is? Yay! Bonchon has opened for business. Not that dramatic. I actually was tagged on Facebook and got super excited. Fellow acquaintances also continued to raise my expectations until I could do nothing but drag a friend here just to eat with me. We didn't have to wait long and yes, there is bar seating for those of you who can't wait! My friend ordered the bibimbap and I got the chicken tenders half and half with coleslaw. We also ordered the salmon avocado ball...literally a ball of heaven. It tasted so fresh and amazing...sushi without the rice. Also the shape was fun to eat too. The bibimbap came with this large heavy clay bowl that kept the dish hot and sizzling for a while. It too was pretty good. My favorite was the soy garlic chicken instead of the spicy one. I had such high expectations for the spicy because everyone said how good it was, but soy garlic all the way next time. The Chicken tenders are bigger than my fingers! Yes no tiny rip off chicken tenders. That's how the world should be. Super crispy and chicken is, cue the cringe, moist. There I said it. Moist. We stopped in today during their soft opening. Service was great and everything went smoothly. We ordered 3 starters and 2 orders of wings to get a good sampling off their menu. We really enjoyed everything. Salmon ball, pork buns and Takoyaki were all interesting, tasty and fun to share. The wings were definitely amazing. We ordered half & half with spicy being everyone's favorite. Thankfully the pickled radish and large bottle of water at the table helped to cool the burn. The flavor reminded me of the hot Sriracha peas with an almost thin candy crunch.... it's hard to explain but trust me and order them. Also they are not as messy to eat as traditional wings which I liked. The wings are larger than average so 10 will get you pretty full. A medium order feeds 2-3. Excellent addition to the neighborhood with nothing like it close by. Can't wait to bring some friends here and super excited for future take out too. Be warned it is pretty small inside... maybe 15-17 tables plus seats at the bar and several tables outside on the patio. I've heard mixed reviews about Bonchon restaurants in general, but I had never stepped foot in one. I love Korean fried chicken, so when I found out one was opening here, I was super excited to try it out. This place is so new and seating is so limited that getting here on a Saturday evening had a 30-40 minute wait for 4 people. We sat at the bar as we waited, and I was impressed with the cocktail menu. They have drinks like spiked boba tea and yogurt soju, which I'll have to come back for. I was just too set on having my chicken with beer for my first visit. I have to say that I love the vibe here. It's the perfect hangout spot, and the table setup is so modern. They have a YouTube playlist on TV, where they play Top 40 music and K-pop. Service is also super friendly. The place just feels vibrant and fun, especially after having a little alcohol in your system. I was expecting more out of the food though. I got the small portion of the combination wings, and chose the white radish over the cole slaw. Everything just felt a little dry for me. The chicken could have used some more sauce -- I could barely tell the difference between the hot wings and the garlic ones. Even the radish tasted a little too dry, hard and bland. I have to hand it to them for the Takoyaki though -- they did really well with the flavoring and presentation for the appetizer. I'm a little disappointed that the main course tasted more like fast food, but it didn't take away from the overall pretty great dinner experience. The wing prices are fairly high, so expect to pay more than you would regular wings. We got half wings/half drumsticks for both the hot and soy garlic. I wouldn't go here for the other Korean stuff, personally. If you want bulgogi, go to an authentic Korean restaurant. The service was top notch, Amanda was amazing, super nice, interactive and knowledgeable of the menu. The owner Henry was there greeting and checking in on customers. It seems like a well ran establishment. The food wow it was on point. I tried 4 things and everything came up full of flavor, timely, and pretty nice size portions. I started off with the pot stickers, I believe these are fired and has their signature sauces on it. They were cooked with perfection with the right about of sauce. 2nd plate was the half and half wings... is the best way to describe these, this is what people will crave and want after eating here. They are juice on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The sauces are hot and spicy and then ginger soy, the combo of the too give you the sweet and spicy, which I love when eating wings. I'll definitely be back for these! 3rd plate salmon ball...yeah sounds weird but it was recommended and it didn't disappoint. It was crab meat, cucumbers, avocado, some sauce, that had an outer edge of salmon. Basically like deconstructed sushi. The last plate was bacon kimichi rice...pretty amazing! So my friend Phil and I were on our way to the airport and needed to grab a quick dinner. we also had his pup in the car, so we wanted to order takeout and eat in the car. So I called the restaurant to order takeout, and the lady said "For takeout you have to pay over the phone". But why? I am going in already to pick up the food, why can't I just hand you my card then? We were literally in front of the restaurant already. So I said nvm and walked in and place my order. Which they were pretty fast in making the food! We ordered: - bone in medium combo with soy garlic and spicy - regular french fries It did not sound like Phil had ever had Korean Fried Chicken before. So after his 1st bite, he said it was pretty good! I enjoyed the soy garlic more than the spicy (Phil wanted the spicy), but both were good, and the spicy wasn't overly spicy. Very good, clean place, decent service and good food . The chicken is amazing with both flavors ! Had the family pack it was a decent amount of food, the fried rice is definitely recommended. There were two of us and we took some home, but i doubt you could feed a family on this. About the only downfall was the prices, especially for fried chicken. It was $75, we had two $5 beers. Overall I'd go back again but not as often as if like due to the prices. read more

Went here today. Ordered the famous Fried Chicken that BonChon offered to their branches worldwide. It did not disappoint. Consistent crispiness from Asia to the US. I'm impressed. I tried the Tteokbokki. First time, I would not worry about it. I was just curious to try it but ended up not finishing the dish. The sauce of Tteobokki is great since I love spicy. It's the rice cake that I can't handle. It's way too chewy that I was into the point where I asked can my body digest this. Tried the pickled radish to cleanse the palate. And BimBimBap Tofu. Nothing special for me. Otherwise, it's good option for vegetarian. I would go for the fried tofu if you ordered it. This is easy $42 meal for being a first time customer here. But I don't regret. I'd give them more of a 3.5 simply because we really enjoyed our food. Unfortunately, when we first walked in, I was put off right away. The small dining area was not very welcoming. No style, tight walkways and just a sticky, cheap fast food vibe. Plus the tile floor and small room really amplified the voices of the screaming kids two tables over. It wasn't helped by having to make a quick trip to the bathroom which didn't look or smell like anyone had cleaned it in weeks, just horrifyingly filthy. As we sat down, I tried to put it out of my mind, but the menu I received was a sticky binder filled with pages of rumpled paper shoved into a cheap clear sleeve. At this point, we seriously almost left and went to Dog Haus across the street. But we'd made the trek to finally try this place out, so we kept going. We decided on boneless wings (soy garlic sauce), the bacon kimchi fried rice and seasoned fries. Yes, ALL the carbs, please. Our waitress recommended the boneless strips, saying that they were actually made fresh (are the wings frozen?), so we went with those. We didn't have to wait long for food to arrive, and everything looked amazing. But here's where we lose another star. The strips were ok--because they were made with breast meat, they were super dry. There was no significant breading or crunch to them, but the sauce made them edible. After a while though, the thinly battered outside succumbed to the sauce and went mushy. On the other hand, the fries were insanely crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Lots of parm and flavors, except for the most important seasoning, salt. And ketchup on the side? Ew. NOW, the star of the show and what I will lay in bed at night craving is the kimchi bacon fried rice. Flavor overload, touch of spice, good amount of bacony goodness and low-key veggies that added a little texture and balance. Good amount of oil used to fry it all up perfectly which may turn some people off, but it's the traditional way to get it done just right. I contemplated ordering another round of the stuff to take home with us. It was THAT good. Really wish we lived in the neighborhood, because I would totally swing by and pick up some food to go instead of sitting down to eat. If I'm in the area, it'll be on the "maybe" list but I'll at least make sure I go to the bathroom elsewhere first! read more

Bonchon's Korean fried chicken is my kryptonite. The skin on Bonchon's chicken is much crunchier than other fried chicken skin I've had, and the meat stays moist. My favorite glaze is the soy garlic, but the spicy is also a good choice. It's almost too hot to eat, yet too delicious to stay away from. We tried to order the boneless wings once but was warned by the employee that the boneless wings were previously frozen. So if you want fresh chicken, order the wings or the strips. If you come with a group, the salmon avocado ball is a must-have choice. We prefer to get take out since the restaurant tends to be loud due to the acoustics and flashy music videos. read more

I just ordered $50 worth of food to be delivered via DoorDash. This was the worst food ever. I am a huge fan of all Asian cuisine.. it's my go to when I'm on the road but this was ridiculous. The wings were horrible, no flavor on the inside and they were dry. The salad had wilted lettuce and no dressing. There was more croutons than anything else what a joke for a $10 salad. Food is overpriced, but sauce flavors are good. However, their ingredients are limited to a protein, onion and maybe peppers. They include rice cakes in their dishes which they seem excited about, but I don't understand the fascination with rice cakes. They are flavorless and lack any nutritional value. Rice cakes are simply a cheap filler, a poor substitute for what you are paying. For the price there should have been an additional protein or vegetable in my opinion. Unfortunately, there was a change in the fry batter of the fried chicken compared to the fried chicken I've gotten at other Bonchon locations in San Diego. I ordered the plain flavor fried chicken vs the spicy or soy garlic because I was sharing this food order with others. In retrospect, it was a bad idea since it didn't taste good at all. There should've been some seasoning flavor but it was bland. I'll try the spicy or soy garlic fried chicken next time. I walked in there today there were no customers at all to order to go . Upon entering , I noticed workers hanging out and not working while the whole restaurant is so disorganized . There are to go boxes everywhere and nothing is just stored properly . I think they have a space issue as even when the restaurant seems beautiful , the whole restaurant just looks very very disorderly . Soda drinks on the floor , right next to the fridge , the hallway in the bathroom is full of to go marrrials like . I felt like I was in a dingy Chinese to go place lol . All in all , I'd still come back of course . I just feel like this reatUrant is kinda going downhill As for the food , I may have not reviewed haven't I ordered this substandard fried rice for 15 bucks . I usually don't leave negative reviews because I believe everyone has room for improvement, but our experience with service was disappointing the food was okay. Our server never checked on us, so we had to ask for refills, and they didn't bring the side that comes with the wings. No one asked if our food was alright or if we needed anything else. We even had to go up to the counter for refills, which still took about 10 minutes, along with the ranch we requested. This level of service is unacceptable. read more
