We ordered both the spicy and traditional Korean chicken wings, pork bao buns, sotteok, Japchae, Buldok and some soju to drink with it. Everything was delicious. Their chicken wings are so meaty and flavored with the right amount of crunch. Their bao buns have tasty soft buns with softened pork with just the right amount of fat to give the extra flavor. Their Sotteok rice cake is made just right so it's just chewy enough. Their Japchae is always so good and their Buldok is also fresh and has some crispy rice next to the edges of the bowl. But the original flavor is AMAZING!! And pairing it with the Pickled raddish complements eachother so well. I tried the wings & drumsticks combo with a side of rice and radish, as well as the topokki which was quite spicy. Busy place usually means the food is great. It is very small place and it seems busy all the time. Tables are small and plates are big. Only two girls worked upfront so they do seating, orders and cleaning. The floor was sticky and greasy I got it they really don't have to clean it since there is always someone to come in. This is my second time coming to this restaurant and it was pretty good. The last time I got the fried rice and the buns which tasted a lot better than what I got this time. Today I ordered the brisket sliders as well as the combo fried chicken with half spicy and the other half Bbq flavoured. The spicy level was a lot more than I expected so if you are sensitive to spicy foods, do not get the spicy chicken. I sat at the bar because it was so crowded and my service was alright. They were short staffed so I don't blame them. The food prices were a little higher than I was expecting ($35 ish for myself) but the portions were definitely big enough. The restaurant itself was pretty tiny and clean. They seemed to get a lot of food delivery orders because I swear I saw about 10 of the delivery drivers walk in while I was eating. Quality Korean wings with some other Korean staples! Wings are always large and skin is cooked to perfection. Fried rice is flavorful and a little sweet. Fries are crispy and go well with the wings. The spicy sauce is definitely a slow heat and probably a 8/10 on spiciness in our opinion, definitely get a small amount to try for your first time. We have done pick up orders a couple times now, service can be slow in busy days but was super fast this past Tuesday night. My husband and I frequent Bonchon almost on a monthly basis. They have really great, crispy fried chicken. I highly recommend the garlic soy and to pair it with their fried rice. The employees are super great here too. I often order for pickup, but recently dined in and will say that the crispiness is unmatched when you dine in. Also, I would like to thank the Bonchon staff for holding on to my credit card that I erroneously left at the restaurant. This is the first time that I've accidentally left my card and they kept it for me until I was able to pick it up. Their japchae is also very delicious, and I highly recommend as an alternative side if you would like to pair your chicken with noodles instead. We, also, ordered chicken katsu, chicken sliders, and bulgogi fries. The portions were large, we didn't expect the sides to be that large - great for leftovers! My bibimbap was slightly disappointing due to the lack of protein and veggies. There was way too much rice which got left. The chicken katsu looked and tasted way better - super crispy and flavorful. I think I'll get that instead or the bulgogi platter that comes on a skillet. Our next visit should be better since we know what to expect now. Bonchon never disappoints no matter where you go. I literally challenge you to find a bad Bonchon. You will definitely fail. This location is no exception to that. The location is very small however you still receive the same quality and service you would at any other Bonchon. They play k pop, j pop and a variety of other Korean and Japanese types of music. We walked in to order takeout on a Wednesday afternoon and our food was ready within 15 minutes - amazing! We ordered the following lunch specials: 1. 8 piece chicken - 4 wings, 4 tenders. The Bulgolgi Tacos were insanely good, super tender beef w/ crunchy veg topping, extremely delicious that we wanted more immediately after eating the three... Next course, the Pork Buns! I've never had them before, but was told by my brother that they are a delicious treat. Supremely delicious buns stuffed with pickled veg, a barbecued/glazed piece of pork, and some type of delicious sauce as well. No complaints at all! We realized at this point that we had ordered to much food lol. Finally, the wings and tenders came, half garlic, half spicy! If you enjoy a light, super crispy breading, then come here and try these amazingly juicy wings! The slaw and pickled radish were excellent for cooling the spice from our mouths. I also grabbed a Voodoo Ranger bottle and tried a Kloud Korean beer for the first time. The Kloud was very light and refreshing, it comes in a pint bottle a believe. Their chicken wings are hand battered with crunchy breading and fried twice. They only have 3 flavors: Spicy, sweet, and soy garlic. I like how simple their menu is, compared to traditional Korean restaurants, Bonchon is very focused with only 3 dishes: bibimbap, bulgogi, and japchae (glass noodles) Even though it's pricier than average 24 pc for $34 but it's damn good. The seasoned fries are definitely a must try, they were so good; extra crispy. Lastly we had their famous wings (8 pc half and half). The garlic sauce wings were my favorite, I'll be back for more of those! The other half of the wings were spicy, and they lived up to their name. Be cautious of the spice if you can't handle much because they were super hot, but still very good. The owner of this place is a pretty cool guy. I got to talk to him a couple years back when they first opened. Interesting background from tech and then got into the restaurant business. I think his name was Mike. Their Korean fried chicken is super crispy. They double fry it and that's why. The flavor and texture speaks for itself. It's a good spicy and the soy isn't spicy but packs a punch in flavor. I like eating it fresh so it doesn't get soggy from the steam from delivery. However, their dinning room is small and during the winter it gets super cold by the windows. They have heaters but it's only gonna do so much. Just bring a jacket when it's chilly just in case if you end up sitting next to the windows. Good food, good early 2000s music, and nice service. I love hearing Justin Timberlake while eating spicy Korean friend chicken. It just makes me cry a river. read more
