I got the spicy soy garlic wings and fries. The wings were pretty stale and not crispy at all. Flavor was good despite not being crunchy.

Super excited that BonChon open right down the street from me BUT seriously really unorganized! We came on a Thursday night around 7:20pm and it was pretty packed. We asked how long is the wait, the host replied 30mins. So we decided to order take out. As soon as we put in our order, she calls a group after us to their table. Uhhhhh we would have waited if it was going to be that quick. Oh well ... As we're waiting another group came in and the host said 30mins but they got seated fairly quickly. I guess that's their go-to answer 30mins. While we were waiting another person came over to us and asked what part of the chicken do we want? Ummm we ordered a mix so mix it up please! Geeezee didn't think it was that difficult esp with so many things on the menu. Hopefully they get their act together because I really wanted to LOVE this place like the one in Sunnyvale. Disclaimer: The food is actually not that bad. Came out fast, and to a decent price. The only reason why I'm giving this place a one star is the service. The service is complete shit. Only from one server mainly though. He would be the Asian looking one short and scrawny. First incident is when one of our items (salmon ball) that didn't come out I asked him and he immediately replied with ask your server about that and Walked away. In my head I was just like wtf... Second incident is that they ended up giving our salmon ball to someone else and third and final incident is that they forgot to give us our complimentary pickled daikon. Sigh.... I will be sticking to Togo from now on and hopefully they don't fuck that up ether. read more

Bonchon has really expanded across the bay. If you like Korean food or fried chicken, you'll love this place. My favorite piece of chicken is the drumsticks because it's meatier. The chicken at bonchon has an awesome crunch to it. Even though there is sauce all over it, you still get that crunch! You don't really get that from other places. After trying other Korean fried chicken places, Bonchon is still my favorite. It's affordable and filling! Definitely recommend going to the closest one near you! read more

This place is small. Long line as always. Food was good. Order the combo deal. Took 15 mins to receive my food. This place only open at 5 pm and close at 9. Strange hours. Two choices of flavored soy or spicy. Spicy can be really hot. They both are good. Good news everybody! They are open 7 days a week now and guess what... They are open at lunch time. I felt like i was cheated here today. We ordered a large order of wings and was given half wings and half drums. I complained and was told that those drums are their wings. She must think we are stupid or something. They are clearly drums. See my pics. Im guessing they messed up and gave us the combo instead of just wings. Went for lunch. It was a little after 1pm when we arrived. 2 or 3 other parties there. Ordered the combo with spicy and sweet and the fried rice lunch special. The chicken arrived and it was WARM. I would expect chicken that is made to order would be steaming hot when you bite into it. Sauces are good. The spicy has just enough heat to it without being lips on fire hot. Our waiters weren't very helpful. They were just talking to other male customers. There wasn't even that many people in the place like about 8-10 and no one was even asking for their help. I'm a HUGE fan on Bonchon! I recommend everyone to try the spicy sauce, as it tastes way better than the soy sauce chicken. For those who do not like spicy flavored wings, I recommend eating the soy sauce because it is on the salty/savory side. Since there's always a very long lie due to them just opening I usually get mine to go and eat them at the house while they are still fresh and hot. The taste is not the same when they are cold. The chicken here is amazing as well as their French fries, as for everything else.... ehh, they tasted ok. My husband was excited bc he recently tried this in the Peninsula and loved it. This one fell short for both of us. He felt bad bc I didn't love it like he did but with our food choices, he understood. Soft opening was pretty good. Chicken on point as it should be. I love kfc (Korean fried chicken) tho and have high standards. Not the best I've had but pretty damn good. I wish it had a bit more crunch. Spicy was a bit spicy if you have a low tolerance be careful. Another plus is that they have a bar and lots of TVs to watch sports on. We recently visited for our first time after hearing about it from friends. At first we were not sure about the whole Korean Fried Chicken but when we tried their soy garlic wings we fell in love! They're bulgogi was AMAZING as well! We tried their spicy potstickers too and although they were spicier than we expected, they had also been very tasty. Our server Sean was very patient with us in explaining the menu and he had been very accommodating. We now see why our friends recommended this place to us. If you want to go here then you should go here for their chicken. The chicken was good but all the other dish we got was just alright. I got the teonbonne (rice cake noodles) expecting it to be a soupy and spicy item but it was neither. My daughter who loves popcorn chicken from just about anywhere ordered it but did not finish it. I tasted it and did not like it as well. The service was great and attentive and also like it that they close late I believe. I will order more KFC next time and stick with that read more

I know it's a soft opening and they're working out the kinks, but the restaurant only has 2 highchairs. WTF?!? We could have been seated when we got there, but since the highchairs were occupied we had to wait. I hope the owner sees this and orders more highchairs! The four stars is based off of just my food review. The best chicken wings and drumsticks you can get! So deliciously cooked with a great crunch to the fried part and seasoning is done perfectly. Service wise, so slow, would give 2 stars.... Boyfriend and I came in this past Sunday around 1pm. There's only two people running the front so understandably you forget things and it's a little slow. I find it a bit unacceptable that we had to wait a good 20 minutes before getting our credit card/to sign the receipt back. I love Bonchon! Sad to say I'm kinda addicted. Lunch special is the best but don't always have time to go. Dinner at the right time will have some happy hour special. Chicken is by far the best Korean fried chicken around. However I do wish they have more flavor, because I'm not a Garlic lover, and their spicy flavor is way too spicy, even my friends who can eat spicy thinks it's too spicy, I think it would be great if they have a more milder flavor. The bibimbap was very delicious too! The soy garlic chicken was warm but wasn't hot or freshly hot with steam coming out. I'm not sure if they just leave these under a hot lamp or create fresh batch for each new order. I love this place and i love the soy garlic but it doesn't feel like they just came out of the fryers. Bibimbap was very good! It was very hot and fresh!!! I would recommend that! I love all the different ingredients in there. A lot of people love the crunchy rice at the bottom but I don't really enjoy it as much. I'm not a fan of the crunch rice at the very bottom but other than that it was delicious! Price is a little bit expensive here but I'm glad they have this limited special where it's 2 for $22. It's still a bit pricy in my opinion. The portion is pretty big. We almost finished the bibimbap, had some rice leftover and 2 or 3 pieces of bulgogi. We had like 4 or 5 chicken leftover as well. I'm saving it for lunch tomorrow :3. Just not the same as Bonchon Sunnyvale. Went on a Sat night at 9pm, we were immediately seated. We ordered the spicy 9 piece chicken combo, seasoned fries and kimchi coleslaw. We were quite excited since we didn't have to wait an hour like the Sunnyvale store but we were very disappointed of our meal here. First bite of the drumstick was good, skin was flavorful but there's no seasoning/taste in the meat. Husband and I half way into our second drumstick, we realized it was not spicy AT ALL! In my head I was thinking, did we get the wrong order? But we are like 4 pieces into our 9 piece dish and we don't want more of these not so good chicken so just continue eating. It was pretty bad.. I almost wanted to just eat the skin and dump the meat. Fries were under seasoned. The kimchi coleslaw was the best out of the meal.
