Despite the not so good reviews I went here anyway since I saw it on TikTok. I just ordered a lunch special, an extra appetizer with extra side. Boneless soy garlic? I'll admit it was good, I didn't see or notice any issues with anything I ordered. My only possible critique lies with the chicken portions and sides being....sort of small? Like I'm unsure if it was just me, were the sizes smaller than expected? Likewise the menu itself is wide and diverse as I intend to come here again another time to taste the other items

Service was great, one younger woman running the show. Very attentive. Restaurant is pretty largely sized. Chicken was delicious we got soy garlic & the traditional korean flavor. would definitely come back!

My friends and I decided to have a late lunch here, which didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and the space was clean. We ordered the Seoul Sampler and 10 pieces of wings (Soy Garlic) shared between 3 people. The sampler included 2 drums, 4 wings, Bulgogi Fries, Pork Potstickers, Korean Street Corn and Coleslaw. They had this new flavor korean BBQ and chose spicy mayo as the dipping sauce. Indeed it was worth trying as everything was crispy and flavorful.

First time trying this place it was empty as it was a Monday so we were served very quickly. Clean dine in location and it looks like it could be a fun hangout spot! Bulgogi fries were chefs kiss! I loved how crispy they were . It was a big enough portion to eat on your own as a main, or share! We got boneless chicken in yangnyeom and Korean bbq both flavors were amazing! Chicken was kind of hard/ dry and some were hollowish? In the middle but I didn't mind it because the flavor made up for it, plus I expected drier chicken since it was boneless. Next time I will get bone in! I can see myself coming back here and bringing friends to try more things off the menu, i had trouble deciding what to get in the first place because it all looked so good on the menu! Love this place!!!

Dad: I don't know why it's not ready to five star it's definitely a five to me great service friendly clean atmosphere Family fun. Son: their food is way better than McDonald's. The chicken and the shrimp and the sausage is so good five stars Mother: I couldn't wait to come back here the experience was pleasant the food was great the Korean coffee was even good five stars.

My cousins and I came here on a Friday night and had really good food and really great service. Between the 5 of us we shared Tteokbokki, Bulgogi fries, and the medium mixed order of chicken and it was more than enough for us. The two staff were very attention to us and were so sweet. The ambiance is casual - where you can eat solo, date night, or groups

Watching too much KDrama made me crave for some chicken. This is my first time ordering via DoorDash and the food did not disappoint. The chicken was still hot when I got it and the side dishes are yummy. My kids love it as well. We will definitely try to stop by the Newark location when we get the chance!

I've had better at CoCo Chicken in Fremont. The service stinks at BonChon, and they are over priced for what you get.

Only tried the wings and drumsticks and they were pretty good. They had enough kick but not too spicy were you can't enjoy your food

It's got that…read moregenuine mom-and-pop feel -- warm, unpretentious, and clearly run by people who care about what they're serving. One of the best parts of the meal is the spread of banchan that arrives before you've even ordered. So many side dishes -- kimchi, seasoned tofu, bean sprouts, pickled radish, and a rotating cast of others -- all fresh and generously portioned. It's the kind of detail that shows real hospitality, and honestly could be a meal on its own. The bibimbap was a standout: a cold mix loaded with fresh, crisp vegetables, served with sauce on the side so you can dress it exactly to your taste. Simple, clean, and satisfying. If you're in the mood for something warming, the yukgaejang is fantastic too -- spicy, rich, and packed with shredded beef and glass noodles, the kind of soup that feels like a hug in a bowl. The galbi was the real showstopper, though. Tender, well-marinated short ribs with that perfect char -- you can tell they don't cut corners on quality. Beyond the food, the service was attentive and genuinely friendly without being overbearing. And unlike a lot of small Korean spots that feel cramped, the interior here is surprisingly spacious, making it comfortable for both a quick solo lunch and a bigger group dinner. Whether you're craving something hearty or just want a cozy, unpretentious place with excellent home-style Korean cooking, Kong Sarang delivers. Highly recommend.

Bulgogi is a must here. The Bossam-- i can't get enough of it!! I love it!! Had some left over and ate it the next day. The selection for their Banchan is great and delicious Of course! Nothing is complete without soju. The service is amazing. They were so attentive and always asking if we need refill on our banchan or more soju. Lol. Plenty of tables. We didn't have to wait. We came here during lunch time.

Here's what I got on my recent visit: + Boneless Korean Fried Chicken (5/5): So crispy, juicy, and saucy! I loooove eating this with the cabbage. Best thing here for sure. Expensive... but fun for a night out! + Cheese Tonkatsu Pork Cutlet (4/5): Crispy and very cheesy! Tasty, but a little small for the portion to be honest. Considering the price, I was expecting more. + Pocha Rose Tteokbokki (3/5): Nothing special. On the spicier side, so I wish it was more creamy. Rice cakes were a little too firm for me too. I wouldn't order it again. + Kimbap (4/5): Solid and made fresh! Good ingredients. These are not very durable though. They would start falling apart at just the touch of them.

-- Me: 3/5 | My wife: 2/5…read more We paid $101 for the Galbijjim with extra cheese (+$6), and unfortunately, for the price and wait, we expected a lot more. We originally planned to dine in, but after waiting a little over an hour, we decided to switch our order to takeout because we couldn't spend that long waiting for dinner. When we got home, the first thing we noticed was the kimchi. It looked noticeably darker and browner than what we're used to. The discoloration was a little off-putting at first, but surprisingly, the kimchi itself tasted good. Galbijjim Meat: 2.5/5 The beef was what Koreans would describe as 질겨 (jilgyeo) tough and chewy. With galbijjim, I expect the meat to be very tender and easily pull apart, so this was disappointing. Sauce: 3/5 You can see some red pepper in the dish, but we felt like most of the heat was coming from something closer to chili oil or a capsaicin-based sauce rather than the peppers themselves. It tastes good while you're eating it, but you'll probably pay for it later. Tteok (rice cakes): 2.5/5 The rice cakes were a little tough as well. If you're expecting the soft, chewy tteok you normally get with tteokbokki, don't expect the same texture here. Portion: 4/5 The portion is definitely large. I'd say one order can comfortably feed around 3 people, depending on how much everyone eats. Restaurant / Wait: 2/5 The restaurant itself is pretty small, which seems to contribute to longer-than-normal wait times. Waiting over an hour for a $100+ dish definitely affected our overall impression. Would we come back? Probably not. My wife gave it 2/5, and I'd give it 3/5. For $101, we expected more tender meat and a flavor profile closer to traditional galbijjim. The portion was generous, but overall, the food wasn't worth the wait or price for us. We'll be looking for a place that's more aligned with the traditional galbijjim recipes and flavors we're used to.
