We arrived shortly after opening and were among the first customers. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated, and the staff member who greeted us was friendly. We were given water and the regular menu, which did not include a lunch section, so we assumed lunch specials were no longer offered. After we ordered, however, several customers who arrived later were given tea and an additional menu that appeared to be a lunch menu. We also noticed that their banchan selection was different from what we received. I ordered bibimbap and paid an additional $12 to substitute the beef with galbi. The amount of galbi was quite small considering the extra charge. The food we received was tasty, and the service was friendly. It's possible that we arrived too early or that the person serving us was not handling the lunch service, so I don't want to make assumptions about why our experience differed from the customers who arrived later. However, the differences were noticeable and left us somewhat confused. Overall, the food was good, but the inconsistency in the menus, tea service, and banchan made the experience less satisfying than we had expected.

The steak ribs were one of the standouts and were a very good cut of meat. The pumpkin was surprisingly good too. It tasted almost like they added butter to it. Unfortunately, the Angus beef was disappointing. There was practically no marbling, and it was a very tough cut of meat. Most of the other items were just okay. Another issue was the bathroom. It wasn't maintained particularly well, which stood out even more because the restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived. When a restaurant isn't crowded, I expect areas like the bathroom to be kept in better condition. Dessert was probably the weakest part. In my opinion, the dessert selection was almost nonexistent. There was ice cream and only a couple of other choices, including red bean and a tapioca dessert. The tapioca tasted like it came from a can. For $36.99 per person, the Hot Pot + BBQ combination just wasn't worth it for us. There were too many items that were simply average, especially considering the price. If we had chosen just the hot pot, however, I think I would have felt differently. The Chinese Herbal broth was excellent, and the hot pot alone would have felt like a much better value. Reid calling them but the phone seemed not to be working so I check google yo see if they was open and google said they was open for business so I decided to drive there since it was only 17 min away and finally when I got to location. The sore was closed with no sign explaining as to why so I called another location which is part of that same franchise that is owned by the same person in nutley an Andrew from nutley answered the phone and so I asked him why was parsippany location closed and he didn't have an answer so I asked him to reach out to a manager and get me an answer in which he said he did but the manager didn't wanna give him a reason so my next option was to drive to nutley which is another 22 min away from that location and asked if the manager can give me a discount for the inconvenience and the manage me said no to that a simple 10% would have been appreciated for the inconvenience.sadly the owner and management don't appreciate there customers sad and unprofessional management Andrew is worthless at the nutley location read more

I originally ordered the "TTEOKBOKKI" on my online order, then later got a call from the store and they told me they ran out and asked me if i wanted to switch to a different item, so I said to switch to "BULL DAK" becaue I wanted something with rice cakes. I got my order, and when I started eating, I realized there was no rice cake in the "Bull Dak". So I called the store, and told them about the situation, and she told me "what would you want us to do about it, maybe I can get more rice cake next time I order again?" It did not make any sense that when I switched the item to "Bull Dak" she did not communicate that they ran out of rice cakes, and still let me order it and it was a more expensive item. Also loved Korean noodle with beef and vegetable with their soy garlic fried rice. Also they had a lot of variety of drinks. Large combo soy garlic was a hit. Best chicken I ever had in my life. Make sure to order strips which is chicken breast and not ask for boneless. Ordered boneless by mistake but it's not strips. But boneless wings were still good which is not wings but like nuggets. I didn't like the pickle radish but everything was perfect. Beyond the service aspect, I'd give the cocktails 5 stars, the hot food 4.5 stars and the sushi was 2.5 stars at best. I think stop&shop sushi is likely better. Sriracha sauce on a roll is just a no for me, lazy and lacks imagination. Unfortunately, all of the nostalgia we had for this place is now gone. The hot food was very tasty, but the rest of the experience, at this price point, will not see us return.
