Clean, friendly staff and very communicable. Came here on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy so the servers were very attentive. As a caveat, they offered free fries if I left a review and I had to show them. I left a review with 4 stars since they had been nice but hadn't gotten through my whole meal yet so didn't want to give 5. I showed them the review and they then said I had to give five stars to get the free fries . I updated the review but that didn't sit well with me so removing a star again. BonChon has mastered the art of takeout food. I ordered the Half and Half 10 piece Wings, Soy Garlic Pork Potstickers, Shrimp Shumai, Seasoned Zucchini Fries and Pickled Radish. I love that they have an option to put sauce on the potstickers as it gives them a nice shell similar to that of the chicken. The zucchini fries were actually crunchy and not soggy like a lot of delivery places. The shumai held its shape and texture incredibly well in addition to the shrimp inside being nice and tender. I'm giving 4/5 stars because while the food is delicious and holds up well during delivery, no matter what location I order from, something is usually incorrect or missing from my order. read more

I ordered online to avoid ques for walk in orders. I ordered it in the morning for 6:30pm pick up and when I arrived they told me to wait for 10-15 mins as their kitchen is full. I understand but when I returned after 15 mins, they told me to wait for another 25 minutes!!! They said they did not see my order earlier coz I did it online. We've been going to bon chon for years at many different location but this past purchase was disappointing. The reason who spent $48 for fried chicken was because of the gooey saucy crispy crunchy chicken. This purchase was not saucy. It was not crunchy and they cut back on the sauce and radish. They raised the price of both the chicken by $5 and the rice by $0.50. The amount of rice was pitiful. For a $60 meal, it was like eating Popeyes chicken with no sauce. The amount of drummettes to wing section was minuscule and the large drumsticks were a bit undercooked. If I wanted KFC or Popeyes I would have gone there and not spend 3 times the money. Was going to stop at Wingstop, but right next door was the newly opened Bonchon in Springfield. Thought I'd try something diffrerent. WOW! It was AMAZING! Hubby had the chicken wings (half and half sauce) from the lunch menu and I had the drumsticks (half and half sauce) from the lunch menu. Usually, whenever I get fried chicken with any type of sauce on it, the chicken is NEVER crispy. Well, I was shocked to have such crispy chicken with the Korean spicy sauce. My gosh it was delish! Hubby and I are definitely going to be getting our wings from Bonchon from now on!!! Sorry Wingstop, but I have a new favorite chicken place!!! Now, Bonchon not only has chicken, we also had some spicy chicken fried rice, oh and the wings came with fries too. All the food was good, but the fried Koren chicken wings/drumsticks were the best!! The price was great. I thought it would be a lot higher than it was, especially with everything going up in price these days. So, Hubby had 8 wings with fries, and I had 4 drumsticks with fries. Then we wanted to taste the spicy Fried Rice (with chicken) too. Hubby had a beer from the bar, and I had a Dr. Pepper. Our total was $46 and some change. Not too bad. Wingstop would have been about the same, and that would have been without the Fried Rice. The service was great. Hubby and I were actually the only ones in there at the time, although there were folks coming in to pick up their orders. It may have been the time of day or because its new, who knows, but it was nice to be in there and be serviced immediately. Bonchon, you will have a repeat customer...I'll be back! This location is Terrible!!!! This is the second time I gave this location a try, and again the same thing happened to my order... I ordered 32 soy garlic wings and they were way over cooked! The wings were extremely dry and the coverage of the soy garlic wasn't consistent at all... Some of the wings were basically naked (no sauce). So I decided to called this location and make a complaint this time regarding my order. When I spoke with the manager (Leah) and let her know my concern she wasn't apologetic at all! She basically said, take a picture of the wings, and email it to me and I'll show it to the owner AND if they look bad we can make you 32 more. SERIOUSLY?!?! Take a picture of deep fried wings?! And they'll get back to me on their decision if they would replace them or not... I told Leah that the wings went into the trash because that's what they were TRASH!!! $50 for 32 wings, which is basically $1.56 a wing... Family friendly restaurant with helpful and accommodating staff members. We enjoyed our half spicy half garlic soy wings and seasoned zucchini fries, which were delicious. But the kimchi and danmuji (pickled radish) were both a little funky. Like those buckets haven't been washed out for a minute, like you're just not even trying very hard anymore, like you just got too comfortable in our relationship. The WORST location I've tried thus far (Fairfax, Arlington, Annandale, etc). The menu on yelp said "10" pieces of wings for $14.95. When I got there, the receipt said "8", inquired and told menu changed but they didn't update their menu. No apology, nothing. The wings were TINY, DRY and looked and tasted like it was OLD and was refried due to someone no longer wanted the last minute. I will NEVER come back to this location and will let everyone that I know NOT to either. You've been warned !!!! You'll be disappointed like I was, STAY AWAY!!! read more

I was waiting for a long time for this location to open since my go to location in Fairfax had closed. I finally had the chance to stop by and try out the strips - as these were my go to at Fairfax. When I tell you I was disappointed boy do I mean it. The chicken strips at this location are nothing like what most of the BonChon's in the NoVA area offer. At the Springfield BonChon they are literally skinny chicken tenders and not the usual big/thick strips you would get at Annandale, Fairfax, Centreville, and other NoVA locations. I can't speak for the wings and drums as I haven't tried those, I do intend try these and give BonChon Springfield another chance in the near future. read more

Horrible. Ordered a month ago for pickup and I waited 30 mins after I receive the msg that it's ready for pickup. Come to find out, they gave my order to someone else. They knew I was waiting, but no one bothered to tell me I had to wait longer because they had to remake my order. I was late for an appointment so I cancelled the order. Today, it happened, AGAIN. I used to go to the location in Woodbridge all the time. Excellent food and portion sizes for the price paid. I tried this other location since Woodbridge doesn't have bonchon anymore. Disappointing.... Very small portion of rice. Chicken isn't crispy at ALL. These 2 things are the very reason I was such a fan of the Bonchon in Woodbridge! Large portions of rice which made the price worth it and the crispy chicken! Oh now I have half of that portion (4-5 spoonfuls of rice) and chicken that's soggy. This was a curbside order. Curbside was full of people parking there and not getting food so I parked far and came in to get the food myself. Got popcorn shrimp (another fave from the Woodbridge location) and for some reason I got a side of honey mustard and ketchup?? Why?? Some parts were great and others were awful. First off don't ever order the bibimbap it was so bad. If youve ever had other bibimbap around here at a local Korean place it's not like that at all.
