Bonchon diehard here. I have never minded paying extra for bonchon cause they're always healthy sized wings and the food has always been great quality. Today was an exception to the usual experience. Edamame were cooked to mush, tteokbokki (should be firm and spongey) was the consistency of overcooked spaghetti, and the smallest saddest wings I've ever seen in my life- I'm not exaggerating when I say I had three wings half the size of what I'd expect from Buffalo Wild Wings. This location is in need of some serious quality control. In the future I'd much rather drive a little further to another location than me disappointed like this again. Unfortunately I forgot to photograph the wings and since they were so tiny and pathetic my family finished them on me before I could finish this review.

$1 wings on Monday and Tuesday up to $15. This location plays loud hip-hop, which I love. Plenty of parking and new bacon-kimchi collab bowls. The Halloween drinks were good. We tried the Poison Spider martini and vampires blood for $12.

Awesome! Never disappoints Chicken is always moist and crunchy! I am from Folsom CA and the BonChon in Elk Grove rocks too! I recommend the Seoul Sampler and Korean donuts

My family and I love bonchon's food. I used to live in Woodbridge and used to go to the one there. They closed it permanently a couple of years a go during the pandemic. We were sooo heartbroken. We are still heartbroken about it. We used to order almost every Saturday night after church and eat together as a family. We love the spiciness of the chicken and the fried rice was the best. Ever since then I have been on a hunt for another bonchon. I have tried Richmond one and this one but have realized the food taste different at all these places. My mom and I decided to come here after hanging out at the Springfield mall. The place is nice and clean. We sat down right away, it was just us and two other people so it wasn't that busy. Our server got our order wrong, so we had to wait about 20 mins for our chicken. My mom was more excited about the house chicken fried rice, she was thinking it would be just like the one she's had before at the closed location but it was different. She gave it 1/5. Chicken though was good. I will return to try other things on the menu. Our server was nice and attentive, he apologized so many times for getting our order wrong.

I had been meaning to try Bonchon for the longest time and was so happy I did! There is something about this chicken that is absoutely addicting and leaves me craving more each time. My friend and I split the the boneless chicken with half spicy and half soy garlic flavoring. All chicken was phenomenal - the twice fried chicken packed such a great crunch! Not to mention, the sauces on the chicken are coated perfectly. They have got their recipe down! We also got the Parmesan fries which paired well with the chicken. The only downside to these menu items is that they are on the pricey side. However, I think it is well worth the splurge once in awhile. The service was great and the ambiance is nice and clean. Appreciate the kind staff! Excited to come back and try their other menu items and more delicious chicken :)

Food: Great. Service take - out: Great. Food was very delicious and taste-ful. Mixed flavor varieties for the chicken was extremely delicious.

Came here to get a 1/2 & 1/2 Fried chicken and Tteok-bokki, was not disappointed! The chicken was crispy and delicious, and there was a good balance between the spicy and the soy garlic flavors. The chicken alone is worth coming back for, but another thing I really liked was that they offer cheesy Tteok-bokki, which is a whole other level of flavor compared to regular style. If you are planning on having company or just a fun family night in, I would recommend going here for some take away. Far and away the best fried chicken in the neighborhood! [sorry popeyes :( ] I would also add that the service here was very friendly. excellent experience.

I've never heard of this spot before, and you typically will not find me in Springfield. However, a few of us made lunch plans this past Good Friday to take advantage of the $29.99 AYCE weekday lunch pricing. We got three rounds of beef brisket (chadol), one thin & thick pork belly (samgyupsal) each, and half an order of large intestine (daechang). The chadol was a little too fatty than I'd like, but it was high quality and comparable to non-AYCE options like Meokja Meokja. I didn't love the thin samgyupsal as much, but the thick version was so meaty and juicy. The intestines were a fatty treat, and I was good with just a couple bites. We had to ask for ssamjang and sesame oil for sauces, which they were generous with giving. Our server was pretty attentive, but we thought it was weird that he cooked the thin samgyupsal and the beef brisket at the same time. As for sides, we asked for lots of them (sadly our corn cheese never came). The fermented soybean stew was strong, but a bit too salty at the end. The egg bomb was fluffy and delicious. They also have ramen (aka shin ramen) which we enjoyed by adding several pieces of chadol and letting it soak in there to get that deep meaty flavor. I enjoyed the kimchi throughout the meal, which was the perfect "not quite fresh, but still crunchy" texture. Overall, we ate to our heart's content. I definitely would be back for more chadol, thick samgypsal, and a bit of daechang in the future. The $30 pricing is a steal for the amount of food we got, but I'd hesitate to pay for the $40 dinner price. I don't eat enough at AYCE spots to get my money's worth, so I would rather spend that $40 at a non-AYCE spot for higher quality cuts like galbi and rib tips.

I grabbed my order from the worker as they walked out with it and proceeded to drive 5 minutes home. I get home and I'm excited to eat my KFC and bulgogi combo with mandoo when I take my first bite, and the KFC is cold and hard. Imagine my surprise at it being cold and hard after just leaving the restaurant. Unsure if maybe the soda in the bag had anything to do with it but my families meals were also in said bag and were warmed through. Well whatever I'm hungry and don't want to go to the microwave so I mix my food up and hope the heat from there will bring everything up to room temperature, in the mean time I'm ready to dig in to my dumplings. They're alright, again kind of cold but basically the same quality as if you got the ajimoto frozen dumplings from Costco. Back to the bowl now, much to my chagrin the rest of the KFC is either 90% batter, dry as hell, or cold. It's not as bad as my poor husband though, he got the pork cutlet which was 90% batter, 5% sauce, and 5% pork. It's almost comedic how small the slice of meat was in comparison to everything else, either way would avoid. Now I hear what you're saying, you got a combo bowl what about the bulgogi and to that I say it was aight. It was cooked well enough but the slices were super tiny and just not that flavorful. I recognize the flavor is probably supposed to come from the sauces you choose( I got gochujang and garlic mayo) but it was just bland. I can honestly say never have I appreciated vegetables and rice as much as I did in this dish, they were truly the saving grace this dish needed. The kimchi is trash and I can not say this enough AVOID IT (absolutely no flavor) and the sweet potato noodles were a bit goopy, but the carrots, spinach, cucumber and rice went hard. I think if I had gotten just the vegetable bowl I'd be a lot happier. I will say the size of the bowls are pretty good and I was definitely full afterwards but it wasn't a happy full it was a well that was edible food full. Maybe this was a bad day, but it seemed like all of the bowls from our orders were just disappointing. If I'm paying $14+ a bowl I really don't want disappointing. There is potential here but I think it'll be a while before I'm ready to give it another shot.

It took a bit of time for us to get food- and the side dishes were served with the entree so nothing to snack on while waiting. The side dishes portions are small, which isn't bad but they said they "ran out" of the bean sprouts and spinach when asking for a refill and it was only 7:00pm- they close at 10. Then we saw it being served to the table next to us- which I get if they are worried about running out for new customers. It was also super cold in the restaurant. The bulgogi and the pork belly dishes were nicely presented. Here, to be fair, I need to acknowledge a difference in preferences. I thought the seasoning on the bulgogi was just okay and I absolutely didn't like pork belly seasoning. But! JP thought the pork belly was delicious. Okay, on to the elephant in the room. Why only two stars? I'll start with the menu. You order at the cash register. When we went to the counter, there was a paper copy of the menu and all the prices were blacked out. The cashier perkily explained that the prices had changed so that was why prices were blacked out. So why not print a menu with the current prices? And the reality is that even though there are tables in Puzukan, this is completely a take-out restaurant. Though our order was for dine-in, we were served our meal in take-out boxes with plastic silverware. Covid redux? Also, there was no banchan, nor any soy or hot sauce on the table. What cemented two stars for Puzukan was my visit to the restroom. The corridor to the restrooms was cluttered with supplies on shelves sticking out every which way. And then the far restroom...oh that restroom. It was filthy with bodily by-product flung on the wall. But what was the worst was this restroom was filled haphazardly with more restaurant supplies. Lying out in the open were a whisk and other cooking equipment on a shelf next to the toilet. Need I say more?
