Great service. Chill atmosphere. Incredible crispy rice and hand rolls. Highly recommend tuna tacos and the wagyu gyoza!

Came in for Bondi's 8th birthday where all hand rolls were $5. I had made a reservation for lunch. Luckily, I did because others tried to come in to dine but was told they need a reservation. It is on the smaller side with about 15 bar seats. There was a few table seating outside as well. Menu is not too extensive. I did come for the handrolls so ordered a lobster, yellowtail with scallion and spicy scallops. There are 2 sushi chefs making the rolls. It is pretty quick. Really liked the flavor of the lobster and yellowtail. Didn't really care for the spicy scallop as it tasted a bit mushy. Handrolls are not that big, so I wasn't full full, but am saving room for a birthday dinner in the evening.

We saw their Sushi Sunday sign for $5 handrolls and decided to have lunch here. I had never heard of Bondi before. It wasn't busy since it was later in the afternoon. It is bar seating like usual sushi/handroll spots. Salmon Crispy Rice (3.5/5): This wasn't too bad. The salmon was decent but the rice could've been fried more. For handrolls, I ordered the yellowtail scallion, toro scallion, and hot & spicy scallop. I liked the yellowtail and toro the most. They tasted fresh and portion was fine. The scallop was different than what I am used to in terms of cut and texture. Overall, it was a good lunch. $5 handrolls a la carte is a great idea since I don't have to order a full set. I can pick and choose what I want.

Service is always great when I go. The HH $5 handroll special & drinks are great. Enjoy the scallop nigiri and the yellowtail scallion everytime.

I've only been here once but I really, really liked their sushi. Firstly, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, giving recommendations on what to try and to order based on my preferences. I enjoyed the King Salmon Nigiri, Sea Bream Nigiri, Botan Ebi Nigiri, Truffle Avocado roll (not pictured), and my favorite, the Chu Toro Nigiri. This sushi really does melt in your mouth and is one of those meals that leaves you full but you feel GREAT after eating. One of the best parts of Bondi is the fact you can build your own box. I love that flexibility and would recommend this for a pick up or delivery for a group/party. Can't wait to return!

I came here for a handroll making class through the Bilt credit card rewards promotions, and I had a blast! I didn't think I'd be full from a couple handrolls, but they were really generous with the fillings. We started out with some appetizers like edamame and some air fried crispy spicy tuna sushi with a lot of guacamole. For the first course, they taught us how to roll a cucumber hand roll. Then, we got to make salmon avocado rolls, crab, and even lobster. The last handroll, they gave us an option to make another one of our favorite one. probably my favorite was still the salmon, since I was able to get some really fatty cuts. The lobster was great, but maybe it would be better warm on a lobster roll or like sashimi. They gave us some cocktails since there was some confusion about whether or not it was omakase, and they were very refreshing yuzu mojitos. Overall, a very fun and delicious experience.

The happy hour bar service was amazing today! Try the spicy yuzu margarita, edamame, and all the $5 hand rolls can't be beat! Service is always stellar and the sushi is fresh and on point. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Never had an empty water glass and a great first experience and impression. We'll be back! Thank you!

Small cute sushi spot in NoHo. Loved the quick service and fresh, delicious sushi. Will definitely come again.

Build Your Own Box (choose 4 different sushi rolls) for delivery
    Renata G.

Delivery / I ordered a Build Your Own Box and chose 4 different sushi rolls: - Spicy crab - Salmon cucumber - Yellowtail scallion - Tuna avocado It was aiiite. The delivery was quick. And I do like the cute box it came in. However, it doesn't compete with the sushi box I usually get from a different place for $29 which also comes with salad, edamame, awesome sauces, and 4 rolls with fish that's more fresh than Bondi's.

I totally enjoyed the Half & Half box today: mushroom roll, truffle avocado roll, Salmon cucumber roll and shrimp scallion roll. The truffle avocado is especially delicious and a unique combination. So fresh and tasty! Highly recommended! Update: I also tried the Bondi's Best: the crab rolls are especially good. I agree that the truffle avocado roll is among their best. Love the shrimp avocado roll too. Not that crazy about the salmon roll though. They should try to improve on the salmon or put something else as their best.

I appreciate their 5 handrolls for $40 menu. You can pick 2 of the same handrolls and even the $12 ones. It's a great deal. Unfortunately, uni was not on the menu and it's not part of the offer. Their lobster Handroll also looks nothing like the one they posted on Instagram. The one on Instagram was a whole lobster claw sitting on top of a miso leaf and a bed of rice. That's what brought me here. But the one I got in real life was chopped lobster meat with mayo I guess. I don't like mayo. The wagyu Handroll was alright. The salmon ikura Handroll has very little ikura. The seaweed was very good; crispy and easy to bite off. I used to like Bondi a lot more. The first time I ever went to Bondi was in 2019. It looked like a regular American sushi place but they served real crab meat for the blue crab roll. How I know? Because I found crab shell in my sushi, and I was delighted at the time. I hope future experiences will be better. P.S. there's no where to hang your coats and they don't take cash

I've been here a couple of times and it's always been a pleasure. I always make reservations for dinner but it's surprisingly not packed each time. Staff are very welcoming and once we were given complimentary sake. I had the crispy rice, hand rolls and Omakase. Fish is fresh and delicious. Been affordable. Will be back!

Nigiri (Spicy Blue Crab, scallop, & o toro)
    Lauren R.

I had lunch a Bondi Sushi and I had an above and beyond experience. First of all, their sushi is great. It's fresh, you have sushi counter seating which is fun and so many options to choose from!! They have 3 lunch specials and I chose the 1 appetizers, 3 nigiri pairs (6 individual pieces), and 2 hand rolls. The O Toro and Scallop are two of my favorites. Plus, the spicy crab stands out and is modestly spicy. I love that they offer a free sake shot and warm hand towel. Thank you Joseph my server, the sushi chef, and Pinky the manager for checking in. I will definitely be returning soon!

The rice was nicely seasoned and was cooked well + portions are also big to match those thiccccc salmon slices. To be honest, I was getting a little nauseated after 5 pieces, haha~ They were definitely delicious but I'd probably just eat 3 or 4 pieces and share with a friend! It was easy to text the number on the website and coordinate a pickup time, and the staff was friendly when I arrived. konban is a modern Japanese restaurant that focuses on creative takes on classic comfort dishes,…read moreespecially katsu, noodles, and small plates. We walked into a stylish, energetic space with a menu designed around sharing, making it a good option for a casual dinner or group meal. The interior has a contemporary, lively feel with an open kitchen that adds energy to the room, and the seating is arranged to accommodate both small groups and larger parties comfortably. Instead of sticking strictly to traditional Japanese dishes, the menu mixes familiar flavors with more modern presentations, creating a dining experience that feels both approachable and exploratory. The standout item is the katsu, which is where the restaurant really shines. We ordered the pork loin and tenderloin versions and found the breading crisp while the meat stayed tender and juicy, the crust holding up well without becoming greasy. The mazemen is another highlight, with chewy noodles and a rich sauce that brought a lot of flavor without feeling too heavy, the sauce coating each strand evenly and the toppings adding layers of texture and depth. Beyond those, dishes like the butter scallops, corn ribs, and seafood options added variety and made it worth ordering multiple plates to share. The scallops were well seared with a buttery finish, and the corn ribs offered a smoky, slightly charred flavor that paired well with the richer dishes. The desserts are also a memorable part of the meal. The corn ice cream is one of the more unique items, with a sweet and savory flavor that sounds unusual but works surprisingly well, the sweetness of the corn balanced by a subtle savory note that kept it from feeling cloying. It fits the restaurant's overall approach of taking familiar ingredients and presenting them in a more unexpected way, and the creativity of the dessert menu feels consistent with the rest of the meal. Service and atmosphere add to the experience, with attentive staff and a lively dining room that feels suited for groups. The team checked in at the right moments and kept the pacing of the meal comfortable, and the open kitchen added a layer of engagement as we watched the dishes come together. Reservations can be difficult to get, especially during busy times, and the small plate format means the best experience comes from ordering several dishes rather than focusing on one entree. The variety across the menu encourages sharing, and the pacing of the meal works well for a longer, more social dinner. konban delivers a well-executed modern Japanese dining experience. While some of the more hyped dishes may not completely live up to expectations, the katsu, noodles, and seafood dishes make it a worthwhile visit. The combination of creativity, quality ingredients, and a lively atmosphere makes it a destination for exploring different flavors and dishes together rather than just ordering one signature item, offering a meal that feels both engaging and satisfying.

The ube tiramisu was free since we wrote a google review for the restaurant. Everything was delicious and the zucchini was surprisingly good as well. The pork was so tender. the ebi tempura were huge, and the mazemen was thankfully not spicy. However, the scallops could've been more tender and we we were all unimpressed with the ube tiramisu. Overall, I would come back and would definitely recommend konban! Get the corn ribs, zucchini, pork katsu, and corn ice cream! I've taken a lot of friends here over the course of 10 years, and without fail, every one of them has walked out mindblown--and why wouldn't they?! The wait times have gotten better over the years (probably because people are waiting for the restaurant next door), but the food and drinks here are still top-notch. Staff is always great, and they all work so efficiently. I am generally a fan of izakayas, but there are very few that offer plates that are designed to be shareable, and this is one of the reasons the food here is so enjoyable in a small group setting. I am obviously biased and think they can do no wrong, but some of my staples that have stood the test of time: Kimchi cream udon, avocado tofu salad, salmon sashimi tacos, and the kani cream croquettes.
