I had an absolutely terrible experience and a very upsetting evening; a young 17-year-old front desk girl served us in a rude manner and made racist comments. I arrived with a large party of friends and family. I felt terrible about it. The place is really nice and the staff are really nice. It started with me sitting down at their selected table, which was a half booth, half chair 2 person table. The table extension was broke and it wouldn't let me into the booth side. The hostess tried to fix it but couldn't. The place was dead and there were about 20 tables open, but I said whatever...not going to let that one thing affect the dinner. As I was waiting, I had a battle for my bread with a housefly. I ordered a barrel cut filet. It was rectangular and chewy (see pic), so it was not a filet. I got a side of the bacon Mac and Cheese and it was dry and the macaroni noodles were hard as hell. Very disappointed. I visited earlier in the day when the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Yet my Server could rarely be found. After a very long wait for brussels sprout salad with salmon, it came out extremely dry and tough from being over microwaved. Whenever I go to the shopping center in Bradenton, I have to stop at Bonefish Grill. The one in Woodbridge used to be my favorite brunch spot when I used to live in NJ. I can never get enough of their bang bang shrimp and their sangria. As usual, I stopped by today for a treat. My server Alexandria was very nice and dedicated. Whether it's an intimate affair or a group of friends, the restaurant is always inviting. Today, my corn chowder was delicious, although I didn't taste or see any crab meat. Their red sangria never disappointed, and I sipped it it with pleasure. Who can say no to macadamia brownie, certainly not me, which I delighted with my pumpkin espresso martini. For a franchise restaurant, Bonefish never disappoints. We ordered the Potstickers delish. For my meal, I ordered the Sea bass with Caper Lemon Butter sauce. Melt in your mouth fantastic. My sides were veg and Jasmine Rice. My hubs ordered the filet with Risotto and asparagus. The asparagus was inedible. So salty, it was like the lid fell off the salt shaker and it ended up on my hubs asparagus. Our wait staff Jenna was very courteous and attentive. The dining room art inspired us to hire the artist who created the sculpture on the back wall. So we LOVE the Ambiance, the low lighting and beautiful bar area is gorgeous. Just ate dinner at Bonefish in Bradenton. Ordered the shaved brussel sprout salad. Identified 2 or 3 pieces of brussel sprouts, the rest was lettuce or spinach. Told the waitress at the end of the meal, thought this was a brussel sprout salad. She replied, well next time if you want just brussel sprouts you can specify that. My question is why put it on the menu if that's not what you're going to make, obviously they went for the less expensive...unbelievable...I didn't know that I'd have to specify that I wanted it made as described. read more

Decided to try Bonefish after being a fairly long time since my last visit. Arrived at 7:00 p.m. and was able to sit immediately. The waitress came and took a drink order and then was busy with a large table of 10 plus. Took about 12 minutes for her to come back and take my order. Talk about 10 minutes for the meal to come out and first thing I noticed was the lack of grouper. I was expecting more since we were paying $36. It was $3 of that was for the lump crab meat and asparagus. The grouper was grilled good and had good flavor. The lemon butter sauce added to the taste of the grilled grouper. The asparagus were steamed of which I thought the menu stated grilled. It was still good and cooked right. The potatoes were good and the sauce on them what's flavorful. I have eaten at many bonefish grills and the food is always good. I started with a delicious smoked old fashioned. The service was very professional and friendly. She brought out hot fresh bread and olive oil dipping sauce. My wife ordered the crab cakes and kung pao Brussel sprouts. They were amazing. Her crab cakes had lots of lump crab meat and were delicious. I ordered the Kate's haddock. It was cooked perfectly. The sauce with artichoke hearts was good but I wanted more. I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant due to the fact that I have a garlic allergy. Stopped in on our way from the airport to Naples. Martin E our server told me I wouldn't find anything there when I asked if a particular item had garlic in it. He continued to discourage me from eating there. My husband had already ordered and was eating an appetizer. There was one other person sitting a few stools down that spoke up apologizing to me. Unfortunately, the manager at the time showed the same attitude, like I was putting them out. The restaurant was pretty much empty. For my money? I like to feel welcome. Long story short: we came to Bonefish, waited 20 minutes just for a server. I ordered a filet mignon medium. The manager came over at some point, said a quick "sorry," and that was it. It took a full hour for the food to be ready. At that point, we didn't even eat -- I asked them to pack it to go, and we left. Brad F is the most rude bartender I have ever had the displeasure to meet. Slamming around, kicking the cooler, disrecpecting and using intimadation on customers...Noon shift manager heard the complaint and likely pulled Brad aside. Brad came back and tried to intimidate customer, stuck his finger in her face. All in the bar were agast of the childish attitude of Brad. A church group from the Bridge Church was there for lunch and likely you will not see them (or I) again. I think you need to fire brad, the manager who was on the line who caused the confrontation with inappropriate management style and issue an appology to the Woman"s Conference group at the Bridge Church. Restaurant was very nice, I did call ahead for reservation for two people. Upon my arrival I asked for booth as We were both seniors and my friend was using a walker and preferred a booth. The hostess was very rude and said booths were only for reservations and proceeded to lead us to a small table that was crammed in between other tables. We were unable to get the walker in there and my friend had to lean on chairs to get there. I can understand her not wanting us to have a booth if the restaurant was crowded, but it was only about 1/4 full with lots of empty tables and booths. The salads were great, and the warm bread was a nice added touch. Our only complaint was that management decided to get a ladder out and inventory the wine on the shelving unit by the computer, where wait staff were putting in orders.
