Came here with 3, two of us ordered the Filet Mignon and "Shrimp (1)". Now mind you the way they serve it here is they cut the Filet in half and serve you a half portion and in my case the piece they gave me was the tail so it looked like a flank steak. I sent it back saying it was not filet and they came back with a new plate telling me the chef said it was Filet but cooked a new one nevertheless. Only problem is they really gave me back the exact same steak but instead of medium it was well done as they must have heated up. Needed to get the manager involved and this time they came back with something that looked close to Filet and cooked correctly. Good news is they made it right, did not charge me for my dinner and gave us dessert and a coupon for bang bang shrimp. Bad news is my guest had 3 coupons and on the way in, dropped one and then claimed he only received two. Twice we sent him back and on the 3rd time found the coupon which had fell on the floor. The rest of the party enjoyed their meals. Through it all the staff was patient, friendly and the service was good. Went for an early dinner with my wife. Server took our drink and dinner order. I had a delicious red sangria and my wife had an espresso martini which she enjoyed. Didn't see our server the runner brought out our food. I was looking for a second sangria. Runner said he would tell our server. It was not crowded. I won't be coming back to this bonefish. It was super slow there and it still took like 15 - 20 mins for our first round of drinks to come out. The lobster that I ordered was okay, but the filet was bone dry. I ordered medium rare, and it was almost well. The icing on the cake was I was in the bathroom and one of the servers left the stall and didn't wash his hands. I told the manager and she looked at me like I was the problem. The only reason I'm listing 2 stars is because of the crab cake appetizer which was delicious. I ordered the grilled salmon with the pan-asian sauce at the waiter's suggestion. It really didn't taste good at all. Also the mashed potatoes were bit salty. The potato gratin has way too much breadcrumbs. Did I mention that the prices are a little outrageous? We also ordered dessert, the creme brûlée. It comes with way too much whipped cream and it's a little too watery. The wait staff is friendly but the food is really mediocre. read more

Our server was awful. It took 15 minutes to get to our table and another 20 minutes for bread/water.Long winded apologies were useless, as he was ignoring other annoyed customers in the meantime. We were about to leave when the best manager ever came to our table. She got our bread and meals and was clearly concerned about our situation. I saw her quickly moving through the restaurant resolving customer problems, including our issues. She comped premium desserts for us. She chased us into the parking lot to apologize again and gave us a $25 gift card. If it were not for her, we were prepared to never return. A great manager makes a big difference. read more

My Daughter and I enjoyed this place immensely! The food was great and the prices great! Our wait staff was phenomenal! We were vacationing in Bay Head and had left a restaurant because it was SO loud ( horrifical music in our ears) and needed t find a nice place with great food for a reasonable cost. Never ordering take out from them again. Placed an order hours beforehand just to have to wait an additional 20 minutes after pickup time to receive food. Went to happy hour with friends at Bonefish Grill. They offer several cocktails & a few appys at a discounted price. There is no selection of craft beer at all. Happy hour is until 6:30. I decided to try the Ahi tuna. The tuna came out overcooked (not pink). Good but not great. The staff was very friendly & the seating was great for our large group. Went here with 6 coworkers who really like this restaurant and I don't know why. Happy hour I had a great vodka martini for $6 and that was the highlight of my experience. The bang bang shrimp was just okay and was on a large bed of salad greens. The ahi tuna was the best food item I had. Corn chowder was so thick it was hardly a soup. The Caesar salad was chopped romaine with nasty croutons and a so-so dressing. The brussel sprouts had some odd sweetness added to them. Tasted several of the fish entrees and they were not memorable. Support a local restaurant that takes pride in their menu and you'll be better off. Won't go back. read more

This location is located in a strip mall known as the "The Shops At Brick", which is located on the corner of Van Zile Road and NJ-70. We came on a Friday Night with my grandmother in the area. I told them about the reservation I made online. After that, we were escorted to a booth. After a few minutes, our server came by to take our drink orders. After she gave us our drinks, she proceeded to take our food orders. My grandmother told her that she was lactose intolerant and wanted an entree that wouldn't contain any dairy ingredients. Our waitress gladly gave her some recommendations in response to her condition. After we all ordered, she left. Soon, another server gave us bread and oil with seasoning. After a reasonable waiting period, our entrees arrived. My father and I had the Fontina Pork Chop. This was a boneless pork chop that was smothered with Fontina cheese, garlic, prosciutto pieces, and a mushroom Marsala wine sauce. The pork chop itself was tender, and the other ingredients made the taste even better. My mother had the Chilean Sea Bass, and she liked it. My grandmother had the Tilapia, and she liked it too. For the inclusive sides, my mother ordered the cheesy Potatoes Au Gratin and green beans. She liked them both. The rest of us ordered the fries and green beans. The fries were crispy and had a unique flavor. Dipping them into ketchup made the taste even more flavorful. The green beans had a fresh taste. We didn't want dessert that night since we were full. Went to bonefish grill in Brick on valentines day. the place was packed but our reservations got us in within ten minutes of our time. First off this rating is for a happy hour sit at the bar on a Wednesday night - I doubt that I would go here on a weekend evening as the chaos and noise would reign supreme. Bang Bang shrimp for $5 and house wine for $3 glass and a very nice lobster roll for $13.9. Friendly and efficient bar staff at least on this night during happy hour. With this limited visit but considering the overall value: bang bang + lobster roll + 5 glasses of wine for about $36 before tip - sweet deal. The downside: you need to line up at the front door at 4 PM with the old farts (like me) in order to get a seat at the bar. read more

For a chain, BFG is quite nice. The food is good, service is great. We decided to go out at the last minute and remembered that you can call ahead for a table. I came here last week with my family pretty late in the evening, we were the only people in the dining room on a Saturday night, we felt comfortable eating indoors. Our waiter, Kyle, was super friendly, very attentive, and he was very quick with serving us. We ended up finishing dinner close to closing time and he told us to take our time that they weren't trying to kick us out. The food was great. We had the saucy shrimp appetizer. Let me first state emphatically that I am not a fan of corporate-owned chain restaurants. You know, Olive Garden, outback, red lobster, etc. I was dragged kicking and screaming my first time to a Bonefish Grill (in Florida) and I was blown away surprised...Bonefish is the exception. Like all other locations, the food here is fresh, creative and delicious. The bar scene is vibrant. Happy hour is fun, and prices are reasonable. Of course the happy hour specials are great: mussels Josephine, beef and fish sliders are all good. The calamari is so-so, but I am admittedly spoiled. One cannot go to bonefish without trying the signature "Bang Bang Shrimp"...it's out of the world. All in, Bonefish is a winner. It's a happy place, with happy servers and wait staff. It's a great place to meet up with old friends or make new ones at the bar. read more

I understand with Covid alot of restuarants are struggling and I want to support them but there is no excuse to serve bad fish, if its not fresh dont serve it and take it off the menu. We have dined here many times. Tonight was the worst!!! Essence seated us and stated that she was ill! We did not appreciate her sitting at our table...sneezing and coughing!!! She should have stayed home since she was ill. In this time of caution for all of us we all need to be aware of our contact with others! Came here last week for dessert because I absolutely love their brownies and its a nice place to stop in when I'm in the area. The food was great as always however it was later in the night and with the 4 waitstaff i saw and 6 other occupied tables the wait was too long for our server to take our orders, bring them to us and even bring us the check. In addition the water glasses on the table had dried food in them. The thing that really irritated me though was when our check came and we paid. We gave them a $20 bill on a $14 and change check. When the waiter brought our change he neglected to bring the coin. Granted it was only 30 something cents but since when do people pick and choose what is owed to a customer. I don't know if it is common for this particular waiter to do this and there was no point in making a fuss but I find this to be sneaky and underhanded. Every other time I've come here and ordered the same thing I've gotten all the change. Just be careful and double check they bring the right change. read more

I usually get a decent meal here but it's sometimes over-seasoned. Usually easy to get a table, and always a good backup if there's not a table available anywhere else locally. Most Bonefish have the same menu and are pretty consistent with their food. The couple of times I have ordered take out from here have been a disaster. Eh. I'm bored already writing this....anyway, a big group of us went to Bonefish Grill in Brick about two weeks ago on a Saturday night. Now first and foremost, MAKE A RESERVATION NO MATTER WHAT TIME YOU PLAN ON GETTING THERE! The first time we attempted to come here, we arrived before 5pm on a Saturday and there was a 1 hour+ wait time. Ridiculous. Is the fish made of gold? Do they perform loving sexual acts of pleasure for you while your salmon grills?? No and No. With that, we would have never ever even gone except we had over $150 in gift cards. So we made our reservation for a Saturday for 6pm, were seated within 5 minutes and the hostesses were very nice and polite. The inside is nice, especially the bar area, but overall the place is pretty small. Decor is boring with all tans and beiges which is soothing I guess, but if I wanted to be soothed I would go get a massage, not go out for a fish dinner. Anyways, I'm usually not this bitchy, but this place annoys the crap out of me. The menu is limited and the "good" side dishes are extra $ - each grilled fish option comes with a choice of sauce, vegetable and an odd but interesting chic pea concoction. Mashed potatoes or a baked potato would be nice with fish but for an extra $3.00 I'll pass. Not that I'm cheap, it's the whole god damn point. The portion of the fish was average but the entire contents of the plate was pretty pathetic consisting of fish, a small portion of veggies and a half cup of that chic pea concoction - great if you're on a diet and watching your calories - not so great if you're actually hungry. Besides the chic pea concoction (which wasn't bad tasting at all, it was just bizarre) the fish was cooked nicely and the pan asian sauce was a bit sweet, but tasty. The prices are on the somewhat high side, especially if you opt for a decent side dish or something like a burger which does not come with anything (restaurants that do not serve burgers with fries piss me off severely) The bread basket is fabulous and the pesto olive oil is delicious. That and their house wine were the highlights of the evening. When we all got back to my house after dinner, we all ordered pizza since we were all still hungry. Sad. Needless to say we will not go back to Bonefish Grill for dinner, but sitting at the bar for wine and an appetizer may be entertained at some point in the future. read more

Ordering fish in a restaurant is always something I'm hesitant to do. I fear it will be oily and bland; a problem I frequently run in into. I figured I would be ok since all the fish here is grilled, hence the name Bonefish GRILL (yes I am a genius). The evening went as follows: Warm Bread: Brought to the table with oil and herbs to dip it in. Love. Appetizer: Mussels Josephine. Steamed mussels served in a decadent wine/butter sauce. Delicious to taste, messy to eat. Love again. Dinner: Chilean Sea bass with Pan Asian sauce and Jasmin Rice. Delicate buttery fish. At first this was fantastic. Not bland like I had feared, but still a little oily. The pan asian glaze was sweet and tangy which I loved at first but enjoyed less and less as I took more bites. The more of it I ate, the more overwhelming the taste became. Like. Service: We were seated right near the kitchen which does not have a door. I was hot and uncomfortable for the majority of the meal. The waiter was less than attentive. He took forever to clear our plates and only cleared half of them and was hard to find when we needed water. Did not like. Overall not bad. I just wish my fish was a little less buttery and the service was a bit better. read more

I am a BIG fan of Bonefish. My family and I always go to the one in Brick, but we just tried one over in Secaucus... never disappoints, always consistent. They give warm, delicious bread w/olive oil. My favorite apps are the Sashimi Platter (large, duh! - can't get enough of that!), and the Bang Bang Shrimp. I also order their Bonefish Martini every time, it has Prosecco in it. I usually go for both an entree and dessert special. I always get a craving for their Grand Marnier Chocolate Creme Brulee. aghh. It wasn't on the Specials menu last time so they threw a shot of the GM into their regular Creme Brulee for me. Love them! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Made my daaayyyy. read more

I'm in the middle of traveling for my dance companies summer tour. And very rarely but sometimes if we hope and wish hard enough we get to eat dinner ;) When in Brick NJ (which also happens to be my hometown) we've headed over to The Bonefish Grill I really like this place. NJ seems to be filled with tons of chain restaurants (Applebees, TGI Fridays etc.) So this I think is the closest we can get to an actual independent restaurant. Seafood is fresh and tasty, bang bang shrimp is amazeballs! Specialty cocktails are cheap, and they pour a very healthy size glass of wine. The thing I admire the most is the service here. Believe me my company is no easy group to serve. Low Cal this, sauce not touching food, what do you mean you don't have brown rice!?! And every time the servers have maintained a friendly and patient disposition doing everything in their power to satisfy all. For me personally I don't care as long as the wine continues to flow, but I certainly appreciate their willingness to keep us all happy. Thank you Bonefish Grill! We love the Bonefish Happy Hour! We arrive as the restaurant opens at 4:00 so we can get a seat at the bar, which can fill up fast. Their house wine is only $3 a glass and my Husband orders the vodka cocktails for $4. The bang bang shrimp tacos (2) come with either salad or homemade potato chips and they are only $5. They are so good and really a complete meal! We tried the current special of shrimp scallops and a lobster tail for $19.99 and it was sooo good and really reasonable for what you get! The bread is fresh baked and served hot with a great pesto dipping oil! Really yummy! For dessert lovers, you have to try the lava cake with ice cream and raspberry sauce! To die for! Came in on Wednesday December 21st, 2011 around 4 PM for happy hour- and sat at one of the bar high top tables during happy hour. I was immediately greeted by a blonde server, I believe her name was Nikki, who was quick and attentive. She immediately took our order and checked up on us throughout our meal. Overall, the bang bang shrimp were quite tasty - and very reasonably priced at $5 for happy hour compared to the $8.80 menu price; and the coconut shrimp and mussels were tasty as well. As for the happy hour drink specials - while I wish it was a tad more clearly labeled what is on happy hour compared to what is not - overall it was a rather good value for happy hour. read more

This is a great chain restaurant. Service has been excellent and management walks around to socialize with patrons. And issue occurred with my picky child not wanting MAC and Cheese after it was delivered and they immediately brought out another meal for him and didn't charge for EITHER! The food is always delicious and although this sounds ridiculous for a seafood place, their hamburgers and STELLAR!!! NO JOKE!!! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know.
