Wow what an experience I had here! I came for a Yelp elite event but I will 100% be back here! Everything I ate and drank was delicious. We started with their Main Squeeze gin and lemonade mixed drink, and their Bang Bang Shrimp, Wagyu beef slider, and fried calamari. Then we moved onto a delicious cut of sockeye salmon with artichokes and asparagus, paired with a light Chardonnay! It was so fresh - didn't have a weird fishy taste (like I've had at other restaurants). We ended with their espresso & vanilla vodka martini and their macadamia nut brownie, that is deliciously gluten free! Also, for my people with celiacs, they have a menu that they've worked with the celiacs association to create to make sure that they have many options that are safe and good to eat! Went to Bonefish Crescent Springs location Tuesday for dinner. They were out of chicken, tuna steaks and pork chops. We ordered filets and got a piece of meat that did not resemble a filet. We were fortunate enough to attend Bonefish Grill in Crescent Springs on Monday evening for a divine Yelp event. The restaurant is clean, the staff are throughly professional, and bursting with knowledge, and pride in their incredible work. We learned all about Bonefish, and their great work with responsible fishing, to ensure the future of our oceans are safe. The food is from their usual menu, and we sampled their famous Bang Bang Shrimp, a fan favorite...we also enjoyed some stunning Alaskan Salmon on a bed of asparagus, and some other beauties in between and around all of this. We finished off our meal in serious style with their quality, gluten-free, Chocolate Brownie, accompanied by an ambitious & expertly crafted Espresso Martini. I couldn't recommend this Bonefish Grill highly enough. Whenever my parents visit from England, they make this one of their priorities to visit, as they adore the restaurant, and the chain very much. read more

This was our first visit to this location and we are not coming back. First of all, their normal front door was not functioning and a sign told us to use the revolving door only. (Pretty sure that is illegal for accessibility reasons, but whatever). My issue was that we couldn't leave my 9mo out in the car and were trying to bring him in in his car seat. Car seat + revolving door does not really work. We arrived to a mostly empty restaurant but they sat me right next to a table full of toddlers and one of them was a screamer. Like I said, I have a kid so I get it. However, I don't get a hostess thinking that I would love to be next to a screaming toddler out of ALL of the options in the restaurant. I almost left then and there but I had eaten half the bread and felt bad. MY SERVER WAS AWESOME. That needs to be said and is the only reason I have given this place 2 stars. He was in training and was very earnest. His trainer was very capable and communicated well. Also, the fact that the Bang Bang Shrimp is no longer in the Happy Hour menu deprives me of my reason for going. read more

It was a great experience coming here tonight for dinner and drinks! I came here with family and friends for dinner. We have reservations at 6:30, my friends were there early, and sat at the bar to wait for us. We arrived at 6:20, and was told to join our friends at the bar while waiting for our table. Our server Donny was very nice, very attentive and always ready to refill our water, ask if we want more wine and ready to order any appetizers. I felt that he did not rush us at all even if the place was crowded during that time. When our table was ready we decided to stay at the bar area since we like our waiter Donny. I ordered the rainbow trout & you can order 2 sides, I got the broccoli and spinach with it, and mango salsa. It was divine! The fish was cooked and seasoned right just the way I like it. My husband got cod fish and chips, and he seemed happy with it. For dessert, instead of ordering traditional I decided to try the fresh Watermelon Martini. Oh my, it's just like ambrosia! I just sipped that drink like a fruit juice. That's how good that is. My husband got his brownie topped with heavy whipped cream- it's also delicious! First time dining at Bonefish Wow impressive! Great food excellent service, top notch!

It was a cool November evening when I first arrived at the Bonefish Grill in Kentucky. The strain of a long day at work was prominent on my face and my five-o-clock shadow told the story of a man filled with internal strife and external responsibility. As I entered the restaraunt, I approached a podium, behind which two bashful young women resided, and requested a table for one. "Are you sure, just one?" One of the ladies asked. Yes, I was sure. I tried to make a joke of it, but this would only be the beginning of my journey to find freedom from the stigmas I would face that night. I was seated in the center of the dimly lit establishment, a nice touch to the overall ambiance that provided a warm tranquil feeling of peace, surrounded by larger tables of groups leering at my lonely disposition. The waitress approached and asked if I would like a beverage as I waited for the rest of my "party" to arrive. "The parties all here!" I said as I chuckled trying to encourage pleasant small talk. "Oh," the waitress said in an awkward manner which was polluted with undertones of judgement "we serve Coke products or I can get you something from the bar." A Coke would suffice for tonight; despite the temptation the great array of fairly priced spirits the restaurant provided. When the waitress returned, impatient and tired from what was likely the middle of a long term, I ordered two appetizers. The waitress glared at my thin, unassuming frame with exasperation. "Those are designed for groups, will a group be joining you?" she asked plainly. She knew the answer. I couldn't help but feel she was testing me; mocking me. "Do they come in individual platters?" I inquired. "No," she replied in a victorious tone. I would not back down at this. I knew I had to stay strong and resumed my original order. First came the bread, then the pile of 'Bang, Bang Shrimp', and finally the bowl of arranged muscles and vegetables. I looked at the bounty before me with longing eyes. I then noticed a small white box on the edge of the table with some crude drawing and markings on it. It was a to-go box, already prepared, assuming my failure to complete my meal designed for a "party" of diners. I now knew I had a mission before me. I began to eat all of the food which was present. It was fantastic. The flavors danced on my palette in a carefree frolic of pure joy and ecstacy. Each bite was greater than the last. Soon, I had finished the muscles. Then the shrimp. And finally the bread and Coke. The waitress returned, smug and powerful, and asked if I wanted a refill. Now was the time. I knew I needed to assert my dominance. "Yes, thank you. And could I have the desert menu?" She stared at me perplexed. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to pressure you," she attested "since you have so much left over to take home as it is." I slowly opened the box she had prepared for me to reveal it was empty. Shock, disbelief, and a twinge of horror met the waitresse's face. She knew she had been bested. My dominance had prevailed. I glanced back at the timid girls at the podium and they dared not make eye contact. "The desert menu, please." I continued. I surveyed the menu and ordered some sort of devilishly chocolate ordeal of which I can hardly remember the taste. This part of my meal was eaten out of will, not hunger. I left the restaurant with my stomach fringing damaged from overuse. Though I also left the establishment an empowered soul who bested the judgemental assaults thrust upon me by a society that rejects lone dining. Overall, I rate Bonefish Grill 4 stars. The food and atmosphere are fantastic and I'll likely dine there again. I only hope my journey and victory there will further progress destroying the unfair assumptions made toward and about parties of one. read more

Went with very large group on a Sunday afternoon. Service was very, very good. Wine selection and prices were also very good. The servers brought bread with oil dip and kept that well-stocked while we waited for food. The bread and oil dip are really nummy. They have a large menu and their specials were many! They all sounded delicious although the seafood specials all seemed oriented toward sweet and/or buttery/cream sauces. I ordered the blackened fish taco with well done fries. The fries were good; the tacos left much to be desired in the flavor department. If I were to rate my food only, I'd give them a two star. But, Hub had the small filet with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. He enjoyed it; says he's never had a bad steak at Bonefish. read more

Bonefish is one of my favorite places to go for seafood. The service is always very nice; the waiters and waitresses know just about everything about every menu item and can tell you anything you want to know right off the top of their head. They're very attentive and polite and the atmosphere is trendy and cool. To start your waiter will bring delicious, doughy, bread and oil, which is so good it's addicting. If you're looking for a starter you can't go wrong with the Bang Bang Shrimp, my favorite item on their menu. It's a sort of creamy, spicy, fried shrimp served on a bed of shredded lettuce and with chop sticks to eat. The sauce is so delicious that we regularly eat the lettuce till the bowl is dry. If you enjoy seafood there is literally nothing on the menu that isn't fantastic. The Chilean Sea Bass and Rainbow Trout are two of my favorites. The menu can be pricey, but don't let that scare you off; if you're on a tight budget you can opt for the equally delicious Bang Bang Tacos, Blackened Fish Tacos, or Kobe Beef Burger, all of which ring in at around $13. You can easily have a couple of drinks, an appetizer, and two entrées for about $50, which isn't bad for the food and service you're getting. The dessert menu is equally fantastic, you can't go wrong with anything they make. Just be sure to order some coffee with it, something about their coffee is simply divine! Bonefish is a great place to go for a romantic evening or for brunch with friends on Sunday. In fact, quite a while back, two of my very close friends were engaged at this Buttermilk Bonefish location. We were floored by the service we were given! The staff brought us a round of drinks in the house and champagne for my friends. Later after we left we all took a very long time saying our goodbyes outside near the patio furniture and the staff brought us even more drinks. It was very nice of them and we felt that they were truly happy for our friends and celebrating with us. You can't beat that service! read more

My only experience here was during a business dinner. And I have to say that considering the size of the group, the service was really good. But that's about all they have going for them. On a Wednesday evening, the place was packed but I'm not really sure why. I always start by looking at the beer selection which was quite pathetic. The best option Sam Adam's. From there, I thought the food prices were way too high (and this was a business dinner, I wasn't even paying and I noticed the prices). I know it's fish but it's not made of gold. I've been dining at Bonefish in Crescent Springs since it opened several years ago. One of my favorite items is the calamari app. A few nights ago I ordered the calamari and got a small pile of chopped lettuce and a large pile of peppers garnished with a few small overcooked pieces of calamari. I've noticed over the last year or so each time I got calamari there was a little less squid and more peppers. Now they've gone too far. The description of the app should say fried peppers garnished with calamari. We complained and the order was replaced with an order that was basically the same. Everything else we had was good. So we got a family meal deal from here and it was ready in the amount of time quoted and the chicken and mashed potato's were really great but our salad was frozen. The lettuce was wilted and the heart of palm was literally frozen together. The $35 for the meal deal is great and I understand you have to prep things but the salad being frozen was really upsetting. We ordered food so we wouldn't have to make any ourselves and ended up making a completely new salad at home because we couldn't eat this one. We called and the manager said they're send some app coupons to our house & offered to remake the salad but we'd already finished dinner. We also ordered a Bang Bang shrimp app that wasn't included on our bill or given to us period. Bonefish Grill is like a fancier Red Lobster. Here are the pros: 1. Nice, solid fish selection with several options for preparation. Pan Asian is my fav. 2. Food always tastes great and the specials are always interesting. 3. Excellent appetizers - especially the bang bang shrimp. Even the lettuce is great in that appetizer. 4. Great service - I've never had bad, unprofessional service here. And I've been here many a time. 5. Bathrooms are always clean - MAJOR PLUS! You can always tell the cleanliness of a restaurant by how clean their restrooms are. Here are the cons: 1. Sub-par non-seafood selection. Yes, it's a seafood place but... if you go there with friends and you aren't that into seafood, you have really limited options. Really limited. Like you have 3 things to pick from. And they aren't that healthy. 2. Parking is a pain in the butt, but you can park at the neighboring 5/3rd lot. 3. The revolving door is terrifying - it's completely blacked out and it feels like it's swallowing you alive for a brief few seconds. 4. Smallish dining area which means longish wait. Even if you go in the middle of the week. 5. They don't give you crayons anymore to draw on the paper on your table. Major bummer. The servers used to write their names on the end of the table on that paper and leave the crayons for customers to doodle with while they waited for food. I've never sat at the bar or had a drink from Bonefish so I'm not sure how that service is there. I have dined with people who have ordered drinks, though, and they always seemed very pleased with their choice and noted that the drinks were a little strong - which means a good value at least. Overall, if you go, I highly recommend doing call ahead (you'll probably still have to wait though) or get a reservation. Just stick with the seafood since the non-seafood choices aren't that great and definitely get the bang bang shrimp. read more

You know, i'm not really a big fan of chain restaurants, so I usually overlook this place, because I fear it will be boring and predictable, but seriously, this place doesn't disappoint. After being given a gift card for this restaurant group (Outback, Carrabas, & Bonefish are all available in our area), we opted to use it for Bonefish. Being new parents, the rare occasion for date night is a big deal too, and this place far exceeded our expectations. First of all, our server, Mike, was awesome. He had great recommendations to offer without being pushy, and we took them, because he seemed sincere, and really friendly, and they didn't disappoint. From the wine selection to the (off the menu) Razz topping for my Grouper, each recco he gave was stellar. We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, which was awesome. A bed of greens with fried shrimp on top dressed with a perfect spicy mayonnaise-y sauce that'll make your nose run and leave you wanting more. My husband ordered the monkfish, which was a first and loved it. Mike said they feed on lobster, so they kind of taste like lobster, and it didn't disappoint. As I mentioned, I ordered the Grouper with the "Razz" toping, which included lump crab meat, tomatoes and spinach. It was a little piece of heaven. In between courses Mike brought us some complimentary Crab chowder, which was just fantastic, and oh-so nice of him. We'd definitely recommend going. We'll be back. We went to Bonefish for the first time ever last night on our way to a Christmas Party.... I was pleasantly suprised. The place was PACKED but we were able to sit down at one of the "group" high top tables in the bar area right away. Apparently they reserve 1/3 of the restaurant for reservations and the other 2/3 for walk ins. The bang bang shrimp was really good and and a pretty generous portion. We split an entree and they cooked and plated it separately which I appreciated. I have visited Bonefish at the Crescent Springs location multiple times. Historically, the food and service has been impeccable. However, my experience today was unfortunately disappointing. I brought my parents and family friend for brunch. As I have not seen my parents in quite a while, we were busy talking wanted to take our time to order while enjoying a couple of drinks. Shelby was our server. After being served a round of drinks and when she came to check on us, my father asked for her to bring another round and she acknowledged. The next time she came to the table, I realized we had not decided what we wanted for entrees so asked my party if they wanted an appetizer to start. Shelby immediately said to us that to receive the bottomless drinks we all had to order an entree as to assume that we had not thought or planned on doing so. I told her that we definitely planned on doing so but not everyone had taken the time to make a final decision on their order so I was inquiring with my party if they wanted to have an appetizer to start. I am unsure what about our presence that made her make this comment. After I made the aforementioned comment, she then was kind throughout the rest of our meal. I found her initial comment to be rude and disappointing. I hope that I do not experience this again. read more

My husband and I had dinner at the Butermilk Pike Bonefish last night. We had two of the specials and the calamari appetizer. The food was well prepared. This review, however, is really about the service. Mike was wonderful. He knew just how often to stop by and just what to offer. He was also very knowledgeable about ingredients in the dishes and what made each unique. Also, we sat right by the kitchen. It was like watching a ballet. people were constantly zooming in and out, never quite running into each other. The staff all treated one another thoughtfully, making sure that the entry mat stayed in place, picking up after one another. My favorite touch was just after we placed our orders and were finished reading, one of the waitstaff lowered the light level making it more intimate. We went into this restaurant for a late lunch. We were seated immediately. The table next to us was dirty and was never cleared. We sat for 15 minutes and no waiter had even stopped by to get our drink order. We asked an employee to see if we had a waitress. She said "sure" then went to refill drinks, never asking anyone. I sat at the bar for a quick dinner while I was traveling for work. Service- great! I was promptly greeted. One of the servers gave me a great recommendation to try their Mahi mahi. She also recommended trying a couple of their sauces to go with the fish on the side. I had to ask for bread and water, but other than tha t, service was excellent. Quality- House salad was a perfect start to the meal and came out very quickly. Mahi mahi was grilled just right and was not overdone! Potato au gratin was very cheesy and hearty. It was sinful. The vegetable side of the day was a mix of garbanzo beans/spinach/tomatoes and it was also unbelievable. I could have eaten a bowl of it. Overall a good dinner. I would definitely go back! read more

Sunday brunch... Need I say more? Chipotle Bloody Mary with celery and bacon and a spicy sugared rim... Did I mention bacon? So you take a drink and get the sweetness of the rim mixed with house made mix and a slice of bacon that literally hits your nose making your mouth water. Just order one and see for yourself! I ordered the California omelet with the steamed asparagus as a side. It was delicious and lite! The only down fall is the plain multigrain toast... Serve that with a little flare, some butter or something maybe a spritz of sugar and cinnamon! Finished it all off with a hand squeezed ruby red grapefruit martini with sugar on the rim! Delicious! Poor service. Waited forever to order. Food ok nothing to make you wanna come back!

It had been awhile since we had dined here and thought it would be good and something different, but unfortunately we were wrong. We finished our drinks halfway through our appetizers, sever walked by several times and didn't get us refills or clear our table. When our meals came out we still had empty glasses and had to ask another server for refills. By the time we got them my food was cold. I needed more ketchup for my fries but our server was no where to be found. We left hungry and completely disappointed with our whole experience and won't be back to this location. Absolutely amazing food and service! Chris took great care of us despite having multiple tables he was juggling during the Sunday evening rush. My husbands corn and lump crab chowder soup was amazing, the bread was replenished quickly and was piping hot (I could drink the herb dip with a straw but refrained) and our steak and crab cake dinners were cooked perfectly. This is me and husband's favorite place to go for dare night, or to celebrate a special occasion. It's also a great place to bring kids. I love that we can color on the paper table covers. We always have a good time drawing and writing on there. It is also great that it's not some sticky table. Along with the atmosphere the food might be the best part about it! To start, the bread and olive oil dip is so good - I always get more than just one plate. The bang bang shrimp is so delicious! I could go there and have just the bread and shrimp and be totally happy! Me and my family have tried a variety of things on the menu and everything that we get is amazing. My favorite is always the filet mignon! I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for good food and a nice place to go read more

Everything (all 5 of us) ordered was cooked to perfection and in a timely manner! my Steak was a perfect medium rare, my crab cake wasn't cooked to death! This Bonefish location is light years ahead of the Norwood location, so if you've had a questionable experience there, please give Crescent Springs a try. Service, atmosphere and food are great. I went for dinner and loved the place and the food (shrimp and scallops) so much that I brought my boys there for Easter brunch. I've been doing the Whole30 program since February, so eating out has been quite a challenge, but the folks at Bonefish are wonderful. They were more than happy to cook my omelet in clarified butter so I could stay in compliance. I will be back over and over again! read more
