My girlfriend and I had a flawless dinner in this seafood restaurant. Table bread: The bread was served warm; I especially loved dipping the bread in the pesto filled olive oil. Bang bang shrimp: This signature appetizer was piled high and deep with shrimp with shredded lettuce at the bottom. The seafood was smothered in sweet Thai chili sauce and sriracha. Be sure to mix the lettuce with the shrimp. Chopsticks are included, but they are not necessary. Chimichurri Bistro Filet: The tender, juicy 8-ounce steak was served medium rare. Pre-slicing the steak is a great convenience because that's one less kitchen utensil you will need. The chimichurri sauce was beyond phenomenal. In addition to the steak, I also smothered it in the side dishes. Lily's Chicken: The chicken had a variety of toppings which included goat cheese, spinach and artichokes. It was undoubtedly one of my favorite plates. We came for drinks after dinner on a Friday night and it was quite empty. We sat at the bar and were promptly approached. I haven't been to bonefish in such a long time however I have been seeing them advertise $5 Margs and Martini's lately. I was near one so I said let me stop in. I sat at the bar. It wasn't that many people there at the time I arrived but soon became filled. The ambience was nice and calm. The bartender Anastasia was amazing. She let us know what was included in the social hour which was pretty much all the martini's. I started with the coconut martini which was delicious and then tried the Keylime Martini needless to say that was my favorite. The presentation was the cutest just made me want to go back to Keywest. Food we tried the chicken bites and sliders they were okay but the drinks delicious and again Anastasia was great very personable, attentive and customer service awesome. Bonefish Grill has always been a staple for me and my family, and they never disappoint. While I always enjoy dinner favorites and their specials -- including a stuffed soft shell crab in the past, dynamite salmon, Mexican street corn, and mahi-mahi; lately I've dined in for brunch. The crab and fontina cheese frittata is so soft, has a creamy cheese, and is easily the best egg dish I have ever tried. The potatoes it comes with are well-salted and perfectly crispy. Even the bacon on the side is nice and crispy! If you visit for brunch, you have to try the crème brulee French toast. It is SO soft, with a nice crisp on the edges and has a unique taste that satisfies my craving for sweets. Both times I have come for brunch, I have had the sweetest servers who always checked up on us to make sure everything is good. Whether I get takeout or dine in, the food is always ready in a timely manner. On top of that, Bonefish's moody atmosphere makes for a pleasant dining experience. While I'll always recommend Bonefish Grill, definitely check out their brunch on Saturdays and Sundays if you have the chance! read more

Always delicious food, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. One of my go-to places for a chain restaurant. I personally love the all scallop meal (all scallops instead of shrimp and scallop skewers), the Brussels sprouts, crab cake, and broccoli. The chimichhrri and spicy aioli on the side are very tasty. They even actually have real sriracha which a lot of places in NJ don't anymore. I would skip the asparagus. The crab dip is fattening for sure but delectable. The bang bang shrimp is usually a crowd fav. They have weekly meal and drink specials. I usually always get the Kendal Jackson Chardonnay. As I mentioned the staff is always amiable and they work together as a team between who takes the orders, who brings the drinks out, food out, etc The inside is dimly lit, wooden nautical vibe with light, yet calm music and is peaceful to come for dinner or lunch. There were a few other tables occupied, but otherwise the space was pretty empty given how large it was with not a lot of customers at the time we came. The menu had a decent mix of entrees and we settled on getting a few apps along with our main dishes to share for four. The bread was not bad and the appetizers overall pretty lackluster - the lettuce that came with the tuna was very halfhazardly placed bad honestly just wasn't too appetizing. The shrimp and steak was just okay - burnt pieces of shrimp, small portions, and just in general more disappointing than anything else. The spinach that came with it was more than expected and honestly tasted more like a dip than a side - much too salty. Overall, I would likely not come back to this establishment if looking for a tasty, quality meal. Last night was my 2nd time at Bonefish and did not disappoint. The pineapple martini might have been one of the best drinks I've ever had. It was sweet, strong and just over delicious and easy to drink. I got two ! And would have gone for a third if I didn't have to drive. Complimentary bread with olive oil is always a yes for me. It was warm and fresh. This restaurant has had many management changes over the years. The service is very good when the restaurant is staffed properly. The decor is from corporate as it is a chain restaurant. However a local touch would help brighten it up. The food is not fresh tasting and the server admitted it was frozen fish. The bang bang shrimp was good. I always feel sort of bad coming in right before a place is closing, but my husband was determined... I'm glad that we did! I was very happy to grab a bite to eat at Bonefish Grill, a trusted seafood chain, in my first few days in central Jersey area. The inside/outside looked like the other locations. It was early afternoon so not too crowded at all. Only ambiance complaint is the blasting air conditioning- very chill inside. The service was good. The hostess and our waitress were very patient with our indecisiveness. I enjoyed the blueberry lemon drop cocktail from the happy hour menu. Our food came quickly and was hot and delicious. I usually order the salmon or sea bass but decided to go with the lobster tail this time. It was very tasty, and I had some to bring home too. One of the great things about Bonefish is that the entrées come with two sides. The kung pao Brussel sprouts are 10/10. Great flavor and crunch. read more

The staff was very friendly. When we arrived, the dining room was relatively empty. We were seated in on of the booths along the perimeter. As the evening went on, just about all the booths were full,though there was a thick barrier between booths and the tables in the center of the room were empty. The Cosmo was very potent. Bonefish is hands down my favorite go to "chain" restaurant. The bang bang shrimp is a must try! The sauce is creamy with a tiny kick of heat. The shrimp are perfectly crispy every time. Really my only problem is having to wait for them to cool down so you don't burn your mouth! You can get it as an app or in taco form as an entree - my favorite is the app. My go to order is Lily's chicken - the combo of grilled chicken, goat cheese and artichoke is just amazing. My boyfriend got the Chilean sea bass which was perfectly cooked and seasoned! The side of Mac and cheese is also a must try if you have room. I will definitely get that instead of mashed potatoes which was ok. For dessert I usually get the macadamia brownie which is one of my favorite desserts ever. The brownie is warm and the perfect texture and it's topped with a delicious berry sauce, homemade whipped cream and ice cream. This time we tried the coconut key lime cake which, was also delicious! Bonefish Grill does not disappoint! I like everything about this restaurant. Tonight I came here with a couple friends. There was about a half hour wait when we arrived at 7 PM on Saturday, so I know for next time to make reservations! We got drinks at the bar while we waited, and I got a text when the table was ready. I thought that was a nice and convenient way to organize the seating process. All of the staff we encountered, from the hostess, to the bartenders, to the server, were enthusiastic and energetic. The whole restaurant has a really great, high energy, vibe. Everyone in our group enjoyed every bite of our meals. I had the salmon with broccoli and whipped potatoes, my one friend had steak, and my other friend ordered shrimp. During the meal, we were commenting on how delicious and flavorful all the dishes were. My friend who got coleslaw with his steak, said it was literally the best coleslaw he has had in years! My recommendation would be to come here on Monday or Tuesday night when there isn't a huge rush and better service can be paid to you. The East Brunswick location is friendly and welcoming and the staff is wonderful. There is complementary bread with olive oil which is always a delight. If you're coming to Bonefish for the first time, you absolutely must try the bang bang shrimp! It's super tasty, get it freshly made. There are also a lot of grilled fish dishes that are great and you should definitely experiment with new seafoods. If you are in the mood for a burger, definitely try the half lb burger. It's a generous portion and really hits the spot. There is plenty of parking, and while it's right off the busy and bustling route 18, it's conveniently located in a large strip mall. read more

I haven't been to bonefish in a couple of years. My past experiences were usually great. However, it seemed to fall short this time. My first course that me and my friends got were the bang bang chicken, and bang bang shrimp. Both very simple, but consistent quality dishes that I have enjoyed in the past. My main course on the other hand is a different story. In the past I used to always order the Ahi Tuna Steak with no issues and always tasted great. I guess time has done a number on the place. Now I'm not faulting our server, it was very busy but he was very polite and attentive. However, there was definitely a problem somewhere between the kitchen and the front. First off the tuna steak, was much much smaller this time. The tuna had no flavor was cooked well done and not the requested medium rare. In addition to that the entire dish was cold. Again, our server was great and it was very busy. so there are plenty of variables that could've come to play here. This place definitely hit a rough patch for and we will have to see whether this restaurant is worth a another visit. read more

For appetizer I had Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts. The dipping sauce it came with was good, but I wish they gave you more of it so I can pour it over the Brussels Sprouts to give it more flavor. The appetizer overall was just ok. For dinner I had the swordfish with pumpkin ravioli. It was pretty good, and definitely much better than I anticipated for at a chain restaurant. For dessert I had the pumpkin lava cake. I was disappointed with that cake because it wasn't filled with the cream cheese lava center as specified. Instead the cream cheese was just on a small section on top of the lava cake. The cake was kinda of dry, but overall it was decent. It would of been delicious if the center was filled with more cream cheese. Everything I had was overall ok/good, and it was pretty good for a chain restaurant. I can see myself giving this place 4 stars when I come back next time and try more dishes. It's been about 10 years later since we last came here. We decided to come back here our daughter's birthday. Here we are, 10 years later..... The restaurant is large and has a simple interior design. The place is dimly lit for a romantic atmosphere and there are plenty of tables and booths for seating. There is also a bar at the back of the restaurant as well as cabinets and shelves that are stocked to the brim with wine bottles. We got seated after we checked in. Daughter had the Rainbow Trout with Chimichurri from the wood fired grill. She had a side of garlic whipped potatoes and spinach. She thought it was tasty but nothing special. Hubs thought it was good and that her meal was the best one out of the three. Hubs had the mussels with side order of asparagus and liked it a lot but would've preferred if they gave him some bread. Asparagus was nothing special. It was steamed and lemon was added. He felt he could've done this at home. Lastly, I had the blackened fish tacos with bacon mac and cheese and though it was ok. Ugh, what a disappointment. My wife and I both had the fillet mignon special with the scallops and shrimp scampi on top, $36. I actually had to giggle at the size of the scallops, which were quite literally a teaspoon serving of scallops the size of my pinky nail. To call the sauce that came with the dish scampi was at best a stretch, as it did not even have a hint of garlic. It was more like a lemon cream sauce that had no place on top of a steak. The roasted potatoes that come with it were a joke. These potatoes had absolutely no business being called roasted as the appearance, texture, and taste was boiled. And NO flavor. I grew up in a German home, so roasted potatoes were a staple. These were not even close. I ordered my fillet medium rare and it came out medium well. Granted they replaced it without an issue, but at that point, I was disgusted and could not wait to leave. The ambience is very nice, but that is not enough for me to ever return to this place. I got the house salad, fresh water lobster tail with garlic mash and green beans. I devoured it. It was so good.for dessert, I ordered the brownie with ice cream and he bought out three spoons.
