    Smoky Crab and shrimp risotto
    Chandler D.

Are you looking for a delicious place to dine out that offers a 4 course meal paired with wine OR cocktails every month? Look no further! @bonefishgrill has you covered! This month featured a 4 course meal paired with Wine! First Course: Crispy Bang Artichoke Salad paired with Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Second Course: Smoky Crab and Shrimp Risotto paired with Meiomi Pinot Noir Third Course: Filet Del Mar paired with the Prisoner Red Blend Fourth Course: Gooey Butter Cake paired with Unshackled Cabernet Sauvignon My favorite wines from this event was the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc and the Meiomi Pinot Noir. The Artichoke Salad had a nice pairing and the flavors with the crispy bang sauce was fantastic! The Crab and Shrimp Risotto paired well with the Pinot Noir and had just enough balance of flavoring between crab, shrimp and smoky. The filet was cooked delicious well and paired well with asparagus! The gooey cake was nice and gooey with cranberry's and cranberry sauce! I can speak in regards to the dinner but the service here was AMAZING during the monthly 4 course meal dinner! They have tables set up for it every month and it's also a great way to meet others as you're seated with others! They also do raffles during the dinner as well!

Bonefish is a classic. I love the seasonal and rotating items. Our waitress was very friendly and suggested we try the lobster ravioli and bourbon glazed salmon which were delicious. The pumpkin spice lava cake was enough to share. Very moist well-spiced cake with a little mint garnishment.

Came here for Social Hour. The food and drinks were excellent. We sat at a comfortable booth in the bar area. We both ordered the Mango Bourbon. Delicious. Mango gives it a subtle touch of sweetness. Not too much. We were brought yummy bread with seasoned olive oil for dipping. Then we enjoyed BLT nachos (Husband loved this), Crowd Pleaser combo plate, Ahi Tuna Poke ( my favorite), and calamari. Food was a good value. And the drink was the best.

Mahi Mahi & Shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans

We went on Saturday night for a semi-early dinner (5:45/6pm) and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. We got the bang bang shrimp app to start and the tropic heat martini & smoked old fashioned. The drinks and app were great - can't go wrong with bang bang shrimp! I got the Mahi Mahi and shrimp for dinner and it was delicious. I've never gotten Mahi Mahi before and I really enjoyed it. Everything came out very quickly. I got the feeling that the staff was a little bored because there weren't a ton of guests at the restaurant for a Saturday night. This makes me a little nervous that the business maybe isn't doing too great (especially with the centreville location closing), as this should in theory be the busiest time. Even after we were there for a while, it still didn't get too busy.

Bang bang shrimp is one of those dishes I get cravings for when I want to eat somewhere casual, comfortable, reasonable and tasty.  Bonefish Grill always fits the bill.  The dining area is spacious and the service is friendly.  Though the bang bang shrimp are my favorite, there are many good items on the menu.  We like to order a bunch of small plates rather than an entrée and even so, the servings are generous and we never go away hungry. It's also nice that they will bring by nice hot bread and herbed olive oil for dipping as well as extra chips if you run out with your appetizer.  The broth for the mussels Josephine also made for very good dipping.  We really liked those as well as the imperial dip which had more lump seafood in it than we would have expected.  Nice and hot and gooey and yummy.    The tempura crunch sashimi tuna was good but we might try something different the next time we go.  For three people with hearty appetites, three appetizers was a great amount for lunch.  It is hard to beat Bonefish for casual and affordable seafood.

    HH margarita. SO good!
    Alex J.

Trying new places for happy hour and thought about this place. We haven't been in a while, but remember it was pretty good with HH items. When we got there, we were disappointed that they didn't have HH food items, only drinks. I did order the margarita and it was awesome! I got two while my partner got red wine. I loved the margarita so much that the bartender let my partner take a pictures of the alcohol bottles to use. You know if you don't write it down or take a picture, one will forget. LOL. Regular menu food was good, so no biggie about no HH food. The drink alone was worth going.

A special shoutout to our server, Sandra, she was fantastic. We started with the bang bang shrimp--perfectly crispy with a delicious sweet heat that wasn't overpowering. Easily one of the best appetizers we've had. For my entrée, I had the twin lobster tails they were tender, buttery, and flawless. The seasonal vegetables were fresh and perfectly seasoned. My husband ordered the Connecticut lobster roll, which was loaded with generous chunks of lobster, lightly dressed, and served on a perfectly toasted roll with crispy fries. Simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious.

It's in a newish shopping center, which, for us, had a bonus-- there is a Harris Teeter there. We needed to pick up some items, so we did before having dinner. We were here for an early dinner. Now that it's getting darker so early, we try to avoid driving after dark, when possible. Thus, we were here around 3 p.m. and were glad to see they were serving dinner at that time. To drink, I chose a mocktail called "What a lychee" which consists of "lychee, pineapple juice, club soda". It was garnished with a lychee. I did enjoy this drink. My husband had a non-alcoholic Stella Artois. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated immediately. Having looked at the menu before arriving, we each knew what we wanted. I chose to try the "Blackened Pan Seared Yellow Fin Tuna" which (supposedly) consists of: "Topped with jumbo lump crab meat, sundried tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, creamy lemon sauce served with rice." My husband chose the "Shrimp platter," which (supposedly) consists of: "crispy beer battered shrimp, coleslaw and chipotle sauce served with hand cut French fries." It took a while for our food to come out. As I was eating, it dawned on me that there was no crab meat or sundried tomatoes. Also, the sauce sure was a creamy lemon sauce. It was more like a miso-flavored sauce. Hard to say if the menu got changed, but no new menus were printed up to fix it. Or was it that the young man who cooked the food wasn't familiar with the entrees? Still, despite the discrepancies, I did like this dish, although it would have been even better if they had prepared it correctly. My husband noticed that there was no Chipotle sauce on his dish. Instead, there were two small containers: one with ketchup and another with tartar sauce. He, too, thought that his shrimp was well prepared, although the breading didn't cling to the shrimp. This experience left us with mixed feelings. On the one hand, we appreciated the friendly, attentive service. Yet, on the other hand, we wonder whether it's worth going again, given the possibility of not getting all the ingredients for one's entree. We liked the ambiance, which evoked images of the beach. They have some nice paintings on one wall depicting the seashore, a lighthouse, and beach houses.

I was impressed when it was a variety of boutique oysters - Sweet Jesus, Ford Signature and Tangler. They were all very good and clean, I do wish they had remembered to bring the mignonette. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful. For entrees my husband got the Ribeye Special topped with a lobster sauce served with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked perfectly and quality cut. My son got the filet and mushrooms with chorizo mac and cheese. Again, cooked well and quality cut. The mac and cheese was VERY good. I was a smidge complicated as I wanted the blackened scallop pasta but with shrimp and oysters instead. Zero problems. Penne pasta in a tequila lime sauce with peppers and onions. Delish! One came out to 4.58 oz and the other 4.66 oz (including the container, which on its own was about 0.7-0.8 oz). Loved the bread- soft and even better with the slight buttery toast.
