Huge kudos to my amazing husband for wrangling six whole couples for dinner at Bonefish Grill. While our large group had a slight delay getting seated, I can honestly say: The food, nice ambiance and drinks made the wait completely worth it! You won't find cocktail photos because our Pineapple Martini and the Rosé Martini barely lasted a minute. I requested my trout be topped with the Crab Imperial (which includes shrimp!) This was paired with a side of mashed potatoes--a must-try combination. Our table's biggest hits were the Parmesan Crusted Cod and the melt-in-your-mouth Sea Bass. Even the Bang Bang Shrimp (we requested a light toss!) lived up to its legendary status, and those new Chicken Egg Rolls are a delicious starter. One friend said the Shrimp Scampi was just "OK," but everything else was a resounding success! Highly recommend Bonefish Grill for a fun, delicious night out. We came here for a late lunch for a friend's birthday. Our waiter was very attentive, drinks were never empty. I had the shrimp and scallops which were very good. But the standout was the Mexican street corn side! Mr S. enjoyed his fish and said it had good flavor. Little S had the "popcorn" shrimp but I would say these were standard size, not popcorn. Got this catered and it was underwhelming. A group of us ordered the sirloin and it was practically inedible- could not cut through it. The side of broccoli was raw and the portions were small. I have been to Bonefish multiple times the last 3 years, so this review is absolutely overdue. This year alone I have taken several business partners, prospective clients, team lunches and the last time a solo cocktail trip to the bar, and I must say every single visit was excellent. The food is delicious if you love seafood and you want something well done this is a place to start with. I am a big fan of the Imperial Cod and Tilapia. A big crowd favorite is their bang bang shrimp so if you aren't avoiding deep fried and love shrimp this one is a definite winner! I had recently their tuna crunch appetizer and it did not disappoint it was refreshing, filling and very flavorful - 5 stars. There is plenty of parking in this location- also I must highlight- this is "my" local Bonefish so I guess I give all the props to them, I am not taking accountability for the other locations ok?? ;) lol Back to the review, price point is about $30 no tip per person and without really getting a drink so a proper experience come prepared to spend $50-$60. I mean, I did expect it to be better than red lobster, but, I didn't expect it to be as mid as it was. Service was excellent and the restaurant was clean. Food was okay. Ingredients tasted mostly fresh but in general, almost everything was very salty without much flavor. Lemon caper trout - my favorite fish and preparation at Bonefish, was just okay this time. No seasoning surprisingly, and the lemon caper butter, did not have the same zing as in the past. Grilled shrimp - lacked flavor, yet too salty. Crabcakes - they looked great, but we're lacking flavor, just salty. The remoulade was way too salty and after salt, it tasted of mayo. No depth and couldn't taste the crab. Potatoes au gratin - I expected more here. I did not expect them to use the same new potatoes they do in the reg entree. This led to the first issue which was texture. Then, the cheese sauce.... Omg it literally tasted of a higher quality pump cheese. My favorite thing was the Caesar salad. For $60+ I did get a good amount of food, but I'd say 2 mediocre meals, doesn't make one good one. read more

We arrived on a night they were having a 25 th anniversary of the restaurant so more than 3/4 of the restaurant was booked. I was bringing a client and concerned the service might not be good. However I must say it turned out just fine. I opted to kick off the meal with a white cosmo which was quite delicious. While my client came up with an original creation for a cocktail. She was extremely pleased with the outcome. Of course we started with their famous Bang Bang shrimp which is always a hit. . We each chose a fish dish... duh that's a given. I had Chilean sea bass and she chose Mahi Mahi each with a chimichurri sauce. Both were tasty however the sea bass filet was a bit small for $38. Luckily I don't eat that much. They started out with a welcome mimosa and it probably was the best one I've ever had. Was sweet and refreshing. Each course was a delight to the tastebuds. If you're looking for decent light eats and good drinks, definitely drop in for Social Hour/Happy Hour between 3pm-6:30pm for a pretty decent selection of drinks and shareable food items to ease the tension of the work day. I went with a group of friends to bonefish to celebrate my friend starting PT school. We had a reservation and they were able to easily seat our party of 11 and they have tons of parking. We started out with a bunch of appetizers for the table, but my favorites were definitely the Brussel sprouts and bang bang shrimp. I also enjoyed the dip, but really liked the flavor of the veggies. For my main meal I ordered the bonefish signature pasta with shrimp. It was pretty good but I glanced over the fact that it includes red peppers which I don't really love. Always plenty of bar seating, service is attentive & fast, well stocked bar to make fancy cocktails and of course yummy food. Their seasonal drinks & food is always great if you're feeling like trying something new. We love the Imperial seafood dip & bang bang shrimp for apps. The house salad is DELICIOUS! Will def be getting an entree size next visit. Seafood bisque is good, just a tad spicy. This visit we just split apps, soup & a salad, but have never gotten a bad meal here. Bonefish... in the years that you've been around, I have never had a bad thing to say. When you changed up the Bang Bang shrimp to smaller portions piled on a large bed of lettuce, I did not complain I just stopped ordering it. When you decrease the calamari to a smaller portion and added extra fluff to it, I just stopped ordering it. But I was just there 2 weeks ago and got the Rockefeller Butterfish and it was nothing like this dish I had last night. I was very disappointed in the portion size. Granted, it was not some big ole' piece of fish the first time around, but this... yes, it is a very tasty dish and no one can make it like you, but I did not expect this Snack Pack. The strawberry martini was also very tasty, but a martini glass is only but so big and you just filled that to a little over half. I know we're supposed to view life as half-full, but last night's entire experience left me feeling half-empty! Ventured out for a family dinner at the relocated Bonefish and Grill, hoping for a reminiscent taste of my beloved mahi mahi and salmon dishes from their previous spot in Matthews. The new place? A tad cozier, maybe too cozy - tables seemed to be closer together. While the ambiance maintains its clean look, the food journey was a letdown. Mahi mahi, my tried-and-true choice, turned out to be a bit of a fishy fiasco. The grilled shrimp were the highlight of the evening - succulent and bursting with flavor, a saving grace in a sea of letdowns. The mahi mahi, unfortunately, played the role of a dry, plastic imposter that left my taste buds in dismay. The garlic herb potatoes and perfectly seasoned brussels sprouts provided some consolation, but I found myself dipping the poor mahi mahi into any sauce available for a rescue mission. Dad's salmon had a similar tale of woe - overcooked, dry, and not even the garlic butter could perform the miracle of edibility. The green beans and fries seemed to have taken an unwarranted vacation to the dryness desert. In this sea of culinary disappointments, my mom's chicken marsala stood out as a beacon of hope. Soft, flavorful mashed potatoes did their part to salvage the meal. Overall, if I happen to find myself in this part of town craving seafood, I might consider exploring alternative venues or dishes. The nostalgia for the previous T Bonefish and Grill experience will linger as a reminder of a more flavorful past. The restaurant was very accommodating with our car seat. He slipped perfectly into the booth. Erin was our waitress and she provided outstanding service from the waters to a birthday cheesecake at the end for my Mother-in-law. I had my hands full with my boy, so she boxed up my food for me. She stayed on top of our beverages, no empty glasses! As for the food, the Bang Bang shrimp is delicious! The swordfish special was absolutely incredible! The bacon Mac the bread and calamari, and the fish and chips were all so yummy! Even my boy ate quite a few flakes from the fish n chips. Great food, great atmosphere and exceptional waitress!
