3.5 stars. Ate here for the first time for a graduation dinner. It was a Friday at 7:45pm and the whole place was slammed. Our server was MIA most of the night, randomly popping up and hard to find him. Our drink order was put in at the same time as apps and food came out before the drinks did. Waters weren't refilled once the entire time we were there, we had to ask another server for water refill after being there for 1.5 hours. I ordered an 8oz filet medium-rare. They overcooked it to medium-well, more on the well side completely brown inside. I never send food back, but if we are paying $68 for a filet, it should be cooked to order. Once they brought out a medium-rare steak, it was perfect. Seasoned perfectly. The best dish we had was the tomato burrata salad. Lobster mac and cheese had tons of lobster but was way too salty. Creamed spinach we barely touched because it was so so salty. Whipped potatoes and broccolini were standard, tasty. Nothing special with oyster Rockefeller Dark and moody inside, the way a steakhouse should be. The women's bathrooms were lacking. 2 stalls and half a roll of toilet paper in the whole bathroom. You wouldn't think you would have to share a roll of toilet paper with the other stall at a high end restaurant! I honestly expected a better experience from the reputation this place has. I am a huge foodie and probably wouldn't come back based on this experience.

Came here for an event and was seated in the wine cellar. Really cool ambience down there. All transparency: My meal was paid for by the hosts of the event. The best wedge salad and Arnold Palmer I've had in a very long time! Steak was good but not great. I'd put it on par with Longhorn, which also makes a great steak at a much more reasonable price. Can't really say much about the service as we were a large group of about 30. I look forward to coming back with the family.

The experience here was absolutely great. I went for my birthday during restaurant week and was instantly greeted by amazing host. The rolls were divine and I would come back literally to just eat the rolls. The food was excellent. Great ambiance but it was a bit dark just in case someone is not into dim lighting. We didn't mind it. I would come back so I can taste other items on the menu.

We came to celebrate my son's 18th birthday! Everything was great do include the food and service. We had such a major variety of food but everyone really enjoyed their food. Service was on point and so was the ambience

I was accompanied by my daughter for a Thanksgiving experience at Del Frisco's in South Charlotte. I was pleased that valet was an option because my heels would only allow me to walk in and make it to the table. Our reservation was for 7:30 PM but to my surprise their was a hefty wait time. More people than I expected decided to ditch the pots and pans plus clean up and dine out. Once we were seated we were greeted by Sasha who is absolutely amazing. I don't know how other servers make money with him around. He is a walking menu, witty, and full of charm. He helped us choose our appetizers and entrees. The star of the night was a tomahawk steak that my daughter ordered. It was massive and practically melted in our mouths. I ordered Sea Bass and we had crab cakes, ahi tuna, asparagus, creamed spinach, and potatoes. I had an old fashion that was delish and my daughter had a holiday cocktail. Both were made to perfection and the bartender wasn't skimpy on the booze! I also had the opportunity of meeting the manager JP who was also very polished with a hint of realness. We complemented Sasha's impeccable service! I can't wait to come back but only when my commissions are through the roof!

We came here for dinner and had an amazing experience!! We had a group of 6 and immediately were waited on with waters and drinks. The espresso martini was so rich and delicious I loved the hint of hazelnut. We started with shrimp, bacon, and crank cakes. The crab cakes were so fantastic with big chunks and minimal breading. I loved the sauce and the onions inside. The bread was sooo much better than we expected. It was hard not to eat the entire pan! Our waiter was so helpful and checking on us regularly. I loved the ambience of a nice steakhouse. I also got the wedge salad but with avocado dressing and it was truly some of the best dressing I've ever had. I want to drink it! Then we got steaks and a bunch of sides. My favorite was the creamed spinach and creamed corn. Everything was so flavorful I really had no complaints. For dessert I was so happy I got the warm butter cake. I wanted to order 5 more and take it home! I 100% will come back here and probably order all the same things. Probably the only thing I wouldn't order again would be the thick bacon.

We've been to Del Frisco's twice now, and unfortunately the second visit didn't live up to the first. We sat at the bar this time. The tuna tartare was good, but from there it went downhill. The dynamite shrimp wasn't hot -- barely warmer than room temperature. The Caesar salad was really disappointing (photo attached): almost no dressing, very little cheese, and no fresh cracked pepper offered. It honestly looked unfinished. The corn was lukewarm, and our $75 NY strip came out warm instead of hot. The only thing that was actually hot all night was the bread -- and that didn't arrive until after we were done with our steak. The bartenders were friendly, but they were clearly overwhelmed and seemed undertrained, which affected the pacing and overall experience.

I don't care if this is a chain. This is one of the top destinations in the city for a special night out and I'll stand by that! I came in recently with my girlfriend for an anniversary dinner and from the service to the drinks to the food everything was top notch! They are located in the Piedmont Town Center which is a charming shopping center in South Park. They are located right on the circle and there is plenty of parking nearby both on the street and in the parking garages. One of the first things you notice when you walk in is the grand staircase that leads to their mezzanine level. When we walked in the place was crowded and lively with an elegant atmosphere while there were two artists playing some live music setting a great mood. They have a large bar downstairs, and a separate bar upstairs, making the upstairs area a great place to throw private parties and events. They have an impressive cocktail list, and I ordered the Jailbird which is a delicious mix of bourbon, pineapple juice, and vanilla syrup. It was very refreshing and just the right amount of booze to taste good but still give a decent buzz. We ordered the 8 oz filet and the 16 oz prime rib and both of us agreed that our steaks were cooked exactly how we wanted. Both were seasoned to perfection, and as an added bonus I got the truffle butter on my steak. It was decadent and flavorful and really took my steak to the next level. This is a high end steakhouse so be prepared to spend some money, but that being said the prices are reasonable and even affordable compared to some other steakhouses in the area. Chains aren't always fashionable, but considering they only have a handful of locations in some of the biggest cities in the country, Charlotte residents should feel grateful that our city is able to attract top of the line restaurant chains to go along with the local spots adding to our great restaurant scene. If you are planning a fancy night out soon this place should be at the top of your list!

I came here for our anniversary dinner and loved everything about this place! The restaurant feels like a typical steakhouse with moody lighting and a fancier ambiance. To start, we got the Shanghai-Style Fried Calamari which was amazing and I love calamari in general. We also shared their lobster mac and cheese which was very tasty and my favorite here in Charlotte so far. For the main dish, I got their Pan Seared Scallops which was very tasty and as I expected them to be. Our waiter was very nice with the overall service and was able to give us great recommendations and wanted to know us a bit personally to make the experience more inviting.

Came here with friends for a nice dinner! Really enjoyed the service and the steak was really good! Ordered the meatballs after sending back the lobster bisque because it was very watery and did not have any taste... the meatballs were a great substitute!

The few times I've had the pleasure of dining at del frescos have been nothing short of excellent. The food always speaks for itself, it's not cheap, for good reason. We started with an assortment of apps: First, the meatballs were wonderfully prepared, ground wagyu and perfectly tender yet held together well. Second, the cooked thick cut bacon app was a hit as always, a great peppery crust with a nice Smokey flavor. Third, the oysters were some of the best I've ever had, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Then everybody at the table besides my wife and I had the lobster bisque, you could actually see huge pieces of claw meat, a rare occurrence when ordering lobster bisque at any other restaurant! I had the blue cheese wedge and, once again it's another item that happens to be one of the best I've ever had in its own category. My dry aged steak was so rich flavorful and beefy, and the Oscar's style topping was the perfect pairing. Butter cake did not disappoint. Neither did the lemon cake or cappuccino. My only complaint is that the salads and soup came out before the apps which is not normal and we were told the kitchen was backed up. Hard to be mad about that when everything else was so well done

Do they have a dress code?

Not one that's posted. Everyone is nicely, casually dressed when we go. I didn't notice jeans but I honestly didn't look.

For group dining is there a set price for everyone to pay or for the whole table to be equal too?

I would imagine they would add a certain gratuity to the bill for any group over 6 or 8. I would call them with any question so as not to be surprised.

My mom is going to Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse tonight and I wanted to make sure that she has the best care because it's her date night and I just want it to be perfect for her. Will she have the best experience tonight?

Up until mothers day this year with my wife I would have said yes, it will be fabulous, Then they served me Burnt food and the manager came to ma and said I understand you did…

I had high hopes for this restaurant when I made a reservation for Valentine's Day, but…read moreunfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. While I take full responsibility for arriving 15 minutes late, I was shocked at how rudely the hostess--who we later learned was the manager--handled the situation. Rather than a simple acknowledgment of the delay, or improbability of getting a table, she made a point to shame us, emphasizing that accommodating us would be an extra burden for her. This set an uncomfortable tone from the start. When she begrudgingly seated us at a table that had somehow magically become available, she made another unnecessary comment, implying that I should do my part to not make her job so difficult again. My partner was immediately put off and suggested we leave, but I decided to give the restaurant another chance, assuming the manager might just be having a rough night. Unfortunately, things did not improve. The food, best described as uninspired frozen bar fare from the main Duckworth's kitchen, took over 30 minutes to arrive--and even then, it was served before our drinks. When the drinks finally did arrive, they were nothing exceptional. I ordered a French 75, and my partner had a Paloma, only to realize that even the drinks had come from downstairs at Duckworth's. Given the restaurant's supposed reputation, I was surprised that it didn't have its own bar, unlike how things are set up at The Cellar. The only redeeming aspect of our visit was our waitress, who was pleasant and professional. However, what puzzled us the most was that despite the manager's initial reluctance to seat us, nearly half of the restaurant remained empty throughout the evening. With at least three or four servers working in a relatively small space, it was clear that staffing wasn't the issue--so why the hostility? It was hard not to wonder if other potential diners had been similarly turned off by the manager's deplorable attitude and the underwhelming menu. Overall, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths--both literally and figuratively. Between the lackluster food and drinks, and the uncalled-for attitude from management (she is bald and was wearing a dress on the evening of 2/14/25 at 9:30PM-11PM), I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.

The restaurant is located in Phillips Place, a lovely little shopping area that feels a bit polished and upscale--with shops like Orvis, Tory Burch, and even a Restoration Hardware restaurant nearby. They do offer valet parking, which is a nice touch, though honestly parking is easy enough on your own. We had reservations through OpenTable and were seated on the patio, which was absolutely delightful for this time of year in Charlotte. The weather was perfect, the setting was relaxed, and the service started off warm and welcoming right away. Now, the food. The country fried steak was beautifully cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy that hit all the nostalgic notes from my Texas upbringing. I paired it with a vegetable side (I believe it was broccoli or corn), and it was a classic Southern plate done right. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and to finish, we split a praline bread pudding, which felt like the perfect Southern ending to the meal--sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive, and one of the things I continue to appreciate about Charlotte is how easy it is to connect with people. We even chatted with diners at nearby tables, which added to that welcoming, community feel that makes dining out here so enjoyable--especially for someone coming from the Bay Area. Prices felt fair for the quality, the setting, and the portion sizes, and overall the experience left a great impression. Bottom line: If you're craving a solid Southern classic like country fried steak--or just want a relaxed patio lunch in a charming part of SouthPark--The Southern Pecan is definitely worth a visit. And as someone happily eating my way through Charlotte and the Southeast, this stop was another reminder that the journey has been a delicious one.

The bread was hot and soft. The cheese was delicious as well. Will definitely order this again. For the mains, we went with the Chicken and Dumplings and the Southern Fried Steak. The Chicken and Dumplings were amazing as well. I always worry about the balance of chicken vs dumplings but this was very well balanced and delicious. The dumplings were cooked well and the chicken was very flavorful. The Southern Fried Steak was fantastic and well. No complaints about this dish either. Every component was well made and delicious. The only complaint I had was the service really went down hill after we got our meal. Our server didn't check on us until she delivered the bill which was disappointing because initially the service started out so well. The Southern Pecan is a good spot. Stop in and grab a bite.

We did make reservations for a Monday night, though it wasn't busy at all, so you could probably swing by on a whim should you want to during the week. The place was a bit elusive to find, as you have to look for the '3 dot sign' with a staff member guarding the door, which I'm sure is the intent! Once you enter, you walk down a long, candlelit hall, which sets the speakeasy mood right away. Upon entering, the classic speakeasy vibe hits you! Dim lighting, leather chairs, a beautiful bar stocked to the brim with whiskey, bourbon, scotch, and all the other good things you would expect to find in a place that prides itself on great cocktails. It certainly set the mood and got us ready to have an experience. The mixologists were welcoming and informative. I enjoyed my first drink, which was suggested based on my personal preferences in taste. It was a spin off a classic, and I really enjoyed it. Sort of like a cross of a penicillin and a whiskey sour. [The Never Ending Story]. My friend had the clarified punch since we had similar things we've loved in the past. It was slightly sweet, smooth, and easy to sip. We decided to just get some classics since the cocktail menu felt more like just off shots of other classics we love. They were both excluded well! But the thing that really blew us away was the food! I was really pleased with this portion of our evening! We had the crispy Brussels sprouts, and they were the best BSs I've ever had! I thought we'd take some home, but that did not happen! My friend got the Mushroom Casarecce. It was creamy and delicious! The beef carpaccio was also really nice. Overall, we had a nice night, and it was a fun experience to be had!

The food is not the cheapest but I do feel you get what you pay for. The charcuterie and potato dish is delicious. They have many of their own barrels too so be sure to ask what they have or change tour liquor of choice to one of their barrel selections. The vibe is great. Great for date nights or if you want to take visitors somewhere unique this is the spot.

My side dish was Mac and Cheese which was way above average and beyond my expectations. My dining companion ordered the brazilian style rib eye which he gave me a sample...delicious...perfectly seared, brilliantly presented and as good a steak as I've had. On my second visit there were 5 of us for lunch. We were all floored by the quality, freshness and again presentation. My Pub Burger was juicy, with dense meaty flavor and frankly too much to handle. This was a knife and fork burger. Again I went with the Mac n Cheese and again I was not disappointed. Of my companions, two had the Rib Eye which again was a hit, another had the Chicken Sandwich....not a crumb was left on his plate and the fourth went with the Wings and House Salad. She was most satisfied. We all shared the Goat Cheese Flatbread with a balsamic reduction....I am not bashful about my dislike of Goat Cheese....I had two helpings The drink prices here I would say are average to high....not much of a bargain. However, the meals were very reasonable for the talent involved in preparation. I would gladly come back here again.
