Just went for all you can eat menu! Boil bag, one cluster of crab legs, add ons, different sauces to choose from as well as spice level. Appetizers, po boys, fried fish, mussels, clams, oysters, shrimp, you name it. And they were doing to go bags of shrimp. Was craving seafood and DEFINITELY got my fill. There's something for everyone. Soups, salads, the list goes on and on. So much is included and everything tasted so good

We were craving some seafood and decided to try this spot that was close to our home. When we arrived, it was not busy at all. The hostess though told us it would be a 5 min wait but I guess it was because she had to make a call with a customer about an order, so other guests were arriving as well but they also had to wait as she was the only hostess. We feel like she should have sat us down first instead of telling us we had to wait, and then she proceeded to make a call. Once we were seated, though, everything went more smoothly. It was a casual spot, and it looks like you are allowed to sign their walls, which was filled with PLENTY of signatures. We ordered the "queen platter," which fed 4 of us PLENTY with leftovers. It consisted of cracb legs, sausage, mussels, green clams, oysters, potato, corn, garlic bread, and hush puppies! Let me tell you, it was the best season food broil we have ate in a WHILE and for the price, definitely worth it! The mussels and everything were very delicious, and the shrimp was my FAVORITE! I also ordered a side order of fries, and they were freshly made! Nice and hit and just the right amount of crispy. I definitely recommend this location if you are ever in the area. They are in a shopping center besides a cicis pizza, so there is plenty of parking to choose from.

I used Uber Eats & ordered onion rings with the Shrimp bag (head on) on 7-19-21. This is probably the 3rd time I've purchased from them. Unfortunately, this time the shrimp was soggy, soft, & overcooked. The corn wasn't fresh. Doubt I'll be back.

Service needs help! Lackadaisical staff which n9t much knowledge upon entry. Ordered #11 combo which was shrimp- heads on & crayfish. Potatoes and corn were in the bag along with the extra boiled eggs I added as an option along with hot garlic butter. After placing my order, 27 minutes later, food appeared. Shrimp were overcooked crayfish were on point but potatoes, corn and boiled eggs lacked the seasoning from within the bag! FLOUNDER FILETS were fried nicely but you forgot my cocktail and tartar sauce I requested and paid for! Of course this event didn't warrant a gratuity other than -GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!! PISS POOR SERVICE AND FOOD QUALITY AT THESE PRICES!!!

As a seafood lover I couldn't have a crab house open in my neck of the woods and not check it out! Been waiting on this to open before all the corona madness so I was happy to see the flags on one of my trips to Sams club. I ordered from the parking lot and was able to get my food in less that 15 minutes! They did mess up my order as I do not do head on shrimp however I was home by that point and I wasn't going back. My son as usual tried the wings. They messed that one up as well as he wanted them battered and they were naked. They put the buffalo sauce on the side which perplexed him as a 10 year old. He was dipping them in the sauce and complained of it tasting funny. I believe it's not true butter used in those so the taste was a bit off. He did however enjoy the onion rings. Back to my combo of snow crab and shrimp. I always opt for the house special sauce in a hot temp. I will opt for extra hot next time because it wasn't spicy to me. The corn was good and they use the red potato just as other crab houses you only get one of each. I would say they aren't going to bump out my top three which are Crab Dujour, King Crab or Shake Shake name depends on location and Steam it Up (no one does fried crab legs BUT them). They are on the more expensive side but it could be because of the rise in costs of groceries lately. Curse you corona!!! I would probably just go to King Crab if I wanted some crab legs but I will give them another try seeing that they gave me a gift card from coming! Woot woot! Check them out when you have the chance. They even let you draw on the wall like another crab house in the area.

What I got on the left compared to what I actually ordered on the receipt to the right

Ok so I tried to give them another chance but once again my order was incorrect. Again the food is really good but not getting items you order or missing parts of the order don't make it worth the time or money.

    Seafood Platter ( P-10)

Really enjoyed our first visit here. The service was very fast and friendly. The whole place is super clean and inviting and the food was great! We got the P10 seafood platter (1/2 lb each king, snow, and Dungeness crab, 1/2lb shrimp, plus corn, potatoes, broccoli, and a hard boiled egg) and it was more than enough to feed two, we brought home lots of leftovers. Also got a fried oyster basket. The breading was a bit thick but it was tasty and the oysters were super clean. Also the Cajun fries are yummy! The only drawback is the prices are a bit high but the food was good so we will definitely come back.

Shrimp fried rice, but where on earth is the shrimp?

Ok, so I've given them a 3rd try, as the first try was outstanding. After that downhill. Today I called in my order and specially asked for a "SHRIMP BOIL". Instead, I get a handful of shrimp that have been steamed. The woman at the front tells me "oh that's a combo!" I'm looking at her and the menu where it reads "boil". She offered to make the item I originally requested but I declined as I was short on time. I did not know the official name but definitely knew the name, so since you want to play that game, I'll ignore you as well and take coins elsewhere. Additionally? They are offering a buy one get one. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and literally received a tray FULL of rice with 3 shrimp (see photo). The wings I ordered are the sweet chili. Why were my wings NOT in the chili sauce? I am handed a drop of sauce for two orders of wings. Again, I tried but the service is horrid and there is no way I can possible support this. Hopefully Mr Chinetime reviews this place.

I stopped in here on a Friday afternoon to grab a quick bite. Upon entrance, I really liked the paintings and other decorations spread throughout the dining room. The kitchen is visible as well which makes for a more immersive dining experience. The menu seemed to have plenty of seafood but I figured I'd opt for their special, a Blackened Red Snapper with Bacon Jalapeño Cream Sauce. It came with two sides so I decided to try out their okra and collard greens, after a recommendation from my waiter. I typically don't order collard greens but he said they have pork and are delicious. The place wasn't too busy so food came out quickly, about 10 minutes after I ordered. The food looked decent upon first glance, but I wasn't sold just yet. After my first bite of fish, I was taken aback by the delicious flavor of their cream sauce paired with the blackened fish. It was a solid portion of fish and tasted of good quality, so it didn't stand much a chance. The sides were also just as delicious. It's hard to mess up fried okra so my expectations were met to a tee. The collard greens were actually so incredible as well. I don't really know what they're made of but I definitely will be trying it more in the future, if other places prepare it as good. They also had a house hot sauce with was more flavor than heat, but paired wonderfully with everything. The whole meal was so good so I understand why they seem to a have solid amount of regulars at this place. The staff were very kind and attentive throughout the entire meal. If you want a taste of Louisiana, this place is a solid option in Charlotte.

That said, Yard Dog is not a dog at all, but a superb little restaurant with a great menu and mouth-watering foods. Oh boy! Wife and I entered and were surprised at just how small their dining area was. Couple that with a not-so-pleasant noise level, you will have difficulty seating more than four and conversation will be tough, but not impossible. You came to eat. It is a very cozy, busy and fun place. In addition to the super menu there is a chalk board with specials. Check those out first. I spotted catch of the day, which was Red Snapper, a favorite of mine, which came with two sides ($26). When served, it was three fillets, so the whole eatable parts of the fish, topped with a Cajun spice mixture and a horseradish sauce. This is a to-die-for or last meal item. The fish was perfectly cooked and my side of collards were as mammy has done for eons: flavorful with pork and a perfect complement to my catch of the day. And the fried okra was great and I paid the $.50 for ranch dressing, as fried okra SHOULD be so complemented. Wife does not eat sea food, so she was, initially, confronted with the challenge of finding a dish without seafood in it. She did. There were a number of options, like pasta with Andouille sausage ($21) which is listed as with shrimp, but they omitted the shrimp for her. She also spied blackened meatloaf and some other items for the next visit. The place is busy and the wait staff is hustling as fast as the kitchen can get orders out. The kitchen looks so small, but they are a blur of motion cooking and plating. Kudos to the kitchen and servers. Our server was Sophie and she was excellent. There are beverages on a separate menu, mostly wine, beer and hard cider, with some non-alcohol items also available. We both had hard cider at $6 a can. Draft beer was available at $7 a glass. We will definitely return, even give lunch a try. I will most likely answer the siren call for five stars, which is certainly in the cards. See for yourselves.

For lunch, I went with the pecan crusted catfish with oven baked mac and cheese and collard greens. The catfish was SO crispy but still delicate inside, and that pecan topping was delicious. The mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy with a bubbly, crunchy top. The collard greens were perfectly seasoned. Sometimes collards can be way too vinegar heavy, but these had a really nice balance. When I got home, I noticed there was a foreign object in my food that absolutely should not have been there. I wasn't able to call Saturday because it was too late, and I had to work all day Sunday. I called Monday to report the issue and give the restaurant an opportunity to address it. I spoke with the general manager, Tan, and his response was extremely disappointing. He was very defensive, aggressive, and downright rude. Instead of listening to my concern, he questioned me by saying, "Why are you just now calling me?" and "Why are you calling me out of the blue?" The fact remains that regardless of when I called, there was a foreign object in my food that should not have been there. The timing of my call does not change what happened or make the issue any less concerning. I called when I was able to, and I should have been able to report my experience without being treated disrespectfully. I was calmly explaining what happened, yet he repeatedly told me to "calm down," as if I were the one being aggressive or unreasonable. I was not calling to argue or cause a problem. I was simply trying to make the restaurant aware of a serious issue with my order. What made the situation even worse was the attitude I received from management. Rather than taking the complaint seriously and addressing the food-safety concern, I felt like I was being treated as though I had done something wrong by calling. I did not ask for the foreign object or the additional ingredient that was found in my food, and it should not have been there in the first place. After this experience, I will not be spending my money at this restaurant again. I am also considering contacting the local health department regarding what I found in my food because this is a concern that should be taken seriously. Customers should be able to report legitimate concerns without being met with defensiveness, aggression, or disrespect. The facts remain the same regardless of when I called: there was something in my food that should not have been there, and the way management handled my complaint was completely unacceptable.

I get curious. Then, before you know it, I'm falling in love and planning our next date! Fresh Chef made a very good first impression. The eggs were fluffy and cooked to perfection. The sourdough toast was toasted just right, with a beautifully balanced flavor that didn't overpower the rest of the plate. But those breakfast potatoes? Baby, they were the star! Crispy and golden on the outside, tender enough to melt in your mouth on the inside. I added onions and bell peppers, and next time I'll ask for extra because they belonged together. Let those onions and peppers come on out and join the party! The bacon was a good-quality cut--not thin, cheap, or pretending to be pork. As a genuine pork lover, I appreciate that. The coffee was good, too. My waiter was exceptional. I didn't catch the young man's name, but he made sure I had everything I needed while still giving me room to enjoy my breakfast. He was warm, attentive, and perfectly timed without hovering. That kind of service deserves to be recognized. Then I noticed the manager wearing a shirt from my favorite team.
