June 18, 2026. And it was yummy!

We returned with our couple pals for another delightful pre-fixe ($65/pp) 4 course bourbon pairing dinner here (see menu photo for course details).  This event is always a fun, delicious, leisurely, and very social and boozy outing.  And a great value to boot.  On this visit, the wife opted out of the bourbon pairing dinner and ordered a couple of dishes ala carte - namely pan Asian butterfish ($29.50)  and a cup of clam chowder ($6.90).  We later learned that NA patrons can opt to get just the 4 course food menu for $45, and that is a great deal in itself, and something to consider for a future special dinner outing.  The 4 courses of good sized bourbon drinks goes for just $20.  The friendly manager here, Bill, brought our dessert course out for us, and it was a pleasure to meet him.  Big thumbs up and I look forward to another of their fun and delicious pairing dinners.

It has been several years since we have been to Bonefish and not much has changed. It is still busy and offers a wide selection of seafood dishes. They have a Social Hour menu every day until 6:30 pm. We started with the crispy cauliflower. The cauliflower was breaded and tossed in a tangy glaze that was a little spicy. My husband had the Mango Bourbon Sour a Social Hour special. I had the Mediterranean Salmon . It was a grilled salmon fillet topped with a lemon butter sauce. The salmon was topped with spinach, fresh feta cheese, tomatoes, and pickled onions. It was served with rice and asparagus. It was well seasoned and fresh. My husband had the Tomato Shrimp Linguine. It was pasta with sautéed mushrooms and spinach and shrimp. The portions were good. The fresh bread to start was so good. Service was ok, but my drink did not arrive until after we received our dinner and not as attentive as expected.

Social Hour Review! My husband and I stopped in after hearing great things about the Social Hour. They offer discounted drinks and bites every day from 4:30-6:30pm. The deal is not just offered at the bar but anywhere you dine in the restaurant. I tried the Mango Bourbon Sour which had a sweeter and fruity note with the bourbon. My husband tried the Bee's Knees Martini which was well balanced in flavor while still letting the gin shine. Neither drink was too tart which I really appreciated. We shared the Crispy Cauliflower which I loved!! The sauce was perfectly tangy but cauliflower remained crisp. Our server Kayla was great with giving recommendations, making small talk, and answering any questions we had. I would certainly come back for another Social Hour or even to enjoy a full dinner!

Great place - we tropically go to these locations while on vacation when traveling but the Schaumburg location has a price fix menu that we had to try!

Having had a disappointing first experience at Bonefish, I left a review several weeks ago, but now must explain that the immediate response by Bill Benjamin to my comments was not only surprising but an uplifting moment and I wish to point out that this is a restaurant which not only cares for its customers but also cares about reputation and professionalism. I was pleasantly surprised at my receiving a call from Mr Benjamin and heartened by his assurance that he appreciated my comments, valid as they may have been and written out of concern as a former restaurant chef de cuisine myself. I not only have returned several times but now look forward to coming back to the welcome I received from Kirk (and Doreen) who remarkably remembered my name from a busy Saturday night at his bar. Thank you to all.

My husband wanted seafood for his birthday so I looked up their menu and decided on Bonefish Grill in Schaumburg . We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon . The inside is gorgeous, had a warm feeling . Bathrooms were very clean . Our waitress was Joanne and she was fantastic. The service couldn't have been better . She was sweet , had a smile on her face, and brought over cheesecake to celebrate my husband's birthday . We had the bang bang shrimp and seafood cheese dip for appetizers. Both were SO good . We were only going to get the dip but Joanne said the shrimp was one of their top sellers so we decided to get it too, good thing we did :) my husband got surf and Turf for his meal . Only thing wrong was the meat was medium , not medium rare like he had ordered and his risotto was cold in the middle so seemed like it was old and they reheated it and put it on the plate . I had the walleye special, I never had walleye before so I took a gamble and ended up loving it . It said it came with broccoli but they decided to give me corn, which I'm allergic to , thought that was odd that you add a different side instead of was was suppose to come with it but Joanne got me my broccoli and offered her apology . The goods outweigh the negatives so we would definitely go back !! Obviously you have a bot responding to reviews bc I just told you that you gave me corn that I was allergic to , over cooked meat, and cold old risotto ... says a lot more about your restaurant!

** Bar Review ** A group of 4 of us stopped here on a Saturday for a few drinks around 3pm. The place was empty which I expected as this isn't a prime time for eating lunch, dinner or grabbing drinks. As someone who is introverted yet a selective 'extrovert' this was perfect for me. By 4:30pm the place did start to get busier. We decided to grab seats at the bar and within minutes we were served with water and drink menus. Throughout our time here service was attentive and fast. I ordered 2 drinks - a dragon fruit margarita which was fruity, refreshing and delightful. Next I tried the Pomegranate martini which was also fruity and easy to drink. Apparently I was in the mood for something sweet that day, haha! I also had a few sips of the smokey old fashioned. I am NOT someone who prefers whiskey or bourbon, however, after the initial gasoline down my throat experience I actually really enjoyed this drink. The smokey-ness was truly enjoyable and gave a very relaxing after taste feeling. This is a place where I can see myself coming back to and if you're still reading this review I highly recommend checking em out :) Elite tip - Bonefish offers DAILY happy hour deals. WINNING!!!

Smoky Old Fashioned ready to go!

After eating a late lunch with family, we decided to come here to celebrate my cousin's passing her exam for work! She worked hard and it was time to raise a glass so she picked Bonefish Grill! There were 4 of us so we decided to sit at the bar. When we sat down, we were instantly greeted by the bartender. We were given menus and were asked if we wanted water while we decided on the drinks. I looked at menu even though I knew what I wanted, an Old Fashioned. When the bartender came back, I ordered it and he asked if I wanted it smoked. I said yes as I have not tried it that way in the past. When he came with our drinks, the old fashioned was presented with a smoked encased glass which I was not expecting. I let the smoke infuse and finally lifted the top glass to release the smoke. It was pretty cool experience for me. The bartender mixed the drink and I actually really liked the smoke flavor. The large square ice cube sat in the glass and slowly chilled the bourbon with the perfect amount of bitters and simple syrup. As liquor reduced with every sip, I couldn't wait to eat the Bordeaux Cherry and it was well worth the wait. Overall, it was a great time due to the drinks and service but celebrating my cousins accomplishment made it better. Congrats cuz!

I went online and order a meal for takeout. It was so easy and straightforward. I ordered early and scheduled pickup for 6:45. I received text messages at 6:23 and 6:40 with status updates. I arrived promptly at 6:45 and before I could text them to say I had arrived, a pleasant man was at my car door with my order. By the way, the cold water lobster tails, spinach and jasmine rice was delicious! And the Drunken Coconut Pie would be a bargain at twice the price.

It was so crispy, fresh, the shrimps were perfectly battered (hate when they hide the shrimp between 10 layers of batter), the lettuce was fresh and surprisingly not wilted by the time I got to my destination. I'm not one for cheese on my po boys, and almost got it without, but im actually really glad I kept the cheese on. -Sauces were all great, the Roumalade is where it's at though. The service was really just the cherry on top. Elizabeth, the owner, is the one who greeted me, and she was just a doll. She's a sauce queen, like me, so she made sure I try every single sauce! I stopped in for lunch to pickup a large order or shrimp and fries. I was greeted by Elizabeth initially. She insisted that I upgrade to the plate instead which included cole slaw and potato salad for a small extra fee so I proceeded to lock it in. Shortly after, her husband Kenny greeted me and we had a friendly talk for a while. They hooked me up with an additional side and drink (they did not have to do that) which I thought was a very kind gesture. My food came out prompt, hot and fresh. I ate a few shrimp and fries while there before hitting the road. Everything was crispy, seasoned well and appetizing. I ate the cole slaw and potato salad later at work and enjoyed each. Overall, this is a business I'd certainly return to in the near future. Cost is very competitive and on par with most places so this is a reason to further recommend them. To the owners, thank you for an excellent first impression. Hope to see you again soon!

Ok then- me, hubby, and a couple friends decided it was time to take Torizen for a test drive. On…read morea cold Saturday am, we arrived just before opening- when the guy opened the door? Well- let's just say he wasn't too warm or welcoming and could barely grunt a greeting. Hmm. We were quickly seated in a very japanese-looking restaurant (a good sign). We ordered two apps - the chicken karaage and the agedashi tofu. I ordered the spicy tonkatsu pork ramen (not on their web menu, but still...). First demerit- my ramen arrived before the apps did. Seriously. Seriously? Me with a main dish and my hubby/friends bereft of food? Oh wow. I didn't touch it until the apps arrived a couple minutes later - finally their mains arrived. Yay. The apps? Well, the chicken karaage was really fried chicken breast meat (no bones; not a prob for me, but hubby - a japanese man by birth- was not impressed). The agedashi tofu was yummy and quite good. Nice! Ok- my ramen was - yes- spicy and oily, as any good ramen should be. The bad part? I could tell the bean sprouts weren't fresh as my sensitive digestive tract let me know - fast- that the sprouts were "not" fresh. Yikes. Not a good thing - hence the demerit. Ok- first- we may come again. But gosh. the workers really need to be a bit happier to be there- or - if they can't be pleasant - keep them out of the public's eye. That would be a big help- after all, this was our first visit- and it wasn't too welcoming - it would have offset the bad sprouts, you know?
