This is review is for the service, not the food. We have been going to this restaurant for quite a few years and always been satisfied with both service and food. It's our regular go to place when we want to be sure that we will be satisfied. Not this past time, however. We went on a Sunday at 5:30, pretty busy time, but, I had called for reservations the day before, so I was confident that we would be seated fairly quickly. When we arrived, the hostess (unfortunately, I didn't get her name!) said that we didn't have reservations, even though I insisted that I called and reserved seats. Instead of offering the next table available or comping us with dessert, she said, "you have a 25 minute wait. You are not on the schedule." Just like that! Someone needs to train this little missy about the "hospitality" business!! I will be making a phone call to the manager, but, if you call to make reservations, be sure to ask for the name of the person who you speak with! Very disappointing visit this time!! We will be back, but, you can bet that this won't happen again. BTW, we are 70, 80, and 90 years old!! Talk about being disrespected! read more

Very consistent with the others in the chain. The lobster roll was good, however it was bland. I enjoy a little spice or salt with mine. My son had the Shrimp which were delicious. This one has some nice patio seating by a fountain which was nice. We had a child with us who wasn't confined to tight quarters in the restaurant. The waitress was great, however, she wasn't seen much when I wanted my drink filled. She was very friendly and let us know the specials. I will go back for the Lobster Roll and ask for some of the Bang Bang Shrimp sauce with it. read more

So disappointed in brunch. Husband ordered omelet cooked soft with crab and with grits on the side and ww toast. Smallest omelet I've ever seen cooked hard and dry. Tasteless crab. Grits hard dry round ball. No butter or jelly for toast. I ordered lobster and tenderloin eggs Benedict with a side of potatoes. Arrived tepid. Tenderloin ok but not enough h sauce to offset hard dry English muffin. Lobster not great. Asked for extra h sauce but finished eating before it was delivered. Chose Bonefish fir my 70's birthday celebration because up to last night we have all enjoyed it. We were offered a private room in the back which we took although it delayed our sitting by 1/2 hour. I had made reservations for 7:30 3 weeks before and confirmed the # of guests and time the night before. There were 14 of us. The waiter ( who never shared his name) had an attitude from the get go. Although we all had cocktails that we brought from the bar it was hard to get a second one unless we caught a server cutting through our room. We all ordered appetizers(finally) however no one came back to check if everything was ok or yo clear the empty plates, I cleared them for my guests. We all were finally able to order dinner. We sat there with no dinner and no drinks, a friend went outside the room to see why no one was waiting on us and was told that they were "staggering" our drinks. No one at our table was even close to being inebriated. We asked for the manager to find out why and he said that after 3 drinks the manager has the right to stagger the drinks if necessary after checking on the party. He never did this, he also told us that he told the kitchen to "hold" our food, although it was being prepared. (I'd give the name of the manager but he failed to introduce himself also). He had no good explanation as to why we were being treated this way. At this point, my one girlfriend cancelled her order, another couple followed, and then the rest of us did also. I informed the so called manager that he could eat our food and pay our tab. Some chose to leave some money on the table and we all walked out. Will never go back to that Bonefish (Vero Beach). I will also be writing corporate. What the manager did not know until I told him is that among us was a restaurant owner, bartenders, and waitresses, we know how a guest should be treated. read more

My first time at a Bonefish Grill and I was not disappointed! I heard great things about BG in NJ and PA. Our waitress Logan was so sweet and attentive. We were there early, 5:00, but the place began filling up quickly. By the time we left all tables were filled. I had a salad, grilled shrimp and scallops with asparagus. My mother had fish and chips, even though she was planning to have steak. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. My mother used to get fish and chips in Kearny, NJ at The Argyle and The Thistle. She said this was as good! High praise! I am gluten free and when I booked through Open Table I mentioned this. I didn't even ask for the gf menu and it was placed on the table by the hostess. I'm impressed! I read other reviews that complained about service. I've been to Bonefish all over the country and the Vero location just can't get it together. The food is fine but the service is horrible. A while back I came in with a birthday party of 10 people. They gave us 2 servers which was awkward and they still couldn't get our orders right. Plus I had to ask 3 times to bring a Birthday dessert. Everything that could have gone wrong, did. I really like this restaurants menu, it has a lot of adventurous flavors and a plethora of choices to choose from. The ambiance is a little hip, with louder music and a bar setting inside as well as a finer dining section as well. They have great Tuesday Specials too! read more

Food was typically good for a Bonefish. The reason for the 3 stars is the music. It was a baby boomer crowd and yet they're loudly playing teenage nightclub music. Several of us from different tables were actually commenting about it to each other. When we complained they said they're always getting complaints but that the music is a corporate edict. They did lower the volume...twice. Is #BonefishGrill that out of touch with their normal clientele? If we hadn't already ordered we'd have walked out. The appetizers came out on time and were good. Then we waited and waited for our entrées. When 4 of the 6 came, one was alright. One was cold and two of the others were not cooked properly. The other two entrées came out 15 minutes later. One was alright but the pasta was burned. My daughter could not eat one bite. They did offer to take three of the entrées off of the bill as 2 were completely not edible. Our server who was completely frazzled and just not attentive offered free dessert. We always have good food and good service. We enjoy the brunch and the bottomless mimosas. We go every other sunday, but this sunday was a bit different. The server Logan, was thoughtful and attentive. She added that extra level of service we look for. This was our first time at Bonefish and definitely not our last. The wait was 45 minutes but we got right in with seats on the patio. I had the lemon butter and rainbow trout which was a whole piece of fish / double filets. The fish was so good! Husband had the fish and chips which was a ginormous portion of both. I tried some of both and it was really good as well. We got sliced bread and olive oil while reading the menu so no need for appetizers though I hear their bang bang shrimp is pretty awesome. We had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner at Bonefish Grill. Our server was Galen and he all you could ask for in a waiter! He was courteous, professional and had a delightful, fun personality. A big plus for the restaurant! My husband had the ahi and said that it was very good. I had the the shrimp and mani special the shrimp was great and the mahi was a bit dry (but it will be super in a fish taco today!). I got cheesecake to go and it was terrific and super generous! I been to Bonefish in Vero Beach quite a few times. Normally I give it a 5 star rating, but last night I was very disappointed about the service. We sat down at a table group of 8,we received the bread but it took us about 10 minuets to get the place settings. Also during dinner I ordered a pinot grigio for my wife. When I received my bill I noticed a charge for $12.70. I wasn't sure what it was for. I asked the waitress , she said my wife pinot was Santa margarita pinot and that's what it cost. I just ordered a plain Ole pinot and they gave me top shelf. After I paid my bill and was ready to leave, I stopped by the bar and asked the barmaid what types of pinot they had. She said that the house pinot cost $6.50 but they were out of it so instead of coming back to my table to see if I wanted to spend the extra money, they just took upon themselves to substitute the more expensive wine. I thought it was very unprofessional on their part. It could be that they have uninformed help. I not very happy with Bonefish. I had such good experiences at Bonefish in the past and if this was my first time there instead of 3 stars they would have only gotten a 1 star rating. read more

We just ordered one of the special family takeouts that Bonefish is offering thru the crisis. It was a GREAT meal! We got the Lilly chicken-eight small breasts-Mac n cheese (fabulous), house salad (nice mix with yummy dressing), bread with oil dipping mix and cranberry whites chocolate cookies (YUM YUM YUM). Friday date night - Bone Fish in VB. We knew you were no Legal Seafood or Atlantic Seafood, but seriously ... WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! I have tried so hard to like this place, but the bartender is awful, yet oh so lax and comfortable - no protocol whatsoever ever. The Manager hates to understand the customer, so he avoids interaction with the customer at all costs and would not EVEN speak with us. For the hard working staff waiting tables inside and the at the outside patio, I'm so sorry. You are being taken advantage of by the the losers there. Bye bye. Someone gave me a $50.00 gift card to Bonefish Grill. Took my mother there the other day. I wasn't in the mood for fish, as I eat fish about twice a week at home, and so I ordered a hamburger. My mother ordered a fish dinner with mashed potatoes and string beans. I would give my meal a C but my mother's dinner was just horrible. It was as if someone heated up a frozen dinner and served it to her. The mashed potatoes seemed to be powered potatoes and the beans frozen at best. The fish as small in portion and that was probably OK since it was terrible! Bonefish Grill seems to be trying to imitate a fine dining experience but is failing miserably! read more

I know this is a "chain" but Bonefish is really upscale. The menu is excellent and the food is always fresh and presented with an eye appealing presentation. We have eaten at this restaurant in several different states and they have all been comparably the same! The Vero Beach location has a marvelous bar with a large wine selection and top shelf liquors, the fish was very fresh and delicious, the wait staff was very pleasant and professionally dressed making our dining experience memorable. A group of 4 of us sat in the bar area this past Friday night. It was not super busy so we did not have to wait. We ordered drinks, and 2 appetizers that were fine. One couple ordererd the crab claws (one of the more expensive items) and once delivered to the table, had an immediate fish smell as if they were old, bad, stinky. The server took them back and contacted a manager. After a long period of time, he appeared and offered us a coupon for free shrimp on another visit. There was no offer to amend the bill, give a dessert or offer another selection that we feel safe eating as far as seafood. I had ordered the mussles which appreared fine and were cooked, tasted fine and arrived before the crab claws. 3 hours later, not so much. I was sick and those were for sure the cause of food poisoning. Even with the free shrimp offer, I can honestly say, we will never go back. read more
