I know a fresh meatball when I taste one and this one was super fresh. Surrounded by a tasty garlic knot that wasn't too greasy or too dry. When it comes to Italian, I'm easy and will do chicken Parmesan. They offer a whole wheat pasta sub, which I did and the total dish didn't disappoint! So so good! I had this for catering at a friends house, and the dishes were amazing. The price point was incredibly reasonable, and I plan to use this for the next party We have as well! Second to none. I never go out for Italian but it's never better than at home.. when you go to Boniellos - it is home cooked. This review is based on two visits roughly a month apart. I don't know if I'll ever be back in the area... but I would travel to enjoy this outstanding restaurant again. Four of us dined and everyone raved about their dish... even raved about the salad. I had the 'Bon Explosion' salad with house dressing and never enjoyed a salad more. I would give this place zero stars if I could and solely based on their staff. Came in today and asked for a table for two at 4:20 and were told they could give us one but we had to leave by six - not much of an issue, but when they went to seat us, they put us next to another two person table that was practically one inch from where they wanted us to sit. It literally would be like we were having dinner with these two strangers!! The entire back room was completely empty so we asked if we could move because the table was so close to them. They said no - very abruptly ! even though they were tons of empty tables so we left. They were so unprofessional and rude. I have been to Boniello's plenty of times over the past few years and somehow every time I go, it gets better and better. My go-to entree is their famous seafood salad and I highly reccomend adding Buffalo knots to any order. My husband had no idea until tonight they are supposed to be creamy, not dry overcooked softballs that most pizza places pass off. Slicing it open I was hit with the smell of quality cheese and ooey gooey deliciousness. Marinara that it was served with was excellent. What I got was a dish of red oil that didn't have any creamy texture or much flavor. The chicken itself was tender and since I enjoyed everything else, this was a forgivable mistake. Absolutely Disappointed! We were long time customers, and we had had an issue with a meal coming to our car warm at best a few months ago, an issue that can happen anywhere, BUT when I called to discuss the matter I was totally dismissed, and the owner defended his daughter, to high heaven, when they had clearly forgotten about our order. A simple, "I'm sorry we were busy and forgot to bring your order out" would have totally satisfied me. Fast forward a few months to simmer down, and my wife decided to call back and place a simple order for some soup. She put the order in, the young man who answered the phone told her that it would be about 10 minutes and to waif in the parking lot. He even asked if she would like to leave a tip for the person who would be bringing the soup to her car, which she obliged. She waited for 20 minutes after telling her she had arrived, and nobody brought her order to the car. She went inside to see what was going on, and the said they forgot to tell her she needed to come in for her order. When she told them they told her someone would be bringing the food to her car and even requested a tip for the car delivery, they had no answer, though they did offer to refund her her tip. She took the soup home and it was warm as opposed to the typical scorching hot as in the past, forgot the order again??? I called the restaurant and asked for a manager, I was given the owner's daughter, who knew me well form our past visits, and I started to discuss the issue with her, she said the reason the soup wasn't brought out was because it wasn't ready yet. Well, I think the staff needs to get their stories straight, was it forgotten as the boys said, or was it not ready yet as the daughter said? I lean to forgotten, because it was it wasn't hot. When I told her that this was the last straw and that we were finished with coming to the restaurant, she replied, "that's what you said last time", that's how you treat a customer who is returning after a time away because of a previous dispute? That wreaks of arrogance to me, the food is good, but not that good. In this area where excellent Italian food can be found at every turn, I see no reason to return to Boniello's. Their food is very good, but their customer service is the worst. I hope their arrogant attitude carries them far, but I doubt it will, with all the other very good pizza restaurants in our area, the folks who are fed up with their ways will easily find a new place to dine. read more

Everything here is delicious! Although they did bring chicken valdostana to the table despite me ordering veal, they did make good on it and brought the correct dish after. While I was waiting for the second dish, I was able to pick at my wife's pasta which was such a large portion that even after we both spent 15 minutes eating it, there was some leftover to take home! I would recommend making a reservation, as the first time we went we made a reservation, but the dining room was mostly empty. I felt kind of silly, and I read on their website that they withhold a portion of tables for walk-ins, so the next time I went we just walked in, but were promptly told that all the tables were reserved. We added ourselves to the wait list which showed 15mins online, then updated to 30, but after waiting 45mins in our car with in the parking lot with no updates, we moved on to another restaurant... which had us feeling even more silly. So yeah, remember that this definitely is a reservations-only place. read more

First off the, $12 a person is so nice as you don't have to try to figure out how many trays (full vs half) etc. Came with bread which was crazy fresh and delicious. We picked 4 entrees (eggplant parmigiana, unstuffed chicken, penne vodka, and sausage and broccoli rabe). I would not change a thing they were all THE BOMB. There was a perfect amount of food that came in sterno trays. The Penne Vodka was really good and was dressed up with olives and some meat to make it better than your standard penne vodka (it was not dried out although I might ask for extra vodka sauce to add right before serving). The other three dishes were awesome, see the pictures for proof. For 2 extra dollars we upgraded the salad to beet salad and it was worth it. They put lots of goat cheese, candied nuts, and of course beets. I will only use them for events going forward as it was so easy, so so cheap, and so so so good. read more

Walked in on a Friday night, noticed it wasn't that big and it was packed. Even their take out looked super busy, but they told us 15 mins for four of us and they stuck to it. Very impressed!! The bruschetta and clams in garlic sauce appetizer were amazing. The garlic sauce was great and full of flavor. I wanted to soak it all with bread but the bread never made it to the table. I mean I could of asked for it, but wifey didn't want and we did order the bruschetta. You know most people are gonna want the bread. It should of been served first thing with some butter or olive oil on the side(I think). BYOB service available, always great. The dinners were amazing!! My kids had the meatballs with a side of pasta. The meatballs were big, full of flavor, with great texture. The marinara sauce on the pasta and meatballs, had a nice sweet taste(that I like). My wife had a trio of fish with shrimp served with rice and vegetables. She replaced the rice with extra vegetables and was happy with the variety of veggies. She said her salmon was great followed by the flounder. The tuna was just a little over cooked for her and a bit bland. I had the grilled flounder over spinach and pasta in a white wine sauce. Delicious!! Very fresh flounder with just enough seasoning, sitting on some tasty spinach, over al dente penne with a good white wine sauce. Nothing to complain there, could eat that once a week. For dessert my wife and daughter share a good chocolate mousse. My son had a carrot cupcake that tasted good but a little dry and seemed to have been refrigerated. I had a good tiramisu and we both had a double espresso. Espressos were great with that lit piece of lemon peel(which is a must for me). Definitely going to this place again!! I tried Boniello's tonight and it was my third visit to the restaurant in the past month . Tonight I tried the Garlic Knots Vodka Slider appetizer for $9. They were very good though I was horrified to find sliced black olives in the vodka sauce. Yes, I am an olive hater, but am okay with olive oil. The sliders were priced right at $9. I have found their pizza to be good, but for sure not the best in town and in the surrounding two towns . Danny's is still #1 for pizza. Anthony Franco's would be #2. Boniello's pizza crust needs to be "tweaked". Some of Boniello's pastas are home made . They certainly would get an "A" for effort with their menu selection and decor in restaurant . Restaurant is on the small side and typical size of the average pizza restaurant. They try to give it the vibe of a small trattoria from Italy . Entree prices are a tad on the high side for the non-pasta dishes and chicken dishes . I had tried the Chicken Saltimbocca on my previous visit and it was drowned in sauce, on my first impression . I also did incur a very small piece of bone in the chicken . But , hey , it happens . My overall rating would be 3.75 stars , which is still good. read more

One of my favorite spots. I could choose coming here for sit down dinner 1-2x a week if I could. The dishes are very large, well worth the prices. And they aren't crazy either. Very fair on the prices for what you get. Always well staffed with servers. Love that they expanded after Covid. I've brought parties of 2 to 15 people here. Same service. I've only had 1 meal that I had to question and turn away and 1 issue since coming here, I questioned if I was eating veal or chicken once. Cause the chicken I had ordered was over cooked/fried and cause it was thin it didn't taste right.. the server returned with my meal only to say the chef said it was chicken! I've never had that happen to me. I was not expecting the server to return my original order after saying it didn't taste right. I was not happy & had them take my dish away and I did not finish eating. They did not make me pay for that dish. But I understand things happen & I do and have returned several times.. very good food. Give them a follow on Instagram also. read more
