Cool little sandwich/wine tasting deli. Ordered a hot pesto chicken sandwich, was ok. Will come back again.

I love their Pulled Pork that they have every now and then. Every day should be Pulled Pork Sandwich Day! Clean store and friendly staff. Prices are about average to other places. One of my favorite places to stop at while driving through. read more

We found this little gem when heading back to the city from Sonoma. Fantastic, fresh made sandwiches. Not a lot of seating but I love that you can grab a glass of wine at the back of the deli. If you need something quick and fresh, this place beats subway any day! read more

This place definitely knows how to make a damn good sammich! My bf and I go to the strip of wineries and always stop by this place to pick up a couple of sandwiches (we get the Reuben on a dutch crunch roll, the sauerkraut is delicious!) Good little place to stop and grab a quick, tasty sandwich. Decent variety of sandwiches and meats. Lots of drink and snack options. Location is good, parking in back. Didn't see any place to eat inside so we ate in our car. There were a couple flies buzzing around inside which is kind of unsightly and I hope they eventually find a way of keeping the flies out. The woman helping us could have been nicer, seemed too short and abrasive and I always believe customer service positions call for a friendlier, more patient personality. If in need of a quick bite to eat I would possibly visit this place again. read more

Absolutely terrible. I ordered a simple sandwich - chicken salad with bacon. I arrive to my destination only to find that my sandwich has no bacon - which I was charged $2 for! The chicken salad portion was so tiny, you could barely find it between the lettuce and tomato. The chicken was also pretty much chopped up deli meat with mayo - if you're going to charge $12 for a sandwich you should be roasting your own chicken and making it fresh. I really love this place! It's a great stop on your way into Napa if you're planning on picnicking with sandos. It's also a little cheaper and a lot faster than the infamous Oakville Grocery. They have quick and friendly service, a wide variety of choices, and they even give you little hershey's kisses with your sandwiches! Definitely a must-stop in Carneros. read more

I absolutely love this place! I'm a chauffeur out of San Jose and I actually have them on speed dial. I seriously think its the best sandwich I've ever had. Best sandwiches you will find around. They have a huge selection of meats, cheeses and daily specials. Bread is always fresh and sandwiches are ALWAYS consistently well-made. They also have a huge variety of chips--all flavor of Kettle chips--and deviled eggs, Mac & pot salad. Staff is friendly & accommodating for my hubby's picky food preferences. We drive from Napa just for this deli, usually heading to SF but sometimes just for a picnic. Try this deli, you won't be disappointed! read more

Probably the best deli sandwich I have ever had. It wasn't anything fancy, salami and cheese...but everything was fresh and perfect. I'm a local so I don't do a lot of wine tasting (unless I'm entertaining), but they have a tasting bar as well as large selection of cheeses. This is my first time at the deli, we read all of the yelp postings and decided to give this a try and the deli did not disappoint me. I had the Reuben and my wife had the roast beef sandwich and they were both excellent. I work just down the road from Carneros Deli, and my colleagues and I get lunch here at least once a week. Their prices are super reasonable - I ALWAYS get the veggie sandwich or a veggie salad and it is always beautiful. They have a great variety of options for drinks and little snacks, and the service is very friendly. I recommend calling in advance, especially if you are ordering multiple sandwiches. P.S. They have recently added a nice outdoor space to sit and eat if you'd like. read more

Great little deli without having to deal with the traffic of downtown Sonoma. At the corner of 121 and 116 it's perfect for the commuter or if you're just passing through. I had the Italian Sub, for just $1 more than Subway its a great deal and an awesome sandwich. The macaroni salad was also very good. They have Chicago Dogs, Polish Dogs and several sandwiches to choose from. I'll be back for sure. Outdoor seating available on a covered patio. read more

The sandwiches are awesome! By far the best value for your dollar in the valley. My favorite is the pastrami on dutch crunch. Plus, these guys don't charge you extra for cheese, pepperoncini's, olives, where most places do. This is a perfect sandwich to take to lunch if you commute to work. Check your order before you leave the deli. Mine was way off and unfortunately I was way down the road before I discovered the error. The tag on my sandwich was correct but what was inside was not. The sandwiches are expensive for what you get. And for what you didn't order. read more

I was visiting Sonoma, California this past Tuesday, January 20, 2009 with a friend celebrating her birthday when we came across this deli. Little did we know what a wonderful treasure we would come across. When you first open the front door the great deli experience begins. The great scents of fine deli meats, breads, oils, toppings, etc. take over the senses. The wonderful staff greets you with a smile and are very helpful by answering your questions and making suggestions if requested. I knew as soon as I had walked in this was a local gem and the food was worth the experience. Boy, was I right.....my friend and I enjoyed our food and the visit. I had ordered the Pastrami on Sweet Soft Roll with: Swiss Cheese, Xt Mayo, Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Lt. Olives, Pepper and Vinegar/Oil. This sandwich was sheer heaven and was worth the trip. After that day we had returned from Burlingame to order again before heading back to Southern California. It would be fantastic if one could order their deli items for overnight delivery for many more to experience. Of course, I will make another visit in the future when I return to San Francisco or better yet another great trip to the wine country! read more
