My partner and I just visited and were blown away by the service. We've purchased the brand Bonobos before at a department store, but hadn't had the chance to stop by a store and try different fits. Chiké greeted us warmly when we arrived and helped us for over an hour. He usually is at the Dallas Knox Henderson store, and next time we're near there we will stop in because he helped us immensely. There are so many types of fabrics, fits, and colors that it can be overwhelming but Chiké helped my partner with finding the best cut of shirts and pants for her body type. He even helped us put an outfit together with our description of what she already has at home. We were there for a while trying all the things and he would was there every step, chatting with me while I waited and fitting her outfits. And not like "ok I'll grab another size" - but like knew by looking at whatever she had on what to adjust. "Ok so we're gonna need xx" X xx" in short, classic cut... be right back." When we walked in he guessed her pant size exactly so we had a starting point to try different cuts. He got everything ordered and had it express shipped so she would have it in time for her event. I could go on and on because it truly was a great and rare experience. We like the quality of the clothes but will now to return to the brick and mortar for the helpful experience. First off, Nathan was the most helpful and fun to talk to associate I have run into in years in any shop. He suggested colirs, fits and styles I would have been lost trying to find--EXACTLY what I was looking for. And then on top of it, just a great human to chat with. Second... these are really really nice clothes. I've recently dropped a lot of weight and wanted to reward myself with something new, and I came away with pants and a shirt that are so silky it's like wearing butter. BUYER BEWARE. STAY AWAY ALTOGETHER. Hello Bonobos, I'm VERY disappointed in my experience with your company. I'm still waiting for satisfactory results from Theo Kinnaird and his team at the Bonobos store on 2nd Street in Austin. I ordered four suits on April 22, and I received two suits and two jackets. I kept calling the Austin location to make them aware of this and to replace the order which they said they did, but apparently every time the order hit the warehouse and they didn't have the size, the warehouse would cancel the order, according to Theo. After at least two phone calls to the store to replace each order for both pants, I finally received the two pants, but one wasn't the right cut and is very tight on my brother. I've made several calls to get the 40 athletic gray Jetsettter pants, but they still haven't been able to come up with any. The young lady that answered the phone on one occasion said she would get the order in and it would be comped because of all my trouble. To date, I've still been overcharged by one pair of pants and I wasn't comped. So, overcharged by two pairs of pants now and I still don't have the pants I ordered. I'm getting married and going on a honeymoon and don't want to have to be thinking about how I get a fair shake in this transaction even though it's got me pretty ticked off. I would appreciate it if this problem got resolved. read more

Randomly and fortunately wandered into this place. The hub has been looking for pants but hard to find stuff that doesn't look dowdy but also doesn't look like sausage casings in his thighs and calves. Apparently the store is just like an in life catalog and so you don't walk out of here with clothes. You try them on for fit and they order them for you. Delivery is free even to Hawaii! First time you shop with them 20% off which is totally worth it. Service is great there, helpful without being overbearing. Julia helped us out with sizes and we ordered 5 pairs of pants. She was great. I wanted him to get a jacket too bc the fit was so nice but the hub didn't want. The prices here are not cheap but better to get something that fits well and decent quality. I think he got 3 chinos and 2 wool cotton blend dress pants for 500 something after the 20% discount. They will deliver to us and hopefully will get there by the time we get home. Despite advising the 3 salesmen repeatedly what i wanted, mistakes were made on my order. The experience overall verged on the absurd and reminded me of a Monty Python episode or Fawlty Towers.i can almost laugh about it now. This store has nothing that you can buy on the spot. Everything has to be ordered via catalog. The sales staff were not able to correctly enter into their system the sizes of the items i wanted and were not able to apply the first time buyer discount to all 3 items i ordered. They initially got the order wrong (i caught the 1st mistake in the store) and they ended up processing it as 2 orders when it should have been 1. they could not figure out how to correct the mistake. They won't give you a paper receipt so i had to ask to look at their phone sized tablet to see how much they were charging me. I was checking the price and noticing that no discount was being given. When i left the store, i had to rely on a verbal promise that the discount would be applied. I get home and checked the order status and had to call the store to ask for the discount for the 4th or 5th time. They had shirts on display that i wanted to buy but i was told that they were from last year and no longer available to purchase via the catalog or in the store. WTF? What is the point of putting the shirts on display if they are not in stock and never will be again? A lot of the items on display were available in only small sizes. Most items did not have a price tag which was very tiresome to keep asking for pricing. Just order online and you will at least be secure in knowing that what you asked for and paid for is what you will be getting. I wasted a lot of time trying to get the order correct and then they send me the exact item i did not want. I will stick to Nordstrom which has superior service. read more

Pants...pants, pants!!! Mr. Smidgens here!! I am writing this review with no pants. I have been wearing Bonobos pants for the past 8 years now. They hug Mr. Smidgens's thighs just right!! Well mostly. .. This is where my story begins. I love their pants and since Mr. Smidgens has thighs and a butt that are like Mt. Rushmore... thick and hard!! I sometimes have trouble finding pants that fit well. My last pair of Bonobos pants that came in did not fit like the others. What the junk crushing clothing?!!! I called the ninjas at Bonobos and the lovely Maggie Adams was so helpful. She suggested I go to my local guide shop and see how the different pants fit. Mind you, this was the second pair of washed chinos in the Jet Blue flavor that I had ordered to replace a pair that was tight around my boys and my thighs!! Well I made my appointment online at my local shop the same day and strolled on in to a bunch of happy camper employees in the 2nd St District here in Austin, Tx. My Guide for the day would be Andrew. We shook hands and he offered me a beer. I kindly accepted and we started our journey of finding Mr. Smidgens some clothing for his lower half!! We chatted, I gave workout advice, I had another beer, and when all was said and done it turns out they are looking into the fit issue and I ordered some fine fitting pantalones! Apparently manufacturing has changed and something is clearly different!!!!! The fact that Bonobos cares about their customers that they are willing to fix the issue says a lot about them not only as a company, but as human beings. As if I didn't love this company enough, my experience in the Guideshop was awesome. Sam quickly returned a chino blazer I wasn't using for store credit, and while I waited we struck up conversation and found out that each of us had served in the military. He was already hooking me up with some sweet discounts prior to that, but after discovering I was veteran he let me on to their Band of Brothers program that gives discounts to veterans. Sound like this is a long process? It wasn't. Even if it was, they've got beer. That's right, beer while you wait for sweet ass hook ups. First of all, I used to love Bonobos. I've been a happy customer for a few years now... Really fun, fashionable clothing, and excellent service. Sadly, I won't be a customer any more. Why? Product quality. Or rather, a lack thereof. I have several products which I've owned for a few years, identical products in different colors... Some have held up very well, some have fallen apart. For this price point, I expect to be able to wear something for more than a year. Sorry, Bonobos... I love your designs, but I can't really justify being a customer any more if your stuff is going to be this flimsy. :( The floor staff was helpful and apologetic when I mentioned the issue, they said it was a 'product defect', but couldnt offer a solution. :( read more

Came in here today with my boyfriend to do some shopping. What I didn't realize is they don't sell clothes here! Well they do but it's not a typical store where you can buy something & wear it later that day. Rather they fit you at the store then they order your items for you. My boyfriend is super picky and Sam was helpful and friendly. We got a couple beers & started trying on. Since it was our first time shopping here we received 25% off! Plus they expedited the shipping at no cost since my bf has a business trip later this week. Excellent customer service and a nice range of quality clothing in a welcoming atmosphere. I had a great experience with this shop. A relaxed environment, great looking clothes, patient and knowledgeable staff - I'll definitely be coming back in the future. Be aware that this isn't a standard shopping experience - more like live web-browsing. They have samples of all their lines in the store, you work with the staff to get the right fit, then they work with you to put together an online order. They then ship out your size and order from the warehouse, and in the case of suits and pants, you still need to get it tailored (leg bottoms and final fit). But it's a great place for in-style, grown-up men's wear that stays away from the Joseph A. Bank pushiness or the Men's Wearhouse uniformity. read more

First of all, Bonobos has quality pants and shirts. I'm an odd size because of my height and they're perfect for me! I came in for a scheduled and Audrey helped me out. Not only did she help me out, she went above and beyond to get me what I needed, and there are no words to describe how grateful I am! She gave me good advice and we went through everything that I wanted to try on, from different kinds of pants to different shirts. She was awesome!! Walked in on a rainy Saturday to try on tuxedos. We were greeted and assisted by Austin, who was extremely pleasant to deal with. He also had amazing hair, which I think was truly the capstone to a great experience. Not only does Bonobos have the best fitting pants for my body type, but the customer service I have experienced is second to none. What really stood out about my trip to the Austin guide shop is how helpful Andrew was. I do not have a guide shop where I live so I planned on making some returns and getting my fit locked in while in Austin for a bachelor party. I was a little nervous it wouldn't work out when our afternoon plans ran late and I was only able to get the shop 15 minutes before close on a Saturday night. While others may have been annoyed by my late arrival, Andrew was welcoming and made sure he attended to any questions I had and helped me complete a smooth exchange even though it took a couple minutes past closing time.
