We had a wonderful experience at Bonsai! It was our first time dinning and we were greeted by the hostess promptly, and Bailee was our waitress for the evening. They had a handwritten card on the table for our honeymoon, and congratulated us verbally as well. The food and drinks were incredibly fresh and well worth the price! My personnel favorite from the evening was the Nijiiro Maki.

Made reservations through Open Table for a Wednesday at 6:30pm for 2. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of Hilton Beach property. The restaurant has only 10 tables inside which made a very intimate setting. Our server Bailee was amazing. We had Wagyu & Pork Belly for appetizers. Our main entrees was Smoke Salmon & Lobster Ramen. Unfortunately the Lobster Ramen had no flavor. Restaurant is a little pricey but overall I would recommend.

Treat yourself! This place is a hidden gem tucked away in the Hilton hotel. It's tiny and romantic and super expensive, but the flavors are out of this world. Our order: Japanese A5 Wagyu roll: Hands down the clear winner of the evening. The tender, rich flavor of the wagyu was more than I imagined it could be. Florida Citrus roll: Not overly citrusy, but with a hint of lemon that complimented the snapper perfectly. Smoked Tuna roll: Fantastic presentation. Comes out under a glass dome filled with hickory smoked which permeated the tuna providing a rich, smoky flavor. Faroe Island Salmon Brule roll: A simple and understated smoked salmon flavor. Was very easy on the palate and left me wanting more. Lots of parking to include two Class 2 Tesla chargers. They don't offer a military discount, which would've been nice given the incredibly expensive price tag on each of these sushi rolls. That said, this is a wonderful spot for a romantic getaway. Highly recommend.

This place was PHENOMENAL. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Pensacola. We had a wonderful four-course Omakase meal. I also really loved the matcha drink, had to ask the server for the brand of matcha they used. She was very sweet and was very knowledgeable of the menu. Will definitely be back to Pensacola just to visit this restaurant!

It was good. Crab ravioli was my favorite. My boyfriend's favorite was the Florida citrus. We also got the smoked tuna and the rising sun. Presentation was AMAZING. Drinks were yummy. No lie the crème brûlée was the best I've ever had. The only thing we did not like was that it was freezing. So we were ready to get out of the place from the moment we sat down. Definitely bring a jacket. Other than that it was great.

Came to Bonsai to celebrate my 25th birthday. It did not disappoint! The food and service was amazing! Rob is a great server and will inform you of the ins and outs of their dishes. If you're a first timer when it comes to Sake like I was I would recommend the "Perfect Snow"! I would recommend the A5 Wagyu for the starter and the Hickory Smoked Tuna & Florida Citrus did not disappoint!

Very limited boba menu was a result of this. The milk tea equivalent was a tea latte, which was just tea and milk. I don't really like just tea and milk, I prefer milk tea creamer. I ended up going with the Thai tea with boba, hoping it would be better. We also ordered a side order of noodles. The noodles were good, 4.5 rating for them, but I only review boba. The Thai tea that I ordered was 50% sweet, and I wish I had gotten 75%, as it wasn't quite sweet enough. My bad on that one. The bobas were not tapioca pearls, they were a from of crystal bobas or agar bobas. Misleading in that regard. I couldn't finish the drink, it wasn't good enough. The food seems fine, so don't take this low review as criticism for that. Edit: this review is for the food truck of the same name.

They have an extensive menu and we only tried one app, 2 main and 2 desserts so based on just that we give an average 3 stars for everything. Additionally, the live music on the covered patio was a great touch. Loved how the vibes here were more than just another touristy seafood spot on the beach. Now for the food- everything was absolutely incredible. They print their menus daily to ensure it's up to date with their fresh catches. We started with the crab claws and BBQ oysters, which were both so flavorful and perfect appetizer. The garlic butter from the crab claws was so good I could have drank it straight from the dish. For mains: The special they had when we went last Friday was tilefish with grits, brussel sprouts, and fried shrimp and it was a must (2/6 at our table got this). Another big hit was the grouper piccata- this is another must get, and what the local in our party gets everytime she comes. The whipped potatoes are just delicious. Other dishes we got were the filet mignon and honey wasabi yellowfin tuna. You truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu! In the words of our server.. "chef could prepare a shoe and I'd eat it!" To finish the night, we had the key lime pie & the signature praline basket (with a brownie). Both desserts were, you guessed it, amazing. The key lime pie enthusiast at our table said it was the best he's ever had. The Grand Marlin will be seeing me again next time I'm in town!!
