I had the curry with chicken and thought it was really good! we came during a cold, cloudy day and it was perfect for this weather. the service was fast and the waiters were very attentive.

Overall A: comfortable, decorated, friendly, timely, tasty & fresh chicken pho and shrimp peanut salad that rivals our favorite SF Thai spot, Yummy Yummy. Recommend, and we shall return.

First time here and probably won't be our last! It wasn't packed when we went. They had small indoor seating and outdoor seating available. Service was amazing.. our server literally took down 2 apps and 4 entree orders by memory and I was impressed as the dishes came on within a reasonable time. I was surprised how fresh the dishes were. Flavorful and not bland. Chicken pho (forgot to picture) was tasty with good amount of noodles and chicken. Comes with cilantro, jalapeños, & bean sprouts. Green curry banh mi was delicious with extra stuffings on the side. My FAVORITE is the tiger prawn rolls & the mighty mint salad! It taste so FRESHHH and flavor was on point. I totally didn't want to share. It was definitely way more yummy than the chili lime wild salmon salad (which isn't bad either) Kids bento box come with cookie, veggies, choice of chicken, mandarin oranges, & choice of noodles or rice! Our server was tentative and provide good recommendations. She was awesome! Highly recommend trying this place!

Easy spot to go for a quick walk dinner. Pretty reasonably priced and servers were quick and friendly. Food was quite Americanized version of Thai food, but was solid enough! Nice light by the window, and indoor regular and bar seating available as well as some outdoor seats.

    One spring roll

I always try to find something positive about a review so here we go - my wife liked her dish. After that...the rest of this review will be brutally honest. The kids bento box is absolutely boring, the tiger prawn spring rolls is just that - one spring roll???? My dish made it to the table 25 minutes after everyone else's dish. The wait staff was there but we had to waive them down to accomplish the following- refills of water, presentation of the final check, following up on my pho that was very delayed and finally someone to take our initial order. If we ate there on an "off" night we practically checked off all the "what could go wrong" boxes. On a positive note- their ambiance was nice. If anyone else has a different experience please let me know. Cheers - Chef John

There are so many great places to eat in Mill Valley that I expected more from Boo Koo. Service: I walked and wasn't sure if I would be seated or if I needed to order at the counter and had to ask. Overall, the employees seemed very unenthused. Food: Very disappointing chicken pho. A good bowl of soup can make up for bad service and lack luster atmosphere, but this soup completely lacked flavor, and had a not-so-generous serving of meat and noodles. Atmosphere: This is more of a fast casual place and the atmosphere is just fine considering that. However, I didn't appreciate the flies buzzing around. Price: The one redeeming quality is that you don't have to break the bank to eat here. Worth it if you can find a dish that's better than the chicken pho.

    Boo Koo Peanut

I ordered the Boo Koo Peanut and the presentation is nice however the dish was horrible. The only thing that was decently good was the steak which was extra cost. The noodles were also overcooked. It tasted like pasta with a dollop of peanut butter. My friends also ordered the chicken pho and the pad thai. The broth in the chicken pho tasted like canned chicken broth from the store. Cabbage is not supposed to be in pho. Chicken was dry. The pad thai had ingredients that usually aren't supposed to be in pad thai like tomatoes, mushrooms, and celery. The noodles tasted like burnt noodles. I usually don't like to waste food but i couldn't finish it. Overall, do not eat here! Everything was bland.

I sat right at the bar, and it took 30 minutes for one of the bartenders to even acknowledge I existed. When she finally took my order, she forgot about it and came back later to ask if I had ordered. Eventually I got my drink, paid her in cash, and left a tip. She came back again asking me to pay. I reminded her that I had already paid cash (and hadn't received my change). This was the most attention I got over the 4 hour game. That said, the bartender wasn't too busy to serve the locals at the counter multiple times, chatting and laughing extensively with the regulars who were passing around homemade cupcakes or sharing plates of food they'd ordered from the Mexican restaurant next door. If you're not already part of the in-crowd here, you might find yourself waiting a while.

We had such a great experience at Corner Bar and will absolutely be back…read more Our server, Sydney, really made the visit stand out. She was super accommodating and attentive without being overbearing. Once we told her what we liked, she immediately knew what to recommend and guided us through the menu perfectly. You can tell she knows her stuff. We came specifically for happy hour (we're definitely HH aficionados) and made it our mission to try everything on the menu. While the chips & dip were good, they're something you can find elsewhere, so not necessarily a standout. Everything else, though? OUTSTANDING! The hummus, whipped feta, and muhamarra were next-level--easily some of the best we've had. The CN burger sliders were also a hit--we had one each and they were so yummy that next time my husband is already planning on getting two. The drinks were on point. The espresso martinis absolutely fueled our afternoon in the best way, and we also tried the creamsicle cocktail and the shrimp Za'atar from the regular menu--both were super delicious in their own way. The ambiance was great, and the bartender was clearly on top of things, which always adds to the overall vibe. One thing worth noting: happy hour is now only offered Monday-Thursday, but Sydney was kind enough to honor it for us on Saturday since the website hadn't been updated yet. That level of service really sealed the deal for us. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish--great food, great drinks, and even better service. Easy five stars.

Lately, visits have been less successful. Bigger crowds and service snafus have impacted the experience. I love the success they are having, but a recent visit was so crowded, we had to involve the host just to find our waitress when some of our food didn't arrive. She never returned to check on us. It was a weekend, loud and full to capacity and we had fallen off her radar for over half an hour. It seems with the success, Corner Bar may be at a crossroads: deciding whether to focus on the high energy and crowds or on the great service and positive experiences that keep customers coming back.

On a packed playoff weekend, the Bears-Packers game felt more rowdy Chicago than sleepy Mill Valley, complete with wall-to-wall TVs and loud cheering. The new iteration has increased crowd sizes. Skip the "Warm Winter Salad," which is really just roast vegetables in dressing. (Zero greens does not equate to a salad, in my opinion.) Because of that, my experience may be influenced by expecting a bit higher quality, especially given the other food options in the area The Cantina in Mill Valley is a pretty standard Mexican spot with a Tex-Mex lean. I usually enjoy this style of food; I was a big fan of places like El Torito in SoCal, but this one didn't quite land for me. We ordered two burritos. The portions were generous, but the flavors were very mild. I love bold, spicy food, and these were lacking seasoning in my opinion. I ended up taking half home and adding avocado, lemon, and salsa from my own kitchen to give it the punch it was missing. We also tried the queso fundido, which was interesting. I hadn't had it prepared quite like that before, and it definitely leaned more Tex-Mex. It wasn't bad, just different from what I expected. Unfortunately, the service was a letdown as well. I had to find menus myself, and the only ones available at the bar were happy hour menus. Later, the server told us that happy hour isn't honored on holidays, which was disappointing. If that's the case, those menus shouldn't be out at all--it sets expectations that weren't met. Overall, if you're looking for a basic Tex-Mex spot and aren't big on spice, this might work for you. For me, between the bland food and the service issues, it's not a place I'd rush back to.
