My first time here but a very pleasant experience!…read more Although the place's a big restaurant The wait is quite long. Once they do sit you down the service is fast. We got the spaghetti, Saimin ramen and the zip pac deluxe. For dessert we ordered 2 cakes, which they were mid in my opinion. The place's feels peaceful as it wasn't very loud.

I checked in and then was told it was an additional 35 minutes left, which was disappointing and I wish the waitlist accurately reflected what the host said. So after over an hour, I finally get seated and order the Korean fried chicken. It was cold and not even room temperature. At this point I didn't bother asking for another place because they were low staffed and the replacement plate was just gonna come cold again. But my waiter and the host were really nice and sweet girls. I went to pay at the register since my waiter told me to and that she can finish it there. Another waiter at the register said he can't finish my payment bc my waiter needed to do it, even though it was cash, I told him it was cash and didn't need change. After 5-10 minutes later of just standing at the register because my waiter wasn't coming, he's like OH it's cash I can take it. When I was standing there waiting for someone to take my payment, all the staff was just apologizing to everyone. I've been going to this location for awhile now and it's just consistently under staffed and I always get cold food. I hope they hire more help because every time I go management just lets them drown every time.

Mind you it was at 11:15 A.M. and it's a fried chicken restaurant, so that's absolutely ridiculous to me. We waited about an hour for our food to come out with no updates on anything. They could've said they were understaffed or they forgot to put in our order or something but no updates, absolutely nothing. I think they were even trying to avoid us because we're Asian. Also, a party was seated after us and left 10mins after. Honestly, we should've followed their lead. Chicken were 6.5/10; size of the chicken were huge I'll give them that. Chicken wings were smokey, salty and dry. Asked for them make it spicy; was not spicy at all. Their unlabel hot sauce (louisana hot sauce) were water down. They like putting cold watermelon on hot plates, no idea what that's all about. We also got And to top it all off it took about 10 minutes after we requested the check for it to arrive. If it weren't for waitress standing over us and watching how much I was going to put down for tip, I would've tipped 4 dollars max. We felt like they really needed the money so we tipped 18%. 10/10 will never come back. And I'll be telling my friends not to come either.

Zippy's - South Eastern…read more We recently visited Zippy's South Eastern and had a pretty good experience overall. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and has plenty of seating with a menu full of Hawaiian favorites like chicken katsu, chili, Spam musubi, loco moco, noodles, and plate lunches. The food was good, although nothing really stood out as amazing during our visit. Portions were decent, and prices were about what you'd expect for a casual sit-down restaurant. The customer service was friendly and welcoming, but we did run into one issue--we had to ask three separate times before we finally received a high chair for our child. It wasn't a huge deal, but it did make the start of our meal a little frustrating. Another downside was that the restroom wasn't very clean, which took away from the overall experience. Hopefully that was just an off day. Prices * Most breakfast items: $10-15 * Plate lunches and entrées: $15-22 * Kids' meals: Around $8-10 * Desserts and bakery items available at additional cost. Hours Open daily from 7:00 AM to Midnight for dine-in. Location 9570 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123 (right next to Henderson). Parking There is plenty of free parking in the shopping center, and getting in and out was easy. Tips * Visit during off-peak hours if possible to avoid longer waits. * If you're visiting for the first time, try their famous chili, chicken katsu, or Spam musubi. * Families with young kids may want to ask for a high chair as soon as they're seated. * Don't forget to stop by the bakery for desserts before you leave. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The friendly staff and tasty food made for a pleasant meal, but cleaner restrooms and quicker attention to family needs--like providing a high chair--would have made it a five-star experience. We'd still come back to try more items on the menu.

The Rainbow location was SUPER busy and maybe because it was Memorial holiday. I preferred our visit in Henderson since it was mellow and laid back. There were a couple of big families dining. The dining area itself is spacious, bright and clean. Their bathrooms were also clean. Staff were friendly and quick. My Korean fried chicken was soooo good. We also had dessert. I forgot to take a picture of my cold banana cream pie. It was satisfying!

The waitstaff were dressed very casual, jeans and t-shirt casual. Although the food is upscale, everything else about this place seems very casual diner like. We could even see most of the work going on in the small kitchen. Mostly shareable plates... Our table chose the deviled eggs with caviar - these were a hit! Dynamite shrimp, most at the table liked these, they were spicy and the flavor was decent, but I just felt like the sauce made the breading a bit soggy and it wasn't a favorite of mine. Pork Belly - This had a buffalo sauce on it, which I wasn't too excited about at first, but it worked better than I expected. Wish it was just a little crispier but it was tender and I enjoyed it. Oxtail risotto - this one had mixed reviews from the table, I really enjoyed it. The flavor was good. There's only a small amount of meat and it's shredded into the risotto. Overall the consistency was a little weird, very thick and almost sticky/dry, plus the dark color. They had a steak on the menu and the flavor was great, one of the pricier menu items but it was a good share. My wife ordered a burger without the bun. She said the patty was well over-cooked and so it was pretty dry. They don't offer gluten-free buns or bread - bummer. The service was generally prompt, but seemed uncoordinated at times. For example, it seemed our waitress was also handling a very large party outside on the patio, and randomly the hostess would bring us a drink refill (hostess stand was right beside our table). That's good in a way, they are all a team, but she also picked up my plate and silverware after only the first appetizer - mind you they bring everything out as it's ready, so don't expect the whole table to eat together, you are expected to share! When I asked if she could replace my silverware, she grabbed a fork and knife and handed to me, but they weren't rolled in a napkin or anything, just barehanded me some silverware... anyway, I thought that was odd. Overall, the food had some bright spots and perhaps worth a lunch if you are downtown. I probably wouldn't seek it out again, but I'm not mad about the meal we had either.
