I was in the area for work and someone recommended this place to me so we gave it a try. It was lunchtime on a Wednesday and I got the 4 piece special for 11.99. My coworker got the spicy popcorn chicken platter with rice and fries , and salad. His belly was hungry that day my friend. Mine had two wings and two drumsticks with fries and a green salad. The salad had balsamic dressing on it and it was good. The fries were okay. I don't like the little ketchup packets, if you're going to serve fries, make ketchup available. The four piece was a mixed of hot and mild. It had good flavor and was fried fresh. It wasn't spectacular but was solid. I would go back if this is what I was in the mood for.

This is a great fried chicken spot to go to if you're in the area or maybe looking to go to the spa next door or going for a grocery run at H-Mart. The fried chicken was amazing. We ordered the large combo #1 with wings and drumsticks. The chicken was perfectly fried with the right amount of crisp and juicy on the inside without being too salty or leaving you dehydrated afterwards. We got a side of rice and a side of fries. The fries were also perfect and overall the food was delicious. Service was about average where it took about 15 minutes for the food to come out but it was worth the wait. Ambiance is casual inside...most people take the food to go but if you have a chance to eat the food inside, I would definitely recommend it so that the chicken is the most fresh and crispy when you eat it.

Clean restaurant. Just order at tablet and the order will be ready in about 10-15 min. We got combo 1 half-half with the pickled daikon. The chicken was very crunchy but that's it. The spicy sauce was not spicy, just sweet. The non-spicy chicken was salty. After eating away at the batter, the chicken itself was plain, but juicy. I think it's easy if they brined the chicken before frying so that the chicken could have more flavor. The daikon was as it should- sweet and crunchy.

Love this place. Parking is frustrating because it's in the H Mart shopping plaza but don't let it deter you. Super casual. The food takes a while to come out but it's always fresh and hot. The fries are incredible because they're double fried. Highly recommend paying for the extra wing sauce to dip them in. It's on par price wise with similar places. Both the mild and hot flavored sauces are great. My only gripe is the chicken size inconsistency. I paid for a five piece but two of the pieces were extra tiny while the others where medium-large so not very consistent. Every time I go there's it's a mix of sizing. However it's so delicious it's worth it.

First time here and I was skeptical, but ended up pleasantly surprised. Ordered the popcorn chicken (spicy) with rice and it took over 13 minutes to come. Not what I'd expect of popcorn chicken but it was piping hot and fresh and juicy. A little too saucy IMO but it was tasty.

Legs or wings, and no legs when opened so we went with wings. Two flavors only, soy garlic and spicy, and so we went half and half in a small order ($18 for 7-10 wings).Brice or pickled diakon? Pickled diakon of course. Crunchy and sweet, but not overpoweringly so for the mild. The spicy had the same flavor with a little spice that didn't lose the flavor so that was better than other places. Greasy? Yes. It is fried chicken. Busy? Yes, a lot of pickup orders (ordered online and picked up). Definitely will try again!

Came here right after our visit to Hmart. It was lunchtime on a Sunday; the entire shopping plaza was busy so inevitably there was a bit of a wait here that day. We arrived in a group of 6 and secured a large dining table for all to fit comfortably! Inside isn't anything fancy. We waited maybe 20-25 mins for all of our food, luckily seated, since we were dining in. The food was phenomenal. It exceeded what I was expecting for a fast-food style chicken spot. Speaking on the fried food (we got wings, sweet potato fries, fried dumplings), they were so light and crispy that I wondered whether it might be air fried!... my family all agreed on that too. Some of our plates included a small serving of vegetable salad. It's always a pleasant addition when included to go along such a savory spread. Would I come again? Absolutely. It's nice to find good quality Korean fried chicken and a nice selection of side to go with it. You also can't beat the location, surrounded by plenty of other shops to get goodies from... although parking is a quest if it's busy!

I'm such a huge fan of boom boom, the chicken is just amazing. We always get the same thing, the large number one with rice, side of fries and dumplings which come with a salad. The chicken is so sweet and crunchy. I won't eat fried chicken anywhere else anymore.

Amazing !!!! Best fried chicken I've tasted from a chicken place in Edison.

Chicken is cooked to crisp perfection. The flavoring is well fried within the skin. One of the best chicken spots in NJ.

I'm way overdue for doing a review for Boom Boom Chicken! I've been going their for years and they've never disappointed me. Their Korean fried chicken is really delicious! You can customize your level of spiciness, I usually get it spicy but I'm sure the others are just as good. Once you order your food sometimes it might take about 15-20 mins but its worth the wait because at least you know that you're getting very freshly made food. If it's your first time you can try their lunch special or now they have an all day special too. But if you just want wings then you can surely get that too. I would suggest you place your order and then go browsing around in the plaza, maybe go get some Bubble Tea! So if you haven't tried it yet, next time you're in the area and going to H-Mart, give Boom Boom Chicken a try!

Arriving at noon, we were seated right away. After ordering, we noticed the kitchen does get quite busy with a lot of take out orders. Always a good sign when this happens to signify good food! The jajang-myun is so tasty with bits of seafood and onions. Sauce has just the right amount of flavoring and the noodles with just the right amount of chewiness and bounce. Loved the beef intestine stew! Not overly spicy and warmed me up on a cold winter's day. The ox bone soup came with spices and salt so you could taylor to your liking. Last new item we tried was the tang-su-yuk, which was flavorful but was more breading than pork. It is deep fried with a side of sweet and sour sauce. I liked having the sauce on the side instead of already dipped so you could add as much or as little as you'd like. There are a few parking spots behind the building amd to the side but we've never had any issues with getting a spot. Cozy place to eat and highly recommend!

I've come here a few times over the years, and I have repeatedly had problems. I typically ask for the meat on the side, and there's about a 50/50 chance it comes on top. They also messed up my order several times, and there's a chance they refuse to replace it (even if the receipt item doesn't match with what they gave me). I do not blame the cashiers or workers for this because I've ordered with several of them and had the exact same issues. This is a management-level problem. Most recently, they charged me for something I didn't order and said they were unable to do a partial refund. I told them that I didn't order the item and didn't want it, and they told me that a refund wasn't possible, so they gave me the item and a bonus soda. I appreciate the attempt to make up for it, but it just isn't enough. Why am I forced to buy something I didn't want? It also didn't even taste good. I can understand making a mistake every once in a while, but this is excessive. I won't be coming back to eat here again, and I can't recommend this place to anyone.

We got the pork sticky rice shumai, pork in garlic sauce over rice, sautéed string beans and pepper corn chicken. Shumai was ok. The pork in garlic sauce had way too much sauce and was a tad sweet for our liking; it was drowning in sauce. The strings and pepper corn chicken were very good. Both had a slight touch of heat. I wish we ordered differently but overall the food was ok. Our server was very nice and attentive. We're debating coming back to try more of the menu but with so many Asian/Chinese restaurants to try in Edison, I think we'd try someplace else.

We tried to get the attention of the waiter on staff multiple times, but was either ignored or they were behind the screen attending to something else. Upon entertaining on a weekend evening, there were a few tables with patrons but not too busy. The restaurant did seem a bit understaffed with only one person taking orders / bringing food out, making it difficult to flag down this one person to successfully take our order and ask for anything additional throughout the night. Gyudon: for the price, we were really surprised at how small of a portion this was. It was not only in a small bowl, but the meat was layered on top perfectly deceiving you to think that there was more than there actually was. The majority of this dish was rice, and with limited sauce at that. As displayed on the menu images it was to be served with a runny egg, but unfortunately we got a fully cooked one (disappointing, as we were looking for something to mix with the rice!) Sushi: We got a 3 rolls and they were just alright. They were pretty small in size, with less rice than I'm used to (which is something I do like - I would rather more fish than rice!) With us getting spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy scallop - they all kind of tasted the same, so I wish the fish wasn't as heavily masked with spicy mayo. Ramen: I got the black garlic ramen, and it wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. I've purchased fresh ramen packages in the supermarket before and it tasted just like that, so it made me disappointed knowing I could achieve the same at home. The soup itself was extremely rich and fatty, and the charsiu had no flavor whatsoever leaving much to be desired. The main reason I'm rating this so low is upon having my last bites of sushi, I could tell something was off. I don't recall which specifically I had but I made a statement that it was extremely fishy and off putting. Fast forward later that night, I was hunched over the toilet vomiting with stomach pain - and I can deduct that the sushi was the culprit. I might consider trying Ottoyee again due to the great deals they have listed on food delivery apps, but the sushi quality (quite literally) put a bad taste in my mouth.
