I don't have a great spice tolerance so the mild tofu soup is a perfect spice level of not really being spicy but still having some flavor. I ordered a mixed tofu soup and it was pretty good with a decent amount of seafood and beef and a good balance of tofu. This is located in the Hmart parking lot and it can get incredibly crowded, especially on weekends, and since it's close to Rutgers it's convenient for college students to come eat here. We usually love this place and it's our go- to whenever we want that soon dubu. However, I noticed that the soondubu is more watered down than what they used to serve. Our most recent experience here was a turn off. Hubby waited for our takeout order. As he waited, he watched as the bus boy cleaned a table and give one of the staff the rice from the table that were not eaten. She took it back into the kitchen! We can only assume that they're going to re-use those bowls of rice! I get the argument against food waste but those customers paid for the rice. You can't re-sell them to make another profit from it. Maybe it would have been ok to do this before but in times of COVID, it's definately a turn off for me. If you really want to help against food waste, customers should tell staff they don't want the rice (or any other food item they don't want) so that another customer doesn't end up with a re-purposed product. read more

Located right next to H-Mart, this Korean restaurant is pretty convenient and also delicious. The kimchi that comes along with the complimentary side dishes was amazingly delicious, not too sour and mildly sweet, which is perfect! My favorite out of tonight's meal was the summer special cold noodle dish, which was INCREDIBLY refreshing, especially during a hot summer day!!! While there are other menu items, I always get the tofu soup: oyster and mushrooms, spicy. If you dine in, the soup comes bubbling in a pot, so that you can crack a raw egg into the soup. (To-go orders do not come with the raw egg.) The banchan may not be the best you've ever tasted, but it is still pretty solid for munching on while you wait for your entree to come out.
