7 of us were hungry and couldn't decide if we wanted K-Pot or this place. I'm still sitting at the table with my family writing this review because we may not ever go back any K-Pot again. Honestly, I was so skeptic because my daughter said that you don't cook the meat yourself here, that instead, the server will. We're so used to driving out to the city for Korean or Japanese BBQ where we pick out our cuts and cook them ourselves. However, after tonight, I've been converted. Our servers Eric and Jinju were exceptional. There was never a moment that we needed anything from the moment we were seated. Eric helped us with the menu and suggested popular cuts while Jinju left no gap in service. If Eric was away from our table, Jinju was not too far behind, and vice versa. They never hovered either. Just there when you needed them, and space when you needed it. We truly enjoyed the selection of proteins we chose, the unlimited sides, the sauces, the service, the atmosphere and the attentiveness of our servers. Not once did we feel rushed and when the bill arrived the cost to value matched perfectly. I wouldn't come back too soon so that I don't get over this place. Butcher 360 is overrated and overpriced. When my husband and I first came here years ago, it was ~$35 a person for dinner. Now, it's $45. If they raise the price anymore, people are going to stop coming. The staff is always very friendly. However, I have a gluten allergy and mine wasn't very knowledgeable about which menu items were safe for me and not. They asked for me which I appreciated but they seemed annoyed once I asked another question or two. But they did eventually bring out a chart showing me what was and wasn't safe. As for the "gluten free" menu. Not worth it. You can essentially only eat 2 of the side options; rice and lettuce. They do have a lot of meat options so I'll give them that; pork belly, pork steak, brisket, beef intestine, and beef steak. There's absolutely 0 sauces they made gluten free which is crazyyy to me. Steamed egg? Apparently has MSG in it (which I always thought was gluten free but apparently not??). The soups have soy sauce in it and is already premade in a large tub. So for these reasons, I don't think butcher 360 was worth it at all. The meat itself was tasty. But the lack of options for people with allergies made this a bad experience. read more

Perfect, casual lunch with friends. Actually, we ordered off the dinner menu but it was around 1:30 when we got there. We didn't make a reservation so added ourselves to the waitlist when we arrived. There's a device at the entry to do it yourself. 7 minute wait, not bad at all. It was my friends' first time at a place like this and mine at this specific place. They loved the concept, we all loved the food. There is a QR on the chopsticks wrapper to review the menu. You order 3 meat choices at a time plus sides. We got through 5: spicy bulgogi, 360 steak, pork belly, short ribs, chorizo. Plus kimchix2, rice, dumplings, and popcorn chicken. It was the perfect amount of food for us! We didn't feel at all stuffed and definitely not still hungry. I ordered a soda and they give you a cup to use at a self-serve machine that has so many options. Reminds me of the Coca-Cola factory tasting room in Atlanta but all options in one machine. It's a nice open space, benches and chairs at the tables, family friendly, window walls that look out to the parking lot and stores, coat racks by the tables, and still privacy to enjoy your own conversations. Interesting KBBQ vibe place that is all you can eat! It looked like a Texas bbq style restaurant. When you walk in, there is a meat carving area where you can see workers cutting the meats into several pieces. The place was crowded over Black Friday night. We had to put our name in an electronic list located near the waiting chairs by the front. Once it was our turn, a nice young waiter explained the ordering system. There is a QR code to view the meats they can grill (there is a limit of 3 meats they grill at a time to avoid waste). It also showed an appetizer list as well. The appetizers are unlimited but beware of waste. The place has the option to order drinks and dessert for an extra charge. For the appetizers we had the kimchi, ox bone soup, vegetarian soft tofu stew, dumplings, popcorn chicken, steamed egg, japchae, and tteokbokki. I liked the dumplings, popcorn chicken, and the quantity of kimchi offered. We ended up trying the Hot Spicy Chicken, Sweet Chorizo, marinated short ribs, and spicy pork bulgogi. It pains me to leave this one star review but it was earned this evening. Our party of 3 arrived around 6pm. There was a 10-minute wait even though half the place was empty. I've been here a few previously and all was fine. Tonight was not. We had a server named Izza or Izzia or something like that. Out of the hundreds of places that I've eaten at in my lifetime, I could comfortably say that she was one of the top 3 worst waitresses ever. She was lacking energy. She clearly didn't want to be there at work and never ever cracked a smile the entire 1.5 hours that we were there. We were only allowed to order 3 items at once. Fine. There would be a long wait in between orders and she would turn the fire off our stove. When the orders arrived she would then have it sit a few minutes before she turned the fire on---as if to stall having to cook the meats for us. We only ordered 3 rounds of meats for three adults in the 1.5 hours of time that we were there. When we ordered the last round she told us that it would be out last round even though there's a 2 hour time limit and we were there just 1.5 hours. Several tables around us were already eating when e first arrived and when we left. We don't know why she gave us an attitude. We will never return. This place was recommended to me by a friend that claimed it was the best all you can eat korean barbecue restaurant they have tried. I've been to a few kbbq spots in NJ and NYC, but this one absolutely has the best steamed egg. I'm not sure what they do to it that is different, but it's so savory lol. I'm so sad that this restaurant didn't live up to the expectations & other reviews I had read about it. I've attempted to dine in once before so I had gotten a sneak peek of the interior - hip, sleek, and with a nice looking meat counter - it made me so excited to try the food. But when I was told that the wait was 2.5 hours at 5:30pm on a Saturday, I left with the promise that I would have to try the food one day. Returning and finally trying the food, I just wasn't that impressed. Sure, the atmosphere was great and fun and felt like a great hang out spot, but the food was lacking. The meats weren't all that special - the quality wasn't great, many were not seasoned (and if they were, pretty average) and you don't get to cook for yourself, so that's a downside. You don't get a choice in how your meat is cooked, and with the restaurant being extremely busy the staff don't take the time to lay out each piece, they kind of just take a whole pile and dump it on the grill. The saving grace for this restaurant was the banchan, getting the ability to order different soups (I love a restaurant that has tofu soup AND ox bone soup!) along with steamed egg, japchae, and a mayo-heavy green salad. While you're allowed to order as many side dishes as you want at one time, they do limit you on the amount of meat you can order at once. This proved difficult for my group, since one person didn't eat beef or pork, while another person didn't eat chicken, so being limited to a set number at once meant some people were left without food (along with waiting for the staff to cook each type of meat one at a time) so it made it quite a long dinner. Wish this restaurant had more seafood options, wish there were more options for seasoning and dipping sauces. They did the sides extremely well though! Solid AYCE KBBQ, only waited about 10 min on a Sunday around 5pm, we were 9th on the list but it moved quickly. Place is large, modern, has a bar you can use while you wait. For $40 pp it's very reasonable - has good quality meats and they will cook and cut for you. Our waiter didn't come by as often so some of the pieces needed us to rotate to avoid burning, and I wish they had moved the fully cooked pieces to a side plate - we felt rushed eating everything to avoid burning and overcooking. Sides were good - steamed egg was our favorite. Japchae comes in a very small serving so recommend getting more of those, along with radish and lettuce wraps. I came with my family late in the afternoon after a morning at turtle back zoo. There wasn't much of a crowd around 4, but I assume that the place must get crowded at night given how spacious this place is! But once you arrive, the hostess will seat you. Because I came at an odd hour between lunch and dinner cut off times, they gave me the option to choose between the two menus. I will say that the dinner option has more beef choices compared to lunch. But overall, you get most of what you'd expect from an all you can eat. There wasn't much of a banchan spread which was slightly disappointing, but again, for the the price you're paying- I get it. So we went ahead and ordered our meats and they came out nicely timed. The meats were great. Nothing particularly special or out of the world. We also got the steamed eggs and the white tofu stew. The first few sips were great, but gradually got saltier as you continued and the seasoned meats didn't help with the overload of umami. Arrived on what seemed like a pretty busy Sunday around 1pm. Checked in for our party of 6 and quickly seated within 10 mins! Upon arrival, the building appears extremely nice, clean, and open. Parking is not an issue. On the website there are a list of policies which are pretty standard for AYCE. However, the protein ordering is limited to 3 types of meat at a time and you must finish those before ordering more. Not sure if this rule still applies for a larger party but for ours - we had three rounds of short rib, bulgolgi, and pork belly and were full. The marinated short rib and bulgolgi were on the sweeter side than what we were used to and the pork belly is unseasoned. However, the cuts of meat are tender and good quality. 5/5 for all the sides. All sides on the menu are included in your price. -The steamed egg is a MUST. -Non spicy tofu soup is a MUST. -Tteok-bokki only comes with literally three pieces (so don't expect a platter - this sauce was also more sweet than spicy), -crispy chicken was also good -oxtail broth had no flavor (don't recommend) -kim chi was kind of soggy and old NOW.... As the food was good - our experience was actually completely ruined by the staff and service. To our servers Arissa and Henry - I am not sure what kind of bad day you had before us coming in caused you both be nasty and rude to our table. We did not ask for anything outside of what is on the menu. We did not ask to alter any foods. We did not cause any issues for you as we come from a family of food service workers. We wanted to simply have a girls day with our family and these two were eye rolling us any chance they had. This was my first date with my now-boyfriend, and it couldn't have gone better. We came to Butcher 360 and everything from the food to the vibe was amazing. The brisket was definitely my favorite, but honestly, everything we tried was delicious. Our waitress actually cooked everything for us at the table, which I wasn't expecting, but it was super helpful (especially since I had no idea what I was doing). And OMG, the kimchi... I still crave it. We were seated in a semi-private room, which made the experience feel extra cozy. There was also this guy nearby who was giving major wannabe Playboi Carti energy which, weirdly enough, turned into the perfect icebreaker. We're both fans, so it was hilarious and instantly gave us something to bond over. I kind of owe it to "Barti" for helping the night flow so naturally after that! If you weren't eating during the holidays, what were you doing?? Me and my crew tried this newer KBBQ spot in North Brunswick the Friday after Christmas. At 6pm. Oh lawd was there a wait!! Our party of 6 waited 85 minutes - and 2 of us waited half as long to even find a parking space. But it was 100% worth it and I'm glad we stuck it out. Read on for details: -there's an electronic waitlist. You get texted a link to see where you are in line and it refreshes in real time. You can also see how long it takes the parties ahead of you to get seated. This made the wait time more psychologically manageable. -there's a bar. Oddly enough, no one was really staffing it. Once we got someone's attention though after like 15 minutes (not kidding) the drinks made the wait more doable. We did see that later on in the evening they said no to walk ups at the bar. This is a HUGE mistake. If you have people waiting, fill them up on drinks - they'll eat less meat and spend more money. When I'm an internationally known restaurateur remember these tips. -plenty of places to sit while you wait. My mom needs knee replacements and until that day it's hard for her to stand. Food - on a whim, this was my first AYCE Korean BBQ experience and it did not disappoint, at all. We were a very patient party of four (3 adults, 1 toddler) on a bustling Saturday evening. The delicious food made the long wait worth it. I do not eat beef or pork, so my options were more limited than I expected. Nevertheless, poultry for the win! I had THREE variations of chicken - each just as scrumptious as can be. Kimchi - excellent! The pickled veggies - absolutely magnificent and nice palate cleansers/appetizers while waiting on the meat to cook. There was a fluffy egg dish I cannot remember the correct name of it, but it was yummy! All of the food is delightful. I like the soda machine with what seems like a million options, however, I strongly dislike having to get up and walk to it, stand in line, and wait while my shoes suction into the sticky floor. That's so gross and essentially dangerous, unsanitary.... you get the point. Not a fan of that! Plus it's a conversation killer - having to get up constantly for a simple refill. Service - our server was great. She was polite and attentive; always nearby, but not overly disruptive. Ambiance - the noise level was loud, as expected in a busy restaurant on a Saturday evening. The lighting was dim, but just right. I also was not a fan of the chairs. Not the most comfortable, especially knowing you'll be there for a while. 4 stars instead of 5 simply due to their policy of not taking anything with you. I understand the 'all you can eat' concept, however, if I have a little (or more) leftover on my plate, I do not see the harm in taking it w/me - it's paid for and the restaurant is only going to discard it in the trash anyway. Definitely the best KBBQ spot in the area! I drive from almost an hour away to come here, and it never disappoints! Wait times can be on the longer side during peak hours, but you can sit as long as you'd like and you never feel rushed which is great for an all you can eat! The meats are all really high quality, which reflects in the taste. I love that this spot offers dumplings and popcorn chicken, which I've never seen at other kbbq spots. First of all the food is phenomenal. I'm not very good at describing, but all I can say is that I can't put into words how good the steak is. Second, the service. This dude named Ryan is the best server I've ever met in my entire life. He's relaxed so it doesn't feel like a business transaction but he's also not so relaxed that he's lazy, and he's somehow like superhuman levels of fast. The aesthetic of the restaurant is also very nice, with simple minimalistic colors that don't pop out like crazy. The whole place is black which just so happens to be my favorite color. This place is amazing and I doubt Ryan will read this, but if he is, he's the best server ya'll got by a MILE. read more
