Great place to get quick Korean fried chicken. I love how they put rice cakes with their chicken. Good portion sizes and great flavor. The chicken wasn't super juicy, but it wasn't too dry. I'd come back!

The food here is amazing and this store is definitely being slept on! The chicken came out hot and perfectly crispy (not too heavy and not too thin), and the sauces were so, so tasty (we got extra spicy and soy garlic). I don't usually like soy garlic myself but this was actually super flavorful. And the extra spicy was just perfect for me. The lady manning the store is also so kind and thoughtful. Please support this place!

Arrived back in my hometown area last night. Flew cross country from Cali. Stop 1 for takeout. Boom Boom. I have been hearing about how yummy this joint is from my family...meanwhile drooling in CA. Finally, had some today for lunch. Ordered a bunch of sides, large and small chicken boxes. Soy garlic and spicy. The chicken is done so well. Crunchy, crispy, well seasoned skin. Juicy and fresh meat. I was also pleasantly surprised that the spicy was only lightly spicy. They offer EXTRA spicy for anyone who likes heat. The food was so good and not greasy. I can see why my family loves this place so much. There's plenty of indoor seating for those who want to dine inside. I prefer "to go". It took about 15 minutes. Everything is freshly prepared. I think I met the owner today. She was so warm and welcoming. Friendly service is so refreshing! ***A few PRO-TIPS: - Punch card - Are you a fan or fanatic? Get rewarded for your large box chicken purchases. After X number of purchases, you will get a small box of chicken for FREE! See my pic. - No delivery. If you need that, use GrubHub, Door Dash. - They have gift certificates! It's not for a dollar value but custom programmed at the price of specific menu items. - Monday - Friday - Nine $10 lunch specials. Amazing value!

Their food is really good! The service was quick, and the place is really clean. The food was served in about 5 minutes, and we ordered a ton of food. We expected it to take more time considering that we ordered quite a bit, but it was ready very quickly! The chicken is perfectly crispy, and the soy garlic chicken has lots of flavour and has the perfect mix of sweet and salty. Although it ticks me off slightly that they have covers of the top 40 songs on and kpop music videos playing on their TV. Very nice place, I would definitely recommend! :)

Solid and affordable place for chicken. I opted for the Chicken Teriyaki, which came with some standard veggies (onion, cabbage, etc.) and white rice. The teriyaki sauce was not as salty as most (in a good way) yet still added a nice flavor, especially to the rice actually. The chicken was cook well, but nothing that special. I came on a Friday night, but it wasn't that busy. The lady at the counter was friendly and the service speed was pretty fast. The interior is kind of small with some seating and is clean. Overall, Boom Boom Chicken isn't going to leave you clucking with joy, but certainly isn't going to ruffle your feathers either. If you're looking for some quick, affordable, and decently tasty chicken, stop by Boom Boom Chicken.

Can you ever go wrong with Korean fried chicken for dinner? Never! For our take out meal of the week, we had decided to have Boom Boom Chicken and it was a great decision! We placed our pick up order online and had an estimated pick up time for 20-25 minutes. Which wasn't bad at all since we still had to drive to the restaurant. Our order was ready upon arrival and was quickly already heading home. We had ordered 2 boxes of 20 pieces in soy garlic and french fries. Also with our order was cole slaw and the pickled radishes. So even after arriving at the house--the chicken was still so crunchy and juicy. The soy garlic was so flavorful and delicious and you tasted the flavor in every bite. The french fries are double fried and were so crunchy and lightly seasoned. Overall, it was a very delicious meal! Boom Boom has the best Korean fried chicken hands down! And this will definitely not be our last order!

Did a pick up order of A and the lady was accommodating on the phone explaining some differences and once there, they had observed social distancing well with tables put out in front with my order on it. Quick and easy pick up! Good quantity and flavor-wise, BB mostly matched Pelicana, which is my favorite. Spicy could've been slightly spicier, but chicken was fresh, juicy, and crispy even 15 min after picking up. Corn salad was nice and refreshing addition on top of the white radish pickle they provide for free (as all korean chicken houses do!) Their menu is perhaps a bit too simple (vs. place like BBQ in Cliffside Park) and I did find myself wanting Pa-dak (chicken with scallion salad bed) though. Not bad at all - could be a nice backup delivery option for those nights when I have Korean chicken attack. But I'd still prefer Pelicana and BBQ if I'm picking up on the way home for their varieties and slightly superior taste.

Only order the fried chicken from here! Do not get the tonkatsu! It was sooooo disappointing. I guess for $10 what do you expect? The portion size and the taste was so whatever. The soy garlic chicken was good though! Would only come back for the fried chicken.

Asked for the spicy, its not that bad!

Real authentic Korean FC, Always downright home cooked fried chicken! Quality has never changed in here, happy to revisit and enjoy more items than just fried chicken.

Stopped by for lunch with a friend. Prices are actually pretty low for Korean fried chicken when compared with other places in the area. After ordering at the register, we seated ourselves. The food was made pretty quickly, and the cashier brought it to our table. We got a large order of mixed spicy chicken, fries, and rice. The chicken came with a side of pickled radish as well. The chicken was a little saucier than I would have liked, making it a little less crispy. Flavor was still good though. Rice, fries, and pickles were the same as I'd get anywhere else. Decent spot overall.

Finally got to try this place I heard so much about on a Christmas day with wife because it was…read morefrigid and we wanted a warm bowl of Korean "tang"(soup). Finding parking is quite challenging given the location on a busy commercial street, so make sure you can come earlier than meal time to have better luck. They have waiting seats OUTSIDE so yeah I suppose it's quite popular at times. 1. ATMOSPHERE (3/5) - This location is small and it's pretty straightforward place. But I still found it cozy, with decent amount of seating (I think it can handle 15-20 max) and little details like wall with wood ledges and coat hangers were a nice touch. Seating was comfortable, though we tied our down parkas around our waist as another party had hung theirs on our side of coat hangers. 2. FOOD (4/5) - We dove right in to try their famous gejang (~Korean raw crab "ceviche") and ordered two of their namesake gookbap (rice with soup) to see how they are. Here's how it went down. - Gejang (App, $20, 2/5) - I had a hunch that on a holiday perhaps I should not order this, but my craving for succulent crab flesh be damned, I went for it and unfortunately, the meat was not well-marinated as I had feared. Gejang is a dish that has to sit in the complex soy-based pickling liquid for some time... and if restaurant is too busy churning them out or if it's slow season they won't do this properly. It not only wasn't fully marinated, I think the marinade was off because the spiciness was way out of balance and was overpowering. Perhaps knowing that it didn't have enough time to marinade the kitchen put extra diced jalapenos to compensate? Because that's exactly what it tasted like - you can't fool me. I tried to salvage the dish by asking a confused-looking girl server for some sugar, but yeah, can't un-do the overpowered marinade with sprinkling of sugar. This was really unfortunate as I was looking forward to a good bite. - Ahjae Gookbap (Main, $18, 5/5) - Thankfully, their namesake gookbap was spot-on to salvage our dining. Generous slabs of succulent beef on the bone and off the bone was swimming in a hearty beef/bone broth that tasted clean and focused. Portion was good, and can I say their banchan of fish cake moochim & unfermented kimchi & ggakdugi(radish kimchi) simply ROCKS? That was some serious deliciousness and dare I say value at $18 at a day and age where hamburger costs over $10! You win at life by ordering this! 3. SERVICE (4/5) - Our server girl was attentive and food came out early on though later it was a bit hard to get her attention promptly. We found ourselves putting hands in the air, and wavin' like we don't care... for a little while. They provide gloves & metal bin for gejang which was a nice touch for people to keep their fingers clean. One thing I'd like to mention: Plastic cup they served water in was all chipped on the rim so we instead went and got water from their hot & cold water dispenser which had metal cups (as many korean restaurants do). I'd suggest them to replace all these old plastic cups with metal ones for health reasons. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal. I'd chock up the gejang mishap to it being a holiday. I hope chef was just off with the marinade that day because I am a certified gejang pro(I catch and make my own) and that balance ain't it. But I will give it another try during warmer month and we'll definitely be back to try sooyook moochim, oyster jeon & other great soup offerings.

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

We decided on this place because rating was pretty good and was open late. It's located in a plaza with Korean market, liquor store, cafe and such. Large parking area available in the plaza. Inside is small but clean and gives off traditional Korean restaurant vibe with of course Korean music. There were quite few Korean customers as well as staffs so i knew we were in the right place. They specialize in Korean beef soup. We ordered rice cake and dumplings and special beef rib soup. The fish came with purple rice and various kimchi and pickled veggies side dishes. They also serve korean hot tea along side the dishes. My special beef rib soup was very light and clear but full of beef flavor. Little touch with salt and pepper with pickled veggies and rice paired with very well. The meats were very tender and flavorful as well. Portion is quite large and i was not able to finish my bowl although i did help with another bowl of rice from my partner. My partner got the rice cake and dumplings beef soup. This one was a but lighter and needed more salt flavoring but also good. She liked her's better as she doesn't like heavier and fattier meat/broth. Salt and peppers are provided to adjust your seasoning as needed. Even though they could not finish the dishes i throughly enjoyed the food. What i like about Korean dishes is that even some are heavy and fatty they include lots of vegetables and healthy ingredients which makes it feel like you had a healthy meal and lots of nutrients despite eating out. Service was minimal but adequate. Overall it was very good authentic Korean restaurant that offers solid Korean beef soup.
