Coworkers can't help to ask what it is. The mild chicken was a little to bland for my taste, but the spicy chicken may be a bit much for some. I can take the heat but prefer the half and half. The seasoning is excellent, spicy enough to tickle your tounge and tease you with a hint of sweetness. Add the cruchy outside and that oh so succulently juicy inside... I'm sold. I loved them when they first opened, but nowadays they seem to keep changing their recipe. I always order their spicy drumsticks - sometimes it would be too saucy for my liking, sometimes it is drier (which I prefer), but recently they've changed it so that it is no longer spicy at all. Why call them spicy if they're not going to be spicy??? I love their side dishes though, at least those have been consistent in terms of the taste. read more

After recently moving to Lyndhurst I have been doing a ton searching and trying out a lot øf The local eateries in the downtown rutherford n lyndhurst area. One of things i miss most is not being very Close or at least as Close to some of my favorite places to eat KFC. That being Peck Peck Chicken in Teaneck. About 2/3 weeks ago I learned that another popular KFC, BOOM BOOM originally from Fort Lee had recently opened a second post in the downtown Rutherford area. I was pretty psyched to hear this and Placed an order for 20 wings to go with mozzarella Sticks and a side øf fries. The wings Can be mixed how you like it. They offer two kinds of sauces - the standard soy garlic and The spicy variety which has a base øf a pepper similar to the kind found in saracha. The wings Can further be mixed with wings and drumettes and/ or with actual large drum sticks. It is pretty rare to find larger pieces offered in this style. Typically wings are The only pieces offered Since they fry The quickest and typically offer The Best results when being double fried. The wings here like most other KFC's Are double fried. The method used helps allow The wings skin fat to render out, cooking The wing thoroughly and The second passing helping The skin Fry to an extremely crispy Paper thin Shell. The crispness remains Even After The sauce is Applied and although they Are saucey in flavor they Are the farthest from messy. The retain flavor right Down to the bone. The flavor profile is similar yet very Unique compared to Peck Peck or say Bøn Chon. The consistency is also a bit different as well. Where as The wings at Bøn Chon Are more liquid which then is soaked right up by The wing Which remains crispy. The wings at Boom Boom have more øf a thickness in the sauce which remains as much out as it does within The skin. If that makes any Sense. The flavor øf garlic and soy Are the most prominent flavors with possibly Brown sugar and Honey being The sweetners that i taste when The sweet aspect øf The wings flavor profile come through. Overall they Are a Unique Korean Fried Chicken wing with a Unique set øf choices and side dishes not many offer. They Are diffently The Best choice for Great wings esp and in reality The only option for the Korean variety in the general downtown Rutherford area. In terms øf the options in the North NJ region in a 15 mile radius they Are still a top contender yet I still Place Peck Peck as king øf the NJ Korean Wing Wars. read more

What can I say, this chicken is outrageously good and addicting! It's very different than any chicken you'll ever have. I'm a big Popeyes fan and your typical southern fried chicken, so I'm hard to please to compete against those. But this place really knows how to cook it! I'm sure it's delicious, as I have tried it in their Fort Lee store. But here they refused to serve us because "last call for kitchen is 9:30pm", which is 30 minutes before their advertised close time.... Or maybe they just don't want to serve us. Tip: order ahead of time. The chicken takes a while to cook and prepare. I would call instead of placing the order via the app just because when I got there they didn't even know about my order until i mentioned ordering through yelp, so my order took like an hour from the time I ordered it to receiving it. So incredibly delicious, whether the chicken is spicy or mild. It is made to order so you will have a wait, but it is so worth it. I would eat them more often except they send my blood sugar skyrocketing. I wish they'd come up with a version that doesn't contain as much sugar. It's not really a place to sit down and eat. Best Korean Fried Chicken I've had yet. The skin is so thin and crispy. It's almost as if it's a chip, even with the sauce over it. The meat falls off the bone. You can literally just pull the bone out with little to no effort. I would say the chicken is definitely brined of some sort which I would say is rare for a KFC place. FYI, we had to wait 35 minutes from order for it to come out. I'm not sure if this is standard but I recommend calling before just in case. This used to be my favorite go to Korean chicken place. I love this place, I travel from Morris county to come here to get my fix, but today I order my lunch, the lady on the phone was rude and obnoxious because she wouldn't let me order what I wanted. Instead I get there, she explained that I can ONLY get rice or fries with the meal. She even show me her computer, but yet I told her that, I've ordered many times, and every time I order, it's always 6-7 lunch boxes or at least twice or three times a month traveling from Morris county. And I told her that there's used to be another lady that use to work there knows what I always ordered and never had a problem, and she didn't understand what I was saying. Anyhow, the lunch entrees I received there were big chunks of leafy spring mix, not even chopped up, basically just cut in half and put in a box., the sauce aren't tasty, the rice are much less in portion.
