We did not have the most pleasant experience this last time we were here. First we were told by a server we were not able to sit at the booth bc it was reserved for a big group. No big deal - we chose a table instead. But a group came in after us and they separated the table connecting to the booth so they can sit at the table. So we asked another server if we were able to sit in the booth and was told why not? We sat down and ordered our food after wiping off the table and seats bc there were crumbs everywhere. It was a busy evening and we waited almost 30 minutes for our food. First, the bacon was burnt and our toast was missing. They did bring us a basket of unburned bacon but toast was still missing after we finished our plates and after we mentioned it to 2 different servers. Finally after mentioning to a third server, it was served. I understand it was a busy night but how long does it take to toast your bread? Needless to say, it was quite a disappointing experience this time.

Got there at 6:45. Didn't get our dinner until 8:08. Fold was so cold the cheese wasn't even melted. Buns were burnt. Never had an experience like this at this location.

Boomerang diner is an old restaurant that has good following clientele with a lot of nostalgic keepsakes for viewing. I love trying out different types of dinners. At this dinner pay attention to the menu because burgers and sandwiches are served la carte. When ordering a sandwich/burger the server will ask you if you want French fries or other tasty sides. I ordered a patty melt, onion rings and a cup of chili. My hubby ordered the Ruben sandwich and fries. The cup of chili turned to be a bowl of lukewarm Ma that could not melt the cheese. The patty melt beef patty was very dry the bread was not grilled. The Ruben had very little corn beef. The fries and onion rings were average. The boomerang is a nice little diner with very friendly service.

I was in town from Houston & my parent's recommended this spot! At 1st I was like...NO! The ambiance was 50's themed! Elvis themed to be exact! I ordered the mini potato skins, the fried catfish! The fish was fried just right! (Friday is all that you can eat $13.99) My parents ordered the burger & fries (excellent homemade real beef) Our host Brittney was AMAZING! I highly recommend this location!

Huge portions. Friendly service. Reasonably priced. Old diner feel in a quaint old historic downtown area.

We live close by but had never been to this eatery. We ordered their nacho tots which are made with real cheese and real bacon and plenty of it. No shortage of jalapeños either. It was nice to actually taste everything in the dish. I had the Rueben sandwich and hubs had the patty melt since it was half price burger night. The Rueben was good, the corned beef was tender, juicy and flavorful. The sweet tea was perfect! Crew is super friendly and it was very clean as well! What a gem!!!

My waitress was very sweet. My omelette was not edible, i got the Spanish omelette, it had huge slices of red onion in it. . My toast was not edible, it was soaked in a gross tasting butter. Similar tasting to whirl. My hash browns were edible. The food was just not it. They were out of the fried pickles and fried mushrooms and cheese curds. My bestie looked cute and we had a good time but i could not eat my whole meal. I REALLY wanted to try the fried pickles.

Service great but cook wants to argue what rye bread is. Authentic Ruben sandwich? I don't think so!! Rye bread is NOT burnt white bread!! Insides not bad tasting but very little meat and ingredients. Will be back but not for Ruben.

Redrock Canyon Grill - Lake Hefner…read more First visit--and I can confidently say this place just earned a spot in our regular date night rotation. We walked in to a packed house, which is always a good sign, but were seated immediately. From there, the experience never missed a beat. Beverly took care of us and was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged. You can tell when someone enjoys what they do, and it shows. We started with margaritas, and when Beverly said they were "perfect," she wasn't overselling it. Smooth, well-balanced, and served ice cold. We're both olive fans, so of course we asked for extras--and they delivered without hesitation. Going in, we made a deal: appetizers or dessert--not both. After hearing about the pineapple upside-down cake with vanilla ice cream, that decision was made pretty quickly. For the main course, Beverly walked us through the menu and the weekly specials: * Rainbow trout with roasted peppers and cucumber salad * 14 oz peppercorn crusted steak with mashed potatoes, broccoli & parmesan I know my wife--steak was the obvious choice for her. I went with the trout. Both dishes were excellent. The trout was cooked perfectly with a light, flavorful sauce that didn't overpower the fish, and the vegetables were fresh and well-prepared. The steak was cooked just right, full of flavor, and paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes and broccoli finished with parmesan. What really elevated the night was the hospitality. Kirsten, the manager, stopped by to check on us and took the time to have a genuine conversation. She shared details about patio seating and upcoming live music nights, which we're already planning to come back for. Then came a surprise--she graciously covered our dessert. A classy move that didn't go unnoticed. And that pineapple upside-down cake? Warm, soft, topped with melting vanilla ice cream... absolutely worth skipping the appetizers for. The Bottom Line: Great food, exceptional service, and a relaxed but polished atmosphere right on Lake Hefner. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, this is the kind of place that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend for a date night or a nice evening out.

It was served on a smallish hamburger bun and the piece of Grouper was only about 1/2 the size of the bun.... Maybe 3-4 oz. It was a bit fishy as well.... The fries were cold and limp. All secondary roads are still snow packed so at 11:30 there was only one other couple in the restrauant. The Press is in an old (1920's ?) repourposed building. The interior is comfortable, charming and a bit whimsical. We started with an order of cheese sticks. They were very good and large. I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was good and the waffle fries were excellent. The portions are large and the food quality excellent. The prices reasonable. The menu has variety. You can't go wrong by dining at The Press.

I've been here twice and each time leaves me looking forward to my next visit. Adriana was our server last time and did an amazing job. Quick to keep our coffees topped off and full of information about the food items I was considering. I had the Big Boi Burrito, and it was very filling and yummy. My friends chose the Press Cobb and Breakfast Bomb. They were both very pleased and stated there was many options on the menu they would be interested in trying.
