Food was not that good tonight. The onion rings were not fresh and were so hard to cut them to eat. Our entree of chicken fried chicken was not cooked all the way through so I requested just a few tenders so I could eat and a whole order came out by manager who said here is your well done tenders and turned around and left table. Well first tender I tried to cut with knife just shredded and wouldn't cut. Gave up asked for chicken fried steak to be removed from ticket, paid and left Won't be back!! My first time at a BoomerJacks Grill. I started with a Bulleit Old fashioned. I love the taste of whiskey/bourbon but the old fashioned tasted like. Bad mix rather than true bitters and simple syrup. If I am wrong it was maybe just too much syrup. Next drink I ordered a draft beer. All was well on that front. My food order may have gotten mixed up a tad. I ordered brisket nachos. My server showed up with a quesadilla. I really regret correcting her now. Portions of the brisket were so tough it was like eating jerky. The chips tasted very stale and the cheese sauce on the nachos was terrible. I ate what I could stomach only because the server had to replace the original order and I used to serve tables so I have a ton of empathy for everyone in food service. Otherwise I definitely would have told her I didn't enjoy the nachos at all. My server was friendly and patient the entire time with a good sense of humor and all 3 stars go to her. Went last Sunday for the first time for the Sunday day games. There has been several failed restaurants in this building prior to BoomerJacks coming in. I think this is a perfect spot for a spots bar. The restaurant was really busy. I was very happy to see all the big screen tvs. Many sports bars talk up their amount of screens, but BoomerJacks truly delivered. When we arrived, we were greeted by a mix of hostesses and servers all standing at the hostess stand. None of the waitresses were all too eager to want to serve us as the seemed to bumbled about and say they had far too many other tables. After about a full minute of watching them debate, a defeated waitress grabbed menus and said "right this way". I would have understood that behavior of we were a party of 12...but is was just my husband and I. We were sat and we ordered cocktails. We weren't offered waters, so had to ask for those when we got our food. The TVs showed every game that day..which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 3. The food was mediocre bar food. We shared the patty melt (soggy bread). The sauteed onions didnt go well with the burger because the basaltic they cook them in is too overpowering. They would be good in a salad. The philly cheese steak was severely lacking meat. The bread was really soft and stole the show as far as both the meals were concerned. We will be back for the games. Will probably just sit at the bar next time where the expectations for service isn't as high. read more

This was our first time at Boomerjack's Grill & Bar and man oh man was it delishhh! For cocktails, Ray had the Texas Sunrise ($7) which is deep eddy vodka, orange juice, pineapple juice, finest call strawberry, and a splash of sprite (aka a very manly drink ). It had just the right amount of sweetness. Not too sweet so if you are trying to turn up, you can definitely handle more than one! Dawn had the Adult Cherry Limeade ($6) which is pinnacle cherry vodka, finest call lime juice, and sprite. If you like the cherry limeade from sonic, you will love this! Not too sweet and very refreshing. This is also one you could have several of. For food, we had the southwest egg rolls as an appetizer and split the Triple B burger for our entree. The southwest egg rolls were very good and came with this delicious avocado cream for the dipping sauce. The Triple B Burger is the meaning behind food coma - wowzer!!! It has beef, bacon, and brisket (hence the name triple b) on the burger and then topped off with crispy onion rings. Thank goodness we shared this because this one will put you to sleep. I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. I recently moved to the area and have visited this restaurant three times. Unfortunately, each time I experienced poor service. It took a long time for the waitstaff to acknowledge me and take my drink order. Even when it wasn't busy during my third visit with my mother and niece, the service was even worse. They were busy but still disorganized, orders incorrect, and serving them cold. Flies everywhere landed in your drinks (gross) and we were inside. Your server walking right past you, never asks if you needed anything like a refill on your drink. We had to keep flagging her down and asking for refills or the check and asking if they removed the charge for bacon on my sandwich since it wasn't on it! I used to visit the Grapevine location and was hoping it was just a one-time thing, but I'm disappointed to say the service at this location is just as bad. I won't be visiting again. read more

I come here 3-4 times a week. I know the good servers, the ones to avoid like the plague, and the ones that are "ok" but won't last. If Danni is the bartender, you're golden. If she's not, then sit at a table and ask for Darla. They're probably gonna try some dumb crap about being on rotation but stand firm. They have to try rotation because the regulars KNOW not to deal with the rest of the staff. Food is always solid. It's a sports bar, you're not getting gourmet food but it's always consistently tasty and not super greasy. The turkey melt is a fav, but the shrimp tacos are tasty too. Burger is good, just make sure to ask for it mooing. It will come out a solid juicy medium that way. read more

we keep going back and I don't know why...the service is horrible and food is hit or miss each time. going to describe a couple of visits for y'all...first, lovely patio when weather is nice, went for a Cowboys game last fall and decided to sit outside, we ask for a seat on the patio, host sits us in a corner section with 4 tables, we are the first ones seated in this area. a few minutes later another couple is seated. about 5 minutes later the lady at the table next to us asks if we've seen our waiter...we said, NO. now let me say this, I had made eye contact with several waitresses while seated at the table but none of them came to our section. I finally went over to the group of waitresses at the POS machine and asked if anyone knew who was serving that station. I was told, " she hasn't come in for her shift, she's running late." WHAT THE WHAT WHAT WHAT??? if you know this, let somebody know, let the host know, let your manager know, go grab those tables and when she gets there, tell her you took the tables...seriously baffled by that answer. I told her we had been sitting there for 10 minutes and needed service now, she came over a couple minutes later after talking to some dude that was running drinks, bussing tables, and asking everyone if they need anything...that is, everyone BUT our section. our waitress came in 10 minutes later and introduced herself but did not want to be there...her body language said it all. now for our visit yesterday, 3/21/21...we sat down in a section with 8 tables, we were the 3rd occupied, 5 were empty. after around 5 minutes we finally see our waitress and order drinks from the bar. we notice right away she has no pep in her step and didn't want to be at work...even though she was wearing a mask you could tell there was no smile, her eyes said it all.. we looked at the menu and decided on food within the next few minutes. we see our waitress several times but she never looks over at us, she's too concerned with a table that had called a manager over... about 10 minutes later the table that was complaining about their check left and was being cleared out by a dude hustling around the restaurant. the dude notices me getting frustrated and asks if we've been helped, I said we ordered drinks 10 minutes ago and would like to order some food but our waitress is nowhere to be seen or avoiding us. he grabs a napkin and takes our order. our waitress sees him doing this and then she decides to approach. he goes to put our order in and tells her to go check on our drinks from the bar, remind you she hasn't even brought us water or asked if we'd like water. she comes back with drinks and asks if we need anything. I said something along the lines of we are good for now and that we were just hungry, we had been there 15 minutes and she came to our table once. she said, "I didn't even know yall were here, I didn't see yall". YOU'RE A WAITRESS, ISNT IT YOUR JOB TO LOOK FOR NEW CUSTOMERS AND CHECK ON THEM, ASK IF YOU TABLE WITH DRINKS NEEDS REFILLS??? she had 3 tables, 2 once that upset table left...2 tables, inside and SHE WAS hanging out in the kitchen or on the patio. about 10 minutes later an older lady in a red shirt walked up to our table, I thought it was going to be a manager by how she carried herself but she didn't say anything that made it clear. she asked if we had ordered food, we said yes, she brought us silverware and napkins right away. our waitress sees this and immediately slumps her shoulders and slowly walks over to the same station, grabs silverware and plates and takes them to a table near us...they already had all their silverware, plates and napkins...lol she noticed as soon as she set it on the table and you could tell she was defeated. for the rest of our meal she apologized about 5 or 6 times, we told her it's fine, which it truly was now that other people had been helping. we were being nice, not rude, didn't have any tone in our voices at all. she wouldn't go away, just kept coming back to apologize and it got really annoying. also wrote "I'M SORRY :(" on the check... our food was mediocre...I ordered boneless wings and they were NOT TENDER at all...they took some work to chew. my wife's burger was just okay in her words. both our fries were soggy. there were plenty of other waiters hustling and all smiles through masks...but not for us. we won't be back, I'll miss the sauce on the wings but other places have similar sauces and way better service. This place is awesome. Food is spot on. There is something for everyone. The wings were a bit small for the longest time, but something happened and now they are huge. We went on a Tuesday. They had $3 Crown and down (that means good liquor for $3) and half price bone in wings. $10 something for 20 big a$$ wings works for me. Our server was Kylie I think. Bubbly with lots of personality. Most places you don't see managers on the floor, but we were pleased when the GM came to our table to check on us. I believe her name was Raquel or Rachel. She looks like Taylor Swift. Good job BoomerJacks we will be back soon. Tons of TV's for sports watching. Darts, a pool table, and 2 golf games. We ordered wings,shrimp tacos grilled and Monte Cristo. Server was magical, she would disappear all the time and we were looking around for her several times. The wings that are called appetizers for a reason came out with the meals. The wings were very very small and I thought they were pigeon wings at first. Also, the wings were sitting around for a while and not fresh or hot when they came to us. The shrimp tacos were not Gulf shrimp as advertised and also cold. Sat down on the patio tonight and ordered a dirty vodka martini. When it arrived, it was 1) small, 2) weak. It was genuinely the worst martini I've had to date. Our awesome waitress, Kate, convinced the bartender to add a shot to the mix to help things out. When it arrived, it was still very weak and chock full of olive juice. After two times, we gave up and ordered one of their specials, a shot of crown. Surely nothing could go wrong there, right? The shot came out and tasted like watered down whiskey. Tossed it back and ordered a beer because surely it would be impossible to mess up. Thankfully, third time was a charm. Our awesome server Kate is the only I'm giving two stars. So this was my first visit! I give them a definite thumbs up and my waitress was Allie. Friday noon it and they are busy but they have plenty of wait staff. Lots of sports screens up so it's a very lively environment. I don't do gluten so I cannot attest to the bread or buns on the sandwich. But I had the chicken bacon ranch avocado and cheese sandwich without the bun. And sweet potato fries. Am I estimation these are the best sweet pet fries at any restaurant around my world. Or actually any I've tried of late. They're not little bitty teeny. They're not over fried. They have a nice amount of seasing but don't have that crazy amounts of spicy stuff. He likes thin burgers and they were thick as meatballs. Then MY burger was raw, I mean super rare! And when I pointed it out and asked if this was usual, the manager was not very nice about it. "Well, maybe they put someone else's burger on your plate" and then just waited for a reaction from me. The ice tea has been bad for a while. It tastes like they don't clean the dispenser. Tried Boomer Jacks in Fairview for the first time and was able to practice social distancing on the patio with a Tropical Hurricane made with Southern Comfort Original, Blue Curacao and Pineapple Juice with a floater of Myers's Dark Rum. Had my food delivered. I ordered the California ranch chicken sandwich and fries. Other than the fries being very cold the burger was good. The bun, I wish I knew what kind it was. Maybe an egg bread. It was so soft and shiny on the outside. I have to point out their ranch. It is by far one of the best. Next time I'm going to request some more. Good spot for watching sports games - lots of screens and seating - you can tell it can get very fun if there's lots of people there watching a particular game.
