A review of boomers has to be done in 2 parts. The kid view and the adult view of this place are very different. For kids this is a great place for the most part. There are tons of games, go-cart's, bumper boats, mini golf, laser tag, and batting cages etc.. I am sure most kids would give boomers 5 stars but they aren't the ones paying are they? LOL! A negative to boomers is the prices can be very high if you don't purchase one of their all in one deals that include everything. This doesn't include games that dispense tickets that is extra. You also have to really watch the kids when they swipe the cards on the games that do give you tickets because every time I go there I find at least 1-2 machines that will double or triple deduct money for just one swipe. I had to have one of the employees recharge the card and fix the machine on more than one occasion. They have great options for food not just pizza but the prices are way too high even for a place like boomers. $21 for a cheese pizza?! Not much cheese either! They have beer as well which is a nice touch for the adults who have to chase the screaming kids all day lol! The service could be a lot friendlier but they do keep the place pretty clean considering. The mini golf course could use a major face lift as well. read more

We've all been to Boomers in various cities, and to similar types of places not called Boomers. This Boomers is not up to par with others. Their mini golf is lame, in need of repair, with dried up ponds, and litter. Most holes seem like a repeat of the previous. There's just nothing interesting about it. For pretty cool mini golf, where they'll even deliver your drinks to you on the course, head to Putt'n Around in Delray. The batting cages are probably the worst I've experienced, and I've experienced dozens of them over a career in women's baseball and fastpitch. Of course, if you're a serious player, you bring your own equipment. For casual players though, they don't offer many bats in various lengths or sizes, and they lack enough helmets in various sizes, though helmets are required. So, even if you're a casual player, bring your own equipment. The pitching machine kept getting stuck and tossing out 3 balls at a time. When you're hitting a 70-75 mph baseball and 3 balls are coming at you at once, look out! The guy in the slowpitch cage near us kept having to walk out to push softballs into the gutter so he could get more pitches. That's ridiculous! The best game (yeah, this is totally subjective) is the PacMan air hockey game in my opinion, where NUMEROUS pucks fly around the table at one time. "It's Saturday night, I have no date, a two liter bottle of Shasta, and my all-Rush mix tape. Let's rock!" I'm going to pretend that the reason I went to Boomer's because my little cousin wanted to go. In reality, I went for myself, because I am a Judd Apatow manchild. The Go-Karts were pretty average, but the line was quick enough, and the price cheap enough, that a few rides to determine who the best is were easy to do. The minigolf course was surprisingly good, except for one of the holes, which jumped over the river: At least 5 people lost their ball to the lake before we'd gotten there, and then 2 of our party did as well. But other than that one hole, it was quite a bit of fun. There's also two different courses, but the time spent on doing both would mean less time for the other stuff, eg the arcade. The arcade at boomers, for me, is the equivalent of a casino for a 70 year old retiree with a fresh pension check. Pretty much every game I would want in an arcade is here; from Guitar hero, to Cruis`n USA,to Galaga. Yes, hidden in the very middle is a neglected Galaga machine. In addition, you could also spend your cardmoneys on token machines, if you want prizes, or if you're like me and like to make some little kid's day by donating them a few thousand tickets. The prices aren't the best, but if you go as a group and get the highest priced ticket grouping, it cuts the prices in half. And that's enough arcade time to make any geek happy. Maybe it was because it was late on a Monday, but I found the staff very lethargic and on the unfriendly side. They weren't on full staff (due to it not being busy) so you also had to leave the back outside area and go to the front desk at the entrance every time if you wanted to do an activity (mini golf, boat bumpers), which was annoying. Then they didn't seem very pleased to be helping you. Nothing extremely overt, just the subtle feeling and small hints that they wished you'd hurry up and leave. Also, when we spoke to an attendant about a game that detected a cheat on our behalf (we did not cheat) and shut down our session, he implied that we were lying about not cheating to recuperate the points we lost on the game, which I found offensive. Besides that, the bumper boats were criminally slow (but I guess it's understandable, to avoid accidents), the mini golf course was fun but unchallenging and uninventive (even to a beginner such as myself), and the laser tag area was closed, which was disappointing. I really wish I could rate this place a little better. This is a fairly negative review, but if you have kids I'm sure they will love this place...you won't. The go karts, bumper boats, and laser tag were actually quite fun, so no complaints about that. But after I did those things I figured I was ready to kick someone's butt at some video games. Unfortunately I've noticed that a few of their games just flat out don't work and they neglect to fix them. Fine, let's play a different game.... Get to the next game, win a big bunch of tickets and I start getting excited.....but the machine is broken or out of tickets...Already the experience is going down the drain. This place was very disappointing. Let me be clear: I like Boomers. I really like Boomers and I love the idea of a place where you could play video games, climb a rock wall, and drive go karts with your friends. The idea is fantastic, but the execution here is poor. I think it may have just been a bad day, but it was a really bad day. When I first walked in, it was obvious: the A/C was broken. This is a no-no in Florida. I came here to play and instead I suffered, and suffered badly. On top of the A/C being broken, a large amount of the games were also broken. They just didn't work at all, or didn't work properly. On a couple games, only one (out of a group) would work. For example, only one of the group race units was working, and I found out only after someone else tried joining my race. Just great. I brought friends, and I couldn't even play collaboratively with them. Finally, when we tried to get the tickets counted to place on our card, guess what: the ticket counters were broken too! Out of maybe 12 ticket counting machines, ONLY TWO OF THEM WORKED. Can you imagine how many people were waiting to count tickets? I almost decided to just throw the tickets away and leave. Overall, it was a bad experience. Next time I want something like Boomers, I'm gonna go to the other location in Dania. read more

Leaving two stars because we did play a fun round of mini golf and laser tag. Our party spent about $80 and was unable to play the games we wanted to play, also the "scanners were down" so our party was unable to receive any prizes for the tickets won on the cards. I can't imagine how horrible that experience would have been for a family bringing children. When we asked for a manager, Brooke came to help us after maybe a 10 minute wait. She was very unhelpful and had a poor attitude overall. Many games either don't work and take credits from your card or are in bad working order. Very disappointed with my experience. Dumpy. Front entrance was being repainted but no where were there signs that the place was even open. Only because we saw others going around back did we try to enter. Wandering around the mostly unmanned outer area where all rides or activities appeared to be closed down we went inside the arcade area and was finally directed to the front counter where we bought a round of mini golf. No directions or instructions informed you as to which of the 2 course entrances to choose, we randomly picked one and set forth putting. All the water features were not running. They were dry and litter filled. There were cut irrigation hoses and rusty pipes strewn around everywhere. Also the clubs were rusted and all the "greens" we're litter and leaf covered. Kinda felt like I had gotten a tetanus booster shot before venturing out this morning. Puttin' Around off of West Atlantic might not have as much to offer as far as other attractions but it beats Boomers hands down when it comes to an enjoyable round of mini golf. read more

What can you say about Boomers that's good? The birthday party staff was pleasant and helpful. Security is limited, including entry into most of the outdoor area through a gate that should be closed and has no security camera that would allow just about anyone to walk off with a kid does not make me feel particularly comfortable about having my kids wander through there anymore. There are few or no staff on the game floor either to watch the goings-on. The place ranges from dirty to adequate. The repair of the golf area and other areas is marginal at times. They must be doing something right, because the lazer tag had an hour wait, and the go karts were about a half hour. The go kart was actually kinda cool, with a lot more than the standard oval track, which is what I figured Floridians would be into... The video games were hit and miss. I played some shooting game where the gun had a broken front, and caused the aim to flutter all over the place, which was really annoying. I felt cheated. I have no idea if game their selection is any good, as I don't keep up. What little bits I had of the food were pretty average. I don't know why this place has such low reviews. It was really nice and fun! Everything looked clean and there was hardly any trash anywhere. The Go Karts were fun and the attendants made sure everyone was safe and following the rules. The Mini Golf area looked like they were renovating it a little and little everyday but the area was beautiful and there are two courses. The Bumper Boats were fun but the water area was a little small. The Laser Tag place was nice, the equipment worked. We didn't do the Bumper Cars because they seemed kind of kiddish. The Rock Climbing attendant was only doing one person at a time. I don't why but it didn't bother us that much. The food was good but a bit pricey. The arcade had a lot of games. It's very loud inside but it has a very wide range of arcade games to choose from. The prices are a bit high and the prizes for tickets are on the cheaply made side. There's a laser tag area that's a lot of fun. The mini golf is great and my favorite part of the place. There's batting cages as well, though I've not used them before. My wife and I were staying in Ft Lauderdale with some family. We figured one night we would take my two cousins (10 & 16) out to do something fun. I found Boomers on here and was kinda nervous about it due to some of the bad reviews. There was lots to do there including video games, laser tag, bumper boats, 2 go kart tracks (make sure you are wearing tennis shoes), batting cages, and a couple small rides for kids. The Good: There was lots of things to do. The prices weren't actually that bad. We played laser tag and rode bumper boats for about $50. The Bad: I read a lot of reviews about the staff being rude, well unfortunately that was very true during our trip! I stood at the counter with no one else around for 15 minutes while multiple employees were sitting there gossiping about the customers! I couldn't believe there were just sitting there talking and laughing at people. I was in total shock. I feel like if the owner would've been there he wouldn't of been very happy with the way his employees were presenting himself. There was one employee who was working the bumper bots who was extremely pleasant and recommended us to a couple other fun things to do in the area! We had a bday party and the place was awesome. It was nice clean and the kids had a great time. The service from the bartender Dara was amazing she took care of us and all of our party. We spent 4 hrs there and the kids had a great time. The best part of the whole ordeal came at the end when we were leaving and noticed we had a flat tire and it was Sunday and we drove up from Miami far from home !!! Well William the AGM and nick one of the staff came to the rescue. They had us pull over at the back and helped us out change the tire and actually did it for us. This place is such a waste of money because first off the food proportions are so unfair and small. I bought Dippin Dots for my son and it was a small and even he could fit it in his hand. Also the staff are so rude. The customer service is just terrible. I asked them for the restroom directions and one staff rolled their eyes! Also half of the equipment is stinky and dirty. My 8 year old daughter was invited to a birthday party at Boomers. We drove 45 minutes and for over an hour she was having the time of her life. Then she got on line to ride the bumper boats. She was grouped with a party she didn't know, but being the tough cookie she is - she happily got in her boat. Immediately we had a problem. She had a DEFECTIVE boat. She was unable to move, steer, etc. The group of kids realized that she was stuck. She couldn't move or spray. That started screaming "GET HER" Did Boomers shut it down? Did they rescue the 8 year old who was being BULLIED and ATTACKED? Did they respond to the loud group of parents screaming to HELP HER? No. When she got off the ride, all 50 pounds of her soaked to the core and crying hysterically, I brought her to a manager. I asked them for a tshirt so I could change her out of her soaked clothing, and shoes, and she could continue to enjoy the party. The manager said NO. He told me that they don't sell child size shirts, but they sell adult ones I can purchase for $20. I explained that this is a result of a defective ride, unsupervised children, unhelpful staff... could I please have a tshirt and I will dry her clothing with a hand dryer in the bathroom. He then said NO... CHILDREN GET WET ON RIDES... AND THE HAND DRYERS IN THE ENTIRE FACILITY DO NOT WORK. I was outraged. Children get wet... not bullied. Children get sprayed, not attacked. This was UNACCEPTABLE. 10 minutes later he still refused. I packed my child back in the car, soaked to the core, and drove 45 minutes home with my child crying "why did this have to happen to me?" I've been coming here for years now and i feel that they need to spruce it up a little. Get some updates. i do like their selection in prizes better than other arcades. They have batting cages, go karts, bumper boats where you can shoot water at eachother, laser tag, rock climbing and the arcade floor. I like Boomers for what it is . . . a place for my kids to run wild, blow off a lot of steam and have a blast -- which is exactly what we did the other night. This is a great big facility . . . pretty well kept clean and organized it seems. There are a great amount of video games, action games, air hockey, and even mini-bowling. We even enjoyed the mini-golf where we played 18 holes. Although the course isn't anything terribly special, they do have a great big waterfall and water hazards (yes, I hit my ball into the water a number of times), but my kids loved it and that's all that mattered. They also have bumper boats with water canons that looked like a blast and even go-karts. They have a small concession stand where you can indulge in simple kid fare (hot dogs, hamburgers, slushies and ice cream), and of course games of chance where you get rewarded with kid currency (i.e. tickets) -- of which my little boy hit the jackpot on in one shot for a total of over 500 tickets. The nice part was it was fairly quiet there as we went in the middle of the week -- even though it was spring break. Note, bring lots of cash (or plastic), as this place is not cheap, but your kid(s) will have a blast. read more

Thank goodness having a good time is all about who you're with and not what you do. So maybe I'm a bit ticked off that there was no A/C in a stuffy, carpeted arcade, in the middle of a hot and humid Florida summer, but honestly, Boomers should know better than to paste a weak apology note on their entrance door and rid themselves of the situation. I was sufficiently soaked before I realized what the issue was. It would have been nice if the staff told us directly as we were checking in. Apparently, the A/C unit they're replacing has to be custom ordered..blah, blah, blah. Still, you owe your patrons a discount on points or perhaps even some complimentary, cold bottled water. Or close down for a few weeks. In this state, Boomers is in no condition for people to go; it should be a health hazard. That aside, the kids made the best of the situation. They most enjoyed bowling, laser tag (it seemed to go by really fast...), and go karts. The games inside were ok. Deal or No Deal was a favorite. They thought the prizes were rips offs, but what else can you expect from an arcade? There's nothing much for kids to do in the area so I guess it's worth it (?). Boomers is kind of a rip off. The prices are the high arcade prices you'd expect, fine, but for that much things should work. Half the games took my credit without giving tickets in return, some games didn't work at all, and a small few worked. I spent 100$ collectively and when I went to cash out, the woman told me "Sorry, it's broken. Give it to someone else." When I asked to talk to a manager she ignored me and I left completely empty handed. I gave my tickets to a kid in hopes that at least they could come back another day. The only part I really liked was the mini-golf. The golfing was full sized, exciting, and well constructed! If only the rest of the arcade gave a crap about their customers. read more

I had my daughters party here today and I was very disappointed. The party host was terrible, she didn't do anything that was included in my package. I had to ask for the goodie bags, cups for the kids and do the tickets thing in the machine. I had 9 kids at the party, she charged me for 10 and didn't give me the tenth card. When I asked for the card, the party coordinator Julie thought I was lying, and had to check all the kids cards to make sure. When she didn't even know how to check it and had me away from my party for 20 minutes, she finally gave me a new card, which she should have done at the beginning. The host literally did nothing and got tipped for being away the entire time. Also, the pizza is awful, no one ate at the party. The only good part were the attractions. read more

Annual pass is a great deal and a no brainer if you can see yourself returning another time or two. My 8 year old really enjoyed himself, although he was disappointed he wasn't tall enough to drive the normal go karts. The smaller karts are for a much younger child, but he still rode them anyway to get experience driving. The facility appeared to be clean and since we went on a Tuesday there weren't too many people there which was a plus. My only complaint was that there weren't enough people working, which meant we had to go find someone to open each ride for us when we wanted to use them. I understand that it was during the week, but for spring breaks occurring I suggest having more attendants. read more

We just had my son's 7th birthday here and it was outstanding. Fabian was our party host and he did a fine job. The room was small but did the job but we only had it for 1 hour. The bigger banquet room was where we migrated to after the birthday boy blew out the candles. The pizza was very cardboard like and needs to be upgraded to at least Little Ceasars quality. We had 4 hours of unlimited go karts, bumper cars, bumper boats, mini golf, rock wall, and juice pitcher refills. The cost to add unlimited "blue" arcade games was $6 a card and we had 10 of them. I spent about $350 here for a 10child party but I feel that it was worth it to see everyone satisfied and full of things to do. We had a blast and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a venue with many options outside of bounce houses and trampolines. read more

My first ever experience here was horrid. I went here with a few of my staff members to bond and wasn't completely happy with my experience. To start, the go karts were not in the best condition! While we raced, our karts stopped multiple times on the track due to technical difficulties. The laser tag employee named Colin was rude and extremely unprofessional. He misgendered one of my coworkers by literally stating "I thought you were a guy so I assumed your gender too" simply because they jokingly said "Are you assuming our age" when we were checking in for laser tag. He didn't even scan our cards for laser tag nor did he give us proper instructions on how to properly play. Whenever we asked him questions he often replied with a slick remark and other problematic things. Overall, my experience here wasn't the best. I wish the employees were a little less harsh and more friendly. Wouldn't recommend. Next time we're gonna try xtreme action park. read more
