This place was recommended by my older brother, I personally don't want to come here ever again. First, it's hard to get in because it's always packed. Only private parties get it easy. Second, it gets very loud in this place even if there is no game playing on the TVs. Me and my brother saw they serve popcorn on request, but it's not on the menu so first timers like myself may not know and miss out if they want some. Third, their menu wasn't that special, except for the pizza. I loved how they cook their pizza in a brick oven. Still, that's not enough to have me come back. Finally, their desserts are also limited and average. I actually don't care for sports or alcohol. The waitress seemed a bit impatient with our table for having a slight hesitation trying to order saying next if you didn't immediately say what you were ordering, I saw atleast 7 roaches in the bathroom and coming out of the kitchen, which completely ruined my appetite. My absolute favorite bar in the area. They have a huge draft selection and waitstaff and bartenders that know it. I'm a big cider person and they always have at least two or three ciders on draft. The pizza is phenomenal and they have lots of good crunchy drunk food. The patio is a great place to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night. The only cautiion I would give is that be ready for a long wait if you go on Friday or Tuesday evening. I go to boondoggles on a regular basis for the atmosphere and the dog friendliness. It also helps that I live right across the street. Not too many places that accept your furry friend like Boondoggles does. With that said, the food is okay. My two favorite dishes are the jambalaya pizza and the buffalo wings. The wings are almost always a bit dry but the sauce is sensational. The sweet tea was good the first time I went there and now it's just awful. There is no way the manager is tasting that tea on a regular basis. Now for the staff - I have been to Boondoggles well over 20 times and have eaten inside, under the patio, and at the bar. No matter what day I go or where I sit, if I get waited on by a girl, they are not attentive, they're pushy, and they are just plain rude. My fiancé and I recently went for lunch the day after Valentine's Day and had a typical (neglectful female waitress) experience. We both ordered sweet teas in hopes of a fresh batch, didn't happen so we both wanted to exchange our drinks but the waitress literally avoided us. Instead, she spent her time catering to 4 clearly inebriated people at the other end of the bar. By the time our food came out, we didn't care about the tea anymore. Our waitress came to us 3 times... Once to give us our drinks, once for the food, and once for the bill. I don't get it. On the other hand, the guys who work at Boondoggles are phenomenal every single time no matter if I'm alone, with a group of friends, or with my fiancé. The guys are the reason I'm giving 3 stars and not two. Keep it up men! read more

This is one of those hidden gems you hear about but never seem to find. Great atmosphere, and food made in their wood-burning ovens tastes spectacular. While they do have television screens, they're up high enough to ignore if you wish. There's lots of parking - the parking lot isn't flat, and the hump makes it look smaller than it rally is; don't be fooled by it. read more

I'm a huge sucker for pubs and tavern related restaurants. This place did not disappoint! I ordered a Chicken Parmesan that came on top of spaghetti while my fiancé had pepperoni pizza. The food is so delicious and huge that we had no problem taking them home for lunch. The biggest pleaser we loved was the fact that dogs are allowed. We have a Blue Pit bull named "Blue" and she was welcomed with arms wide open. They immediately gave her water and bacon to go witty our meal. She even made a Boxer friend named Charlie. Our waitress did everything to make us feel welcome and chatted a bit with us about the pets that she owns as well. Very great job on her part by the way. Nevertheless, it is safe to say we will be returning and become regulars. read more

A friend and I had lunch today at Boondoggles in Seabrook which we do often. We were almost finished with our food when a small kitchen roach crawled from under my friend's plate. We called the waiter over and showed him and he immediately apologized and went to get the manager. She came out and apologized as well and said this. "I'm really sorry we TRY to keep them under control in the summer time". WHAT???? How bout all the other times?? This was NOT an outside roach this was a food roach. They have a great beer selection and with their prices you can even buy a bottle of the good stuff for a special evening. The patio is perfect on a perfect day and the food is delicious. Wow - outstanding food! Pizza was fantastic, chicken fried ribeye was great too, jalapeño hush puppies were a delicious surprise! Would love to comment on the draft beers, but there was a problem with their system and so draft beer was not recommended. Not very happy about that! Service was absolutely average at best and not up to par with the food quality. Server was not very efficient, and lost the opportunity for additional drinks simply from not being observant. Took at least 10 minutes for a single water to be delivered as well. Would definitely visit again for the great food, but would hope for a better server and that draft beer would be available. read more

Whenever I come home to see my parents and friends that i have left behind- we sometimes meet here. the bar is airy, the people are nice and the drinks are cheap. It is also an equal meeting point for people in league city and clear lake, lucky for me my parents moved like down the street! I sort of remember annoying bands there, and i would not say it is anywhere near the coolest decor. It is "newish" as almost every single place in Houston is and it is also "campy" or "woodsy". It was delicious. It was an Amber with very robust citrus flavors. I personally love grapefruit and it left that strong after taste after every dip. This is one of those drink while cold beers.The wings are really good. Very crispy and well seasoned and wet. Some of the best around Houston even if I'm the smaller side. The molten lava cake was THE BOMB. The cake was soooo moist and the chocolate just sweet enough. Not overpowering at all. The key lime was delicious. The filling very mouse like and the flavors robust but not overwhelming. I had a half fajita half pepperoni pizza. The fajita pizza was really good, the pepperoni pizza was a little too greasy but still good overall. I also had the Baja chicken. I found the chicken itself juicy but bland. The mashed potatoes I could not stop eating! Right behind it is a kayak rental with very decent price and also a wine bar you can walk too.
