I would like to give Boondoggles a 2 thumbs up. My fiance and I went there for their Happy Hour and we sat at the bar. It was a fun experience, the food was great. He had the meatball sandwich and I had a chicken pico de gallo sandwhich which was excellent. I like the cozy, cute home town feel of the restaurant. It is one of the best restaurants that we've found in Nassau Bay area. I like the low key, fun atmosphere. We will definitely be going back. read more

Just had brunch here with 13 other ladies. We asked the waitress how much the carafe of mimosas was. She said $14. When our check came we were charged $22. We asked Danielle about it, our waitress and she said the carafe is $18. I then went to the Facebook page and asked for the manager. Nicole came to the table. When I said the website says $14. She said the website hasn't been updated in 5 yrs. I told her that is not our fault and how come the fb page and the waitress said $14. She walked away. I then pulled up the fb page from may 15 where it clearly states $14. Nicole the Mgr told me to get out of her face. Beware of this place. I will never step foot there again. Local staple pub with lots of beers on tap and good pub food. Their claim to fame is a wood-fired pizza oven and the pizzas aren't bad. Plenty of hipster beers available if you get a kick out ordering them with their funny names. "I'll have a monkey's butt IPA"...not my thing. But, they have Guinness on tap so they're ok in my book. Fish and chips are good, and I don't think I've ever ordered anything not good by pub food standards. They do get busy during typical bar-going hours. Parking lot is too small, and used by Boons and two other places. 4-stars for mediocre service at a nice place with good selection and solid food. read more

I haven't been here in years. My wife and I always enjoyed their brick oven pizzas. We stopped going because the cigarette smoke was unbearable. We heard they banned smoking so we went back. Been eating/drinking at this place for about 8 or 9 years. Excellent beer selection, always kick ass pizza baked in a brick oven. Friendly staff, and just overall great place. Wish there were more cool places like this in Clear Lake/Seabrook area, but it makes it a little special being the only one. Only closest thing is Chelsea Wine Bar next door, but probably because it's the same owner. We really like their brunch on Sundays, you should check it out! read more

This place has really gone downhill in the lat few months. Have tried it twice on Friday for the fish tacos special. Same bad experience both times and they used to be my favorite place for then. Ordered 1 fried and one blackened and they arrived grilled. Decided not to send back because I thought I would try as their sauce and toppings have always been fresh. Unfortunately, these were tasteless. So the waitress got the order wrong but didn't punish her because I chose to keep them. Second lunch visit, different waitress, same thing happened. This time, decided to send back but waitress disappeared. Asked another to find her, then she disappeared. After about 10 minutes, was running out of lunch time, ate same boring tacos. Waitress reappeared to bring check. Sorry honey, NO tip...and I rarely do that. I also will have to have a very compelling reason to return! read more

My boyfriend and I live right around the corner and as avid sports fans, new to the area, we stumbled on Boondoggles while trying to find somewhere to watch our Sunday football games. With multiple TVs, sports and games always on, we have turned it into our Sunday, gameday ritual and it has turned into one of our absolute favorite spots! Servers know us by name and engage us directly, while service and food is AMAZING. Beer selection is wonderful, seasonals always rotating. The only reason I am only giving 4 stars is that my experience here is limited to the fish and chips, because it is so good I can't bring myself to order anything else!
