This is where locals come to eat breakfast, and it's one of our favorite stops when we get back to our all-time favorite town. Their omelets are great, as are the bagels, of course. My favorite is the blueberry bagel with their own blueberry cream cheese. Try their blended cream cheeses. You can't go wrong. I love building my own overstuffed sandwich as well. Though their best secret (though it's really not a secret), the one that keeps us coming back again and again, is their home fries. I'm craving me some home fries now. Gotta get back to Boone! It does get crowded at times, but the service is usually pretty fast, and since our great state went non-smoking, the entire place is smoke-free. read more

We arrived this past Saturday morning, at 8:13 am, hoping to enjoy some quick coffee and bagels thinking that we would have no problem being out by 8:55. Well we were wrong. First the place was not that busy and there were at least 3 employees milling around. After being seated, we received menus. We waited a bit and one waitress asked our drink order and said our waitress would be over. Well we waited a long time for the actual waitress to take our order and we were getting nervous it wouldn't make it in time so when we were ordering, we asked for it "to go". She quickly quipped back "for future reference to go orders are to be made at the take out window" then went off. Obviously, to go wasn't in our initial plan and over 30 minutes later our bagels came in baskets not packed to go. We informed the person delivering them that we had asked that our order be made to go and she snapped back that is fine and slammed them down on the counter. We waited again, 5 minutes for the bagels to be packed. I got up to meet them at the "to go" window and saw our waitress who was packing up our bagels. She smartly says "do you want to pay for these now?" well obviously I did it was now 9:00. I have to say in ALL the restaurants we've eaten at in the 2 years my daughter has been at APP state this is the WORST Customer service I've experienced. The people working there were SLOW and rude, just absolutely rude. The minute we asked for our food to go instead of asking our time frame or apologizing, she rudely told us we should have gone to the to go window. I do not think 45 minutes is a reasonable time frame for 4 bagels. The attitude here is terrible and they were NOT busy at all. We won't return. One star is too many. read more

My family andni stopped into this bagwl shop and proceeded to purchase a dozen baglea. The lady who waited on us was overly inpatient while my adult children wwre deciding on what type of bagel they wanted. It was very obvious they were trying to decide and she kept in asking whatelse do you want. A person came in after us while we were ordering and she started talking with her. Went here for breakfast with my boyfriend. He ordered a overstuffed bagelicious bagel-- the bagel was stale and did not have good flavor. Very average. I ordered the stuffed French toast with chocolate chip cream cheese. When our waitress brought our food out, my order was wrong. So she had to take it back. She came back with the thinnest bread(cheap white bread) for French toast and a couple spoonfuls of cream cheese sloppily put on the toast. Overpriced for the quality. You could definitely make this stuff at home- don't waste your money. read more

Very delicious bagels, made daily. Didn't have sandwiches, coffee, anything else... just fresh bagels every day. And they were excellent.

I know this place is known for their bagels but I was so hungry when I got there so I decided to go for something more filling. I ordered the cheese burger because that looked like the most filling thing on the menu and I was starving. I waited 25 minutes for my burger to be done and when I got it I was extremely disappointed. The burger was about half an inch thick and had zero flavor, also it was barely warm. I picked french fries as my side and that was also a disappointment. They were not seasoned at all and were overcooked. I had to drench my burger and fries in ketchup for them to have any flavor. The burger was extremely***** overpriced being over $9. I could have gotten a better burger from WENDYS. Extremely disappointed in my experience there. The workers were also not apologetic at all for the ridiculous 25 minute wait time. Worst $9 I have ever spent. Will not be returning. Also, the staff was very inattentive. I had 3 people look at me in the eye and saw I was waiting to be helped and they didn't tell me "someone would be right with me" and they didn't even smile. read more

Bagel French Toast is amazing! We had a big group and went to their new store on HWY 105, it's really spacious and parking is much easier. The waitress was really nice and I like that they have dishes instead of the paper plates. We will be back! read more

I've never been dissatisfied enough with a restaurant to download an App and write a review in a parking lot, but today is that day unfortunately. I used to love this place, but it hasn't been as good in quality or in service the last couple times I've gone. Today, I went and ordered a bagel and coffee to go. There were two four tops dining in the restaurant and one to go order placed before mine. It took literally 20 minutes to get my bagel, and it was cold. I try to be understanding because I work in the service industry as well, but I don't understand why on earth it would take 20 minutes to hand me a cold bagel. I brought it back and asked for a refund because I didn't have the time to wait 20 more minutes for a warm bagel, the waitress said she'd tell the manager, I heard her do so. The manager ignored me until I approached her, and then caught an attitude when I was telling her what was wrong and asking for a refund. She also assured me that my bagel was toasted on a conveyor belt machine, and being that I've worked in restaurants that have those, yours must either broken or your manager was lying, 'cause that bagel was as cold as the tomato on it. I know it's the last day of the year, your employees are probably exhausted, I get it, I'm a server, but I'd really like to enjoy your restaurant again, so could y'all try to leave the crappy attitudes, ridiculously slow service, and cold bagels in 2017, please? read more

Worst restaurant experience I have had in my 33 years on this earth! We arrived at 10 and the rest of our party arrived at 10:20. We did have a party of 13. We placed our order at 10:25-10:30. Up until this point we received excellent customer service. After our order was taken it was a ghost town at our table as far as service was concerned. The five children that were part of our group were starting to get upset as they were hungry, so at 11:15 one of our party went up to the counter to check on our food since we hadn't seen our waitress since we ordered. They said it was coming right out. By this point we had seen multiple tables get served and leave while we still hadn't received food or even drink refills. As a matter of fact the table right beside us got turned 2 times while we were still waiting. At 11:30 all 13 of us went to walk out. We were met as we were walking out by, surprisingly enough, our food order. So we all sat back down. All of our food was hot somehow, which sounds like they let us all sit while they were serving other customers. Immediately after the food arrived a waitress, not our original one, dropped off our checks "In case we were in a hurry". Really?? Wouldn't have been nearly as upset if we would have seen our waitress or anyone for that matter to check on us in the hour leading up to our foods arrival. I posted this review on Facebook and the response I got was "It was a busy time" even though they were able to immediately seat our large party and "We had no common courtesy for not calling ahead for our large party" I guess we were supposed to ask about the wait time from when we ordered to when we received he food. We are not accustomed to having to ask these types of questions at every other restaurant we have ever dined in. I understand we are a party of 13 but there were more than 13 other customers served while we were waiting for our food. If they are not capable of serving large parties in a timely manner they should inform the parties when they arrive instead of seating them. Please read the other reviews of this establishment before you dine there. The reviews are chocked full of long wait times and waitresses that disappear at both of their locations. Most of the responses to the reviews include "It was a busy time". Seems to me like "It was a busy time" is a crutch for any kind of customer complaint. Maybe they should hire some more help to take care of the customers so they don't receive these complaints / bad reviews if they really cared what people thought. I've been to Boone Bagelry several times over the years, and with each trip I have had a worse and worse experience until this last time. I will not be coming back, I don't think. The bagels range from okay to dry, bland, like bagged grocery store bakery bagels. They have many flavors but each one is blander than the last. Oddly enough the plain ones are some of the best? The french toast is barely french, I like the sausage, but the bacon is always cooked to death. This last trip there, there was a dead fly in my scrambled eggs and when I brought it up to the kitchen to see about getting another (I don't mind the fly, in all honesty, you can't prevent that sort of thing from happening once in awhile. I worked in a kitchen and it was always mortifying when something like that happened to us), and the young woman working the cash register who I've seen there before (Natalie?) was exceptionally rude to me. I don't say "yelling" in the sense that she was unkind, but she raised her voice and said the fly must have gotten in the eggs after it was given to me and that she was not going to give me a replacement or a refund on the item. As I left she was yelling at a young bewildered waitress about the fly, which is odd because it got there AFTER she gave it to me, right? I tipped the poor waitress just trying to do her job, but I left without eating any of the food. This is most certainly a place I will never ever ever go to again. read more
