After a few more minutes, I overhear conversation between that rep and new customer. Rep having trouble explaining to customer that what customer claims does not match account. They went over the items on the account and costs. I soon realized these two were viewing MY account and discussing terms of what my account consists of. Obviously, the rep had not verified account info with the new customer nor had he cleared the ipad and accessed that customer's account. Brainless! To top it off, once I got home to review my account, I saw that the rep at the store had added a service plan for wife's new phone--we did not request that. Each encounter with this T-Mobile store (5122 Yelm Hwy SE Suite A, Lacey, WA 98503) is a freakin' nightmare.

They also gave me credit for donation my old cell phone. My only con: I wish there had been more active floor models to sample. How there theft works is, say you pre pay $120 on your pay in advance account and your monthly bill is $60. You change carriers and there is $60 still pre paid on your account. They do not refund the $60 back to the original payment method, they keep it. Verizon acts so unaware this is happening.

I've had to bring my beloved laptop in for maintenance a few times now (keyboard needed to be fully…read morereplaced the first time, the second time was last week to wipe some malware off of it) and both times I've had my case handled by the same guy, TJ! Not only did both cases get handled superbly, but he offered regular check-ins about the process while asking about anything I forgot to mention to be sure he had the full picture, and he was more than happy to explain what he was doing and why (which I always find very fun!). The keyboard replacement was $125 and the malware wipe was $175--the original estimate I'd gotten for the malware wipe was much higher, but he handled everything like the pro he is and got my laptop back to me as quick as he could. I've also sent a phone in to be repaired, and while unfortunately it couldn't be saved even with part replacements ("catastrophic internal failure" type stuff), he DID try as many things as he could think of to try to get it working again which I am incredibly grateful for. He also put me on the path to people who might be able to extract my data despite the state of my phone! This whole deal was $87. This shop is thorough in their work and the workplace has the kind of vibe you get when the people working there actually enjoy it. Definitely the kind of place I'd ACTUALLY recommend to friends and family, not just saying so on the non-existent exit questionnaire. You'll be in good hands here--even if they can't fix it, they'll still point you in the right direction.

He worked on it for about 5 minutes and could not get it to work. Then he said he would try something, sometime later he had it back working like it was before. I asked to pay for it and TJ said No Charge. For TJ and all the other people that I talked to them there I give them TEN STARS.

I had to call my current carrier to ask them to release my number. Bring some water in case you get thirsty. They didn't install the Sim card in my phone just sent me on my way without clear instructions about when to install it. The rep also did not tell me no refunds on a prepaid service if my number failed to port. They didn't even tell me that when I was handed a receipt there is no refund. Not impressed with their vague customer service. Not impressed with T mobile. There is definitely room for improvement.
