I came in because my phone was stuck in SOS mode and I was unable to make calls or send messages…read more My phone stated it needed a Puk code that could only be given to me by Verizon. The worker in the store couldn't help me, so they called customer service and had me wait on hold for a representative. I was on hold for an hour before a rep finally came on the line. I then spent another 30 minutes with him trying to figure out how to get my phone out of SOS mode. No one seemed to be able to give me the elusive Puk code or get my phone working. He then stated he would need to escalate the call and would transfer me to another department. I figured he was going to warm transfer me to human. Nope. I was just placed back on hold again to wait for who knows how long. At this point I'd been there for over an hour and a half and my phone still wasn't working. I was not about to wait for another hour, so I just decided to upgrade my phone. I really didn't want or need a new phone; but that was my only option at this point, if I wanted a working phone. I declined the insurance multiple times. They told me they'd give me a month for free, which I also declined. A couple days later I decide to check my account to see what my new total monthly payment will be and there is two additional services that were added to my plan. The insurance coverage, that I specifically did not want, and an upgrade on my hotspot data allowance. Both of these services I never authorized or requested be added to my plan. This seems to be a common occurrence with Verizon. The main things you should take from all this is to (a) hope your phone never goes into SOS mode because no one will be able to help you; and (b) if you make any upgrades or changes in the store, make sure you check your account when you get home. I'm about 90% sure you'll have unauthorized additional services added to your plan.

BAI Connect took my condo building's business, then refused to upgrade us…read more My condo building got fiber internet installed with BAI Connect instead of one of the big companies like Frontier or AT&T when it was built. However, BAI only put in wires for 300/300 up and down even though it is fiber. When I moved in, I connected with BAI over email in hopes they would come resolve this. I offered them a commitment from our HOA/residents for a certain amount of signups and would have happily advertised their services to the residents over other options like spectrum. And to their credit, they were responsive at first. They even sent a tech to our building to assess. However, after this tech came, I never heard from them again. Months passed and no response, even after I followed up multiple times. My building is now taken hostage by BAI because other fiber companies won't route fiber to our building since they are here, but they won't give us gig speeds. This harms our building's value and our resident's internet experience and options. Spectrum charges us more money because they don't have any competition. I would be happy to and will change this review if someone from BAI explains to me why they can't bring us to the modern age of fiber internet. Until then I feel sad that our building is being taken advantage of.
