Had an expensive cleaning and ignitor replacement several months ago. Do not use my grill often and since the cleaning grill does not get hot. Yesterday ignitor not working as well. With hand lighting the grill it did not produce enough heat to cook for Super Bowl guests. For a service call for first hour of work to come back out they want $260! For grill work! I am so disappointed with this company. Last year they did a fine job. This year the left grease stains on my patio stone. They would not return my attempts to get them to look at the problem. They also sent me two late payment notices so far when we had paid them by check the day of service. I don't know if this is new management or they have got so many reviews they just don't care. Dude!!! These guys deserve 10 gazillion stars. I had been searching all around the metroplex for a company that would simply replace my natural gas post grill (can you say retro, anyone?) with a newer NG post grill. I was referred to many plumbers who simply said, "No Way, Jose!" due to the fact that my old copper line was something they weren't going to touch. Um, ok. The other guys who would come and do it wanted my first born child and my right arm--hence way too much money-- to complete the job. I finally found Borchardt's, and I am so glad I did! They came right on schedule, were super reasonable (less than half of their competitors, and I could keep my baby) and were out of my backyard (love y'all, but ya got to GO!) within an hour and a half. They did not leave until I was 110% satisfied with their installation, and they took the time to have a personal conversation with me about grilling and other gassy topics! I called several gas grill repair and cleaning companies and Borchardt's was the only company that returned my call. They sent a team of 2 out two days after we spoke so I was thrilled with their quick service. I'm having a pool party on Saturday & needed the grill. It looks close to new again. They also fixed a two burner cook top next to the grill that hasn't worked since it was installed. I just never contacted the company that did our outdoor kitchen. They took care of my needs and I'm completely satisfied with their work. They also do gas fire pit service. I will only use Borchardt's for all future gas grill needs. UPDATE: They're quite expensive. We could've bought a new grill for what we paid to have ours cleaned. Not sure if it's less expensive if we do maintenance cleaning or if it's always going to be ALMOST $600 TO CLEAN AND DO MINOR REPAIRS. read more

We moved into a home that featured a very high end DCS built-in stainless grill, which was unfortunately in a state of disrepair (broken ignitors, burner-to-burner failures, etc.) I dreaded calling in a "Licensed DCS Technician" (as recommended in the manual) due to their universally poor reviews on the web, and instead went with freelance Borchardt's, as it appeared (at least, on their website) that Jonathan's diverse experience would be up to the task. Jonathan was responsive to my email inquiry, called to make an appointment, and showed up exactly on time (not requesting some 4-hour window.) He immediately got to work, and in no time at all, he had the grill working as-new, and had cleaned it (and the surrounding area) to steak-ready condition (in fact, filets were sizzling an hour after he left.) Best of all, the bill was extremely reasonable...so much so that I would not hesitate to have Jonathan rehabilitate even much more moderately priced grills, if his opinion was that it was feasible. This guy "gets it" and much like finding a competent plumber or electrician, having a go-to "Grill-guy" a phone call away is a great asset. read more

These guys are outstanding. It's hard to find people who can fix your gas lights or deep clean your grill. They did both really well. They arrived at their appointed time in a company vehicle. They put down tarps to avoid making a mess on our stained concrete floors while steam cleaning the grill grates. They got all four gas lights working.
