Food was good. Ham croquetas were warm and crunchy, the Cuban pop tart was warm and crispy filled with guava and cream cheese. The Monkey bread was stale and tasted like yesterday's menu, not fresh. The Arroz con Leche was very watery. The worst Cuban toast, extremely flatten, you couldn't separate the slices, the butter unsalted, tasted like oil. Loved this new hip Cuban spot decorated with apes, the place has alot of parking and easy to find, the staff is friendly, they have an easy self ordering system which helps maintain the line short. My absolute favorite thing was the guava & cheese poptart, so flaky and tasteful, very similar to a pastellito, I also tried the breakfast Sandwich on a croissant, with American cheese, eggs and bacon. I didn't come in with high expectations. As a miami local I'm hardly wowed by a bakery but this was so much more. We came in hungry so got the Smash Burger and the Pixa Vaca Frita. The smash burger was like a Cuban frita and did not miss! Let me just say every bite hit. The people at the counter were very nice and friendly and the overall ambiance was cool! I walked in and walked up to the counter to place my order. There are 3 girls who were kind at first. I asked for a menu, and the lead shift girl said, "sir, you need to turn around go to the beginning of the line and digitally choose your food at the kiosk (self order). I did that, then I returned to them to pay for it and they said no sir you need to go back to that kiosk and pay for it. I said "Im using a Ccard, i'll just pay for it via the register in front of you. I was literally the only person in there. Not another soul. eventually she obliged, I payed and then said she'll "call me when the order is ready". After sitting down she called my name I picked it up (self pick-up). I Sat down and ate. Barely any between two large panini buns. in summary, I checked my own food out, made my own choices was told to go back to pay for it (until I put my foot down). and then I went and picked up my own food. All this self service and the Kiosk has the audacity to ask for a 18-25% tip for 3 employees who aren't doing anything..literally. I tip 30% always but WTH kind of business model is this!!! Inside looks cool but seating is limited so they have the perfect solution... go next door to our sister joint and sit anywhere you'd like! The Bored Cuban is indeed boring. The ambiance was dull, and even the staff seemed unenthusiastic. Despite the buzz on social media, my expectations were crushed on entry. When I inquired about their specialties, the response was underwhelming, with the girl at the register dismissing everything as "basic."  So I decided to ask what was most popular. The girl then said the Cuban sandwich and pizza were the most popular.  So I decided to try the pizza. But she then responded they didnt have pizza at the moment, leaving me to settle for a bowl and a dessert called monkey bread. The monkey bread was advertised as a big deal so I decided to try that while I waited for my food. The monkeybread tasted like a cheap Cinnamon bun. But im happy I got it so i would have straved to death while waiting. I also realized the clerk had typed our names... James and John as Jasmin and Yon so it was difficult to know which order was mine. I then proceeded to wait for the next 25 minutes with no sense of urgency from the manager despite complaints from others. Finally after 25-30 mins I brought my food back to my table. While the chicken bowl had some redeeming qualities, it hardly justified the lengthy wait. My companion's egg sandwich was a flavorless disappointment, left mostly uneaten. Overall, the experience fell far short of what was promised, and I have no intention of returning. For quick Cuban fare or a satisfying meal, I'd recommend the parent company Latin Cafe for superior quality without the overhyped letdown read more

The Bored Cuban was definitely a great spot. I believe its target audience is the younger demographic due to its colorful and modern decor. (Wouldn't bring my cuban grandfather here lol) Also, I have no complaints about the service because the ladies working that evening were very communicative about my order. We ordered the Vaca Frita "Pixa" and it was so deliciously packed with flavor that by the time I blinked the entire pixa was gone. We also tried the cuban pop tart and the monkey bread which is best when warm (try not to let them get room temp.) I wanted to try a fun drink so I ordered the guava lemonade and it was very refreshing. I will definitely be coming back to try other items on their menu. read more

Had lunch here twice and overall a good experience on both occasions. Ambiance is cool, clean and service was good. The chocolate croissant, cafe mocha milkshake and tart were great would definitely recommend. All tasted freshly made and flavorful. I walked to this place from my hotel and probably should have kept walking. The place was empty & it took about 20 minutes to get my Cuban sandwich. It was probably the worst Cuban I have ever had. The whole thing, including the pork, was really dry. The sandwich wasn't pressed and there were no pickles or mustard on it. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but it was a waste of $25. read more

I had higher expectations after seeing all the publicity on instagram. I ordered 2 "smash burgers" a hot honey pizza and a flan. The flan is basically outsourced and nothing out of the ordinary, the pizza was solid but the burgers.... The burgers were a huge disappointment. On their website it states the burgers are a mix of beef and pork. When we received them, it tasted like a burnt chorizo on Cuban bread. Patties were thick, unlike a smash burger. I might go back to try another pizza but still very disappointed as the design and advertisements are great. read more
