Probably my favorite pizza in the city. This location is convenient if you live in the Worthington area and there is always plenty of parking available. I've tried a few different pizzas here but I always come back to a simple cheese or pepperoni. The slices are pretty legit New York style and have a good amount of fold to them. The dough is cooked perfectly. Not too floppy and not too crisp. And it has a great sweetness to it which compliments the sweetness of the tomatoes in the sauce. My husband and I were meeting 3 friends last night for dinner and when he told me they wanted to go to Borgata's new location, boy! Was I excited! It's the 4th time we've been to that location and we've enjoyed it each time. The decor has a nice, kind of a rustic Tuscan vibe. Plenty of tables and a really nice large patio area that's available during the warmer months. There's a nice long bar as you walk in and it offers a full bar service. As we looked over the menu, we both decided to try something different than our usual choice of their amazing pizza and salad. We always split one of their house salads and get their house made Italian dressing. It's so fresh and full of herbs! So tasty so of course we ordered that first. We also split a child's portion of gnocchi with Alfredo sauce which is also house made. In fact all of their pasta and all of their sauces are made in house. Then I had the appetizer of 3 house made meatballs topped with marinara & melted mozzarella cheese. It was served with some baked Italian bread. It was very good and quite saucy, just the way I like it! My husband had the appetizer portion of the spicy sausage stuffed peppers. I had a bite and the sausage was really good, not too spicy but with a little kick, but those cubanelle peppers!! Wow! Now they have a whole lotta kick! They had a nice bit of sauce on them too. Everything was so good and the portions were generous enough that I even brought some leftovers home! Our server was very attentive and got everything right on all of our orders, even our special requests. A few minutes after our food was served, Ed, the owner came over and checked to make sure everything was as we ordered. We all assured him everything was perfect. Borgata has been on my list of must-try pizza restaurants for a while now and I finally went with my friend for dinner on a Friday night. We arrived and the restaurant was packed so we decided to wait for two seats at the bar. We both quickly noticed that the restaurant (or maybe just the bar) was not adequately staffed for a Friday night. The poor woman working the bar was visibly stressed out and it took a while before she had time to take our order. The slow service was definitely not her fault as we noticed she was doing a million different jobs at once. We decided to share an order of the garlic bread with cheese and a supreme pizza (sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper, onion, and mozzarella cheese). The garlic bread order was HUGE but delicious. When the pizza finally came out (it took roughly one hour), we were both not very impressed. I think there were way too many toppings on the supreme pizza which made the crust too moist and and flimsy. I was definitely not impressed BUT I will say that the other pizzas I saw with fewer toppings looked much better than ours. If I were to return, I would definitely order different toppings to see if it made a difference. read more

Pasta dishes are massive! If you are hungry this is the place for you! Some of their pasta is even made in house! Pizza is also great, just don't order it when they are busy because they will sometimes undercook it. Haven't tried their subs yet but, judging by the size of bread that they use for everything else they are probably also gigantic. Staff are friendly and service is quick even when all the seats are taken (most weekends between 5 and 7) Overall would recommend, as long as you come at a weird time so they aren't busy. read more

Cool place for a date night or an off-the-cuff, subtle dinner. I really enjoyed the feel of this place. We saw all different parties in this restaurant (families, dates, sports crews). It has an open floor plan that includes the bar, dining, and kitchen-view seating. Additionally, our service/server was great. She had a perfect cadence with us and the food came out like clockwork! The food was about average. The meatball appetizer was good, but didn't stand out in flavor. The Borgata Bistro Marghertia pizza (fresh mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes and fresh basil) was a tad disappointing. The bread/dough was really quite incredible from a taste and consistency standpoint. However, there was A LOT OF BREAD. For a 16" pizza, only about 8" were actual pizza toppings. Would I go out of my way to go back here? Probably not. If I was in the area, would I give a sub a chance? Yes, probably. Overall, not the best product, but a solid experience. read more

Horrible take out service. Waited an additional 20 minutes in store for my pizza as it sat on the shelf in the kitchen and was used as a table to hold in-restaurant order plates. I used to like their pizza but no more. Their pizza is billed as ny pizza but it is bad and more like Domino's. I called and was told they still make it the same way but it does not seem to be the same at all. Unedible. Could not eat it. Solid NY style pizza. I ordered a cheese pizza and pepperoni one too with an extra side of sauce. Pizza came out straight from the oven. The crust is flavorful and there are plenty of toppings and cheese. I only ate the cheese pizza, and it was nice to have a slice that actually had flavor. Most cheese pizza is bland, but this cheese pizza is great. The guys at the counter are super helpful and very nice. They brought my pizza to my car. The only downside is that this place off so far from my house, but I'm definitely going back. read more

We ordered our pizza at 6:45pm. We showed up at 7:25pm based on the email we received. Shortly thereafter, the email said 7:45pm so we waited. at 7:45pm, we went in the get the food and we're told that the order was never received, despite having email confirmation. We waited 45 minutes and still did not receive the food. We sat AT the restaurant with very little to no communication about our order. Finally at 8:35pm, we received PART of our order. We were told we would get a complete refund, but we did not received a complete refund through the app "slice." We are reasonable people and understand restaurants get busy. Not very impressed with the white pizza here. I ordered delivery and I'll give them an A+ for how quickly it arrived. However the pizza was a little undercooked and lacked any flavor other than ricotta. I expected some garlic or saltiness but it was so bland. I ended up doctoring it up at home with some extras. Kind of a waste of $23 for a 16 inch pie. I don't much appreciate pizza from chains but I swear Mellow Mushroom makes a way better white pizza than Borgata. read more

If I could leave a zero I would. I placed an online order through Slice to be ready at 6:40pm. I came at 7:10pm and it was not ready and there was no ETA. I asked them to cancel the order since it was 30 minutes past the time. The lady behind the bar was extremely rude and said I had to work with Slice, so I left. I called Slice and they said I had to call Borgata. I called Borgata and spoke with BRENT, the general manager and he was worse, unprofessional, and extremely rude. He refused to give a refund even though they did not finish the order. Stay far away from Borgata and this terrible service. read more

I love this place. I like their pizza better than any pizza chain. I also like their wings better than any wing chain. They also have some pretty nice desserts and homemade pasta that are better than you would expect for a place that primarily serves pizza. Ok, Borgata is good. Their pizza and food is good. But this place needs a total overhaul of staff. We were one table of 2 tables in the place and there were at least 10 staff in there. We waited 10 minutes until we got our drinks, which was mainly water. Then we ordered appetizers, which took literally 40 minutes to get to our table. One of the 3 appetizers we ordered was missed. My sons dinner salad came out 10 minutes before the appetizer. He was done before any of us had anything. Pizza came at around the 45th minute. To top it all off, we had thought the place closed at 11 as posted, but they decided it was time to close when we were there because they put 80% of the chairs up and rolled out the mop bucket. It just felt like the staff wanted us to leave. As I said, the pizza was good and the calzone looks very good but we took it home. But the service here needs a lot of work. I would love to give this place more stars for the food, but the service and rush to get out even though everything took forever to get makes this place deserve the minimum stars. read more

We have had this pizza before and wanted to re-visit after trying a few other local places. It was a Friday night, dinner time, so I understand having to wait. It had been 45 minutes since I ordered and the manager said it would be an extra 15 minutes so I waited in the front. During the actual 25 minutes I waited there, chaos erupted. Tickets were unfulfilled. At least 7 Customers including myself were waiting for their orders. One mom and her daughter were given a refund. Another customer was complaining of the lengthy wait when the girl at the counter started raising her voice telling him to go. He asked to speak with management and she told him "no one else here will talk to you." He was screaming. She was screaming. He left without any food or resolution. It was uncomfortable to say the least. After all that stress, pizza was average. Needless to say we will not be returning any time soon... read more

Pros: Food. We really like the pizza. We ordered the Supreme and thought it had generous toppings. We loved the crust. Not too thin, not too thick. Tasted very fresh. We had side salads with their homemade balsamic and raspberry balsamic dressings which we liked. Cons: it's confusing when you walk in as it's unclear what to do. They either need someone to seat you (strongly recommended) or a sign that says "seat yourself" (and then make sure staff takes note and waits on the customers promptly). It was only the 2nd day working for our waitress. She did a good job. She checked in with us frequently. The bar, on the other hand, needs work. I ordered a draft and the waitress kept coming to tell me the bar didn't have it ready yet. Our pizza was delivered and still no beer. So I went to the bar as there were 3 employees standing behind it. I was told they did have the order and it would be coming. ?!? At which point. I said 'forget it' and I just drank tap water. Still don't understand what is so difficult about pouring one beer. The place is not that huge do they weren't bombarded with a zillion orders at once. We didn't like the ambiance. Very noise. It's really not that big so there's not a huge number of people. But their design did nothing to cushion the sound at all. As other reviews have noted, there are many inefficiencies with the staff. Absolute mixed feelings. There are definitely wrinkles and kinks to be worked out as a new opening and it is really exciting to see Borgata join the area. But there were really "bad taste in the mouth" that had nothing to do with a new operation. We watched 4 separate full tables leave as they sat down and were completely ignored for.... well, until they left. 5 - 6 different waiters were in and out of the space, delivering food, drinks, checks, sometimes right next to the tables where people left. There was zero acknowledgement. Customers are absolutely understanding of a new operation. All it takes is a simple "sorry for the wait, we'll be right with you", and you'd be surprised at how much more time that buys you. We would have left too if it wasn't for a waiter that was just delivering a drink from the bar noticing that we were also being ignored and took our order. There were also painful inefficiencies as we watch waiters with very obvious attitudes of "that's not my job" as each person came out to the area to do one thing and ONE THING ONLY. Pizza was good. Let's get this out of the way first. The only reason this wonderful place doesn't get five stars is because my bruschetta was a bit crisp and I struggled to bite through. But the flavor was beyond worth it. I had the Margharita pizza and it was sublime. I would have loved to have had the option of a dipping sauce for the crust. As it was, though, it was delicious! Everything is made in house. Fresh is a mandate they follow very well. It is clean. The bathrooms are large and clean, though the changing table is rather awkwardly placed. This is a fantastic place. Being from NYC, you could say i'm a self proclaimed pizza snob. that being said, I have been on a quest to find the best pizza In Columbus, and even though i haven't tried a majority of the spots, I must say this has been my favorite so far. we were sat on a busy saturday night, so i was expecting a long wait for my pizza. Thankfully the wait wasn't too painful and our pizza came out within a reasonable time. the dough: it really stood out amongst most other pizzas i've had in columbus in that it had a flavorful and well textured crust. It did not taste watery or stale, and complimented the rest of the pizza well. The only complaint i had with the pizza is the way it was tossed- it seemed very unevenly tossed with an abundance of air bubbles throughout. also the cheese/sauce/toppings were not dispersed evenly and the crust was thicker and doughier in some places than others. I took off a star for that. The sauce was very well prepared- clearly not from a can or jar as it did not have that overly acidic taste. the cheese was tasty and had good flavor. all of the toppings tasted of good quality and were generously dispersed. Not as good as original location. Bottom line. The NY style pizza was way too thin. Borgata is supposed to be Brooklyn Pizza. This was closer to thin crust Cbus pizza. It's supposed to be hand tossed and have more bread to the dough. We were very disappointed to visit the new location. Salads were still good as were the deserts. Drinks were OK, not a great pour, not a bad pour. Go to the original location. Way better but just beer for alcohol. read more
