Lovely inside, but the current staff is horrible at service. Had to remind them about my carrot cake after walking around and waiting with no one else there. And the staff was having heated arguments without bothering to hide it which made for some light entertainment lol. Big menu available and plenty to look at inside. Quiet music. Book stand. Newspapers and local crafts for sale. Food is ok. I'd come back again for a relaxing time in this cute town, or another chuckle at the staff's behavior.

Pork Roll, egg and cheese on an everything egg bagel / salt, pepper + ketchup

Yummy food and atmosphere that's just as great. I went conservative with a pork roll egg and cheese on an everything egg bagel. It was very good and I'd get it again for sure but would probably try something more Boro Bean specific because of the quality of their food. We hung out here for over 2 hours eatting food, hanging out and enjoying our coffee with no feeling of being rushed out. Plenty of outdoor seating with quality tables and umbrellas etc. We'll be back!

I found this place by accident and glad I did. They have a great menu selection for breakfast and lunch. They even had bake goods. I tried the provolone turkey panini and it was delicious, it was a good portion. I tried their pistachio latte and it was good, they have oat and almond milk alternatives. They have WiFi which is nice if you work on the road like myself. The ambiance is very relax and cozy. They have seating inside and outside which is nice. Street parking is available.

Best breakfast ever! The food is good and fresh! The avocado toast and campesino is so delicious! Nice folks! Very kind and the staff too They are a wonderful team !

Update from a few years ago... new owners, new menu, brighter interior, wifi always available, open until 3pm with new evening summer hours (Th, Fri, Sat, 6-9pm), new dessert case, see photo!

Zucchini and Asiago panini with spinach and artichoke spread. It comes with a side- I picked bean salad

Boro Bean was very busy on Sunday at lunchtime, but the moist homemade muffins were well worth the wait! It's very hard to read boro their chalkboard menus, but I was able to pick out a zucchini Asiago panini with spinach and artichoke spread. It was perfectly grilled to a crisp and served with a bean salad or potato chips. I also got a honey almond muffin which was crunchy on the top but soft and moist in the middle. I have to say that someone else in my group got a Heath bar muffin and he wasn't a fan, found it a bit dry. In terms of seating, there are a number of tables outside as well as a couple of heaters. It's a quality spot for a pastry or bite with a nice hot drink!

Outstanding lunch today! Had the Avocado Salad, it was loaded with Tomatoes, HB Eggs, Tunafish, some veggies, plenty of Lettuce, could barely finish it! They have a home-made salad dressing too that Rocked! She had Chicken Quesadilla. We plan to return!

Has been my refuge for whenever I need to work and take calls in the Hopewell area. Excellent staff and fabulous food.... Natural and fresh with vegetarian options as well.

Breakfast! Egg, cheese, tomato and lettuce panini and waffles for him!

Excellent place and great breakfast sandwich. Only reason it's 4 stars and not 5 is that $4.00 for 3 slices of bacon is WILD.

We often have odd dining experiences, from our first date 20 years ago to last month. This is my second time at Boro, my wife has been there a couple more times. What sets this restaurant apart is not just the food, but the service. Genuine smiles when we arrived and left. We were sat next to a couple with 4 kids. Not a big deal for us as we have two. The kids were great. As they were leaving, only 15 minutes after we sat, our server said they paid for our first round. It was such a nice gesture even though they were no problem to us. Ok, the food and drinks. I've been hooked on this cocktail recently, a Paper Plane. I asked if they could make it and they sure could. It requires one specific brand of Italian spirit so I was really impressed. My wife had a cool cosmo with white cranberry juice and elderflower liqueur. The reason I will come here for one thing and one thing only is their Crispy Chicken Appetizer. It's everything that you ever wanted sesame General Tso's chicken to be, and more! Just enough so that you'll lick the bowl clean and order some to go...I did. The lobster risotto and chicken we had for entrees were fantastic. My second drink was a seasonally warm take on an old fashioned that was served with a flaming sugar cube and had me saying mmmm after every sip. The Zeppoles....theyre gluten free!! My wife loses her mind over these every time. Well done, Boro. I can't wait to come back.

We started by ordering the crispy chicken, and I ordered a drink from the bar. The crispy chicken was the highlight of the night--very flavorful. The drink arrived 15 minutes after ordering, when we were halfway through the appetizer. I could see the bartender moving slowly, and I heard other patrons complaining about the wait time. It happens, and if the rest of the experience was good, I wouldn't have even remembered that. Our waitress brought us some bread, which was a bit stale, but the butter was fantastic. Our main courses were very average--I had the grilled branzino, which is a simple dish but just lacked flavor or anything to make it stand out. My husband ordered the short rib pappardelle, and the pasta itself was good. The sauce was very, very heavy due to too much truffle. By the time we finished eating, we were fully sweating because the restaurant was so hot. It was a very hot day, and maybe the air-conditioning was not working. Again, forgivable, but on top of everything else, it made for an unpleasant experience. Overall, it felt overpriced for the food and service.

Everything was cooked to perfection, and the flavors came together beautifully. It's one of those dishes you instantly know you'll come back for again and again. The greens on the side were fresh and complemented it really well. My wife had the mushroom + Gruyère omelette with shallots and garlic, served with sweet potatoes -- and she absolutely loved it. She's already a fan of anything with mushrooms, but this one, with the Gruyère, took it to another level. It really hit the spot. And the coffee -- freshly brewed and full of flavor -- was the perfect finish. What truly stood out was the serving staff -- warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. They made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. Warm, cozy vibe, great food, and definitely a place we'll be returning to!

There's not a ton of seating inside- it's first come first serve. You pretty much just order at the counter and they will bring it to you if you have a seat or they'll hand it to you at the front. A waitress there was nice enough to separate a big table so we could have a table for two. We got the chicken pesto sandwich and the turkey club and I got the Blawenburg latte with mocha and coconut foam. I've never had a latte with coconut foam so I wasn't sure how it would taste but it was really good! It's not a super strong coconut flavor. The chicken pesto sandwich was really good but kept falling apart since it's on a croissant. I think it would've been better on sourdough. My favorite part was the truffle kettle chips- they were SO good and addicting. Would definitely come back here to try some other items especially the bakery stuff.

It has a rustic farmhouse feel (wood floors with wide boards, multiple fireplaces) but still comes across as more upscale than your typical tavern. The dining room has a warm atmosphere without being too loud, so you can actually have a conversation without shouting. We started with the seasonal pickle plate (beets, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, fennel, olives) and the bread plate (three different breads with two different butters and olive oil). Both were a good way to kick things off. The pickled vegetables had a nice variety and the bread was fresh and paired well with the accompaniments. For our entrees, my wife went with the homemade pasta while I chose the Wagyu NY strip steak cooked medium rare with bourbon maple glazed root vegetables. The steak was cooked exactly as requested and had great flavor. The root vegetables added a nice sweetness that complemented the dish well. My wife really enjoyed her pasta and had enough to take some home. To finish the night, we had the mozzarella gelato (yes, you read that right - mozzarella), along with tea for my wife and coffee and Sambuca for me. The gelato was a unique dessert and a nice way to wrap up the meal. Our waitress Jemma was very friendly and attentive throughout the night without being overbearing. Overall, everything was very good. This is definitely a place we would return to, especially for a nice dinner out.
