    Daily Salumi

My company picked this spot for a work dinner during JP Morgan conference week (downtown was insanely packed). It was easy to find street parking and not crowded inside at all! They share a building with the Airbnb office, which means you go into their lobby to use the bathroom lol. We booked their private room for our party of 15 and we had a food and beverage minimum, but here's what we selected with their price points: Daily Salumi ($29): Your standard cheese plate but with the addition of chicken liver pate, which was wonderful with the sourdough tigelle (like a softer English muffin). Octopus Carpaccio ($24): This was nice but I would skip this compared to the other apps we ordered! Crispy Calamari ($19): I really enjoyed both dipping sauces, the saffron aioli and puttanesca sauce. Bosco Caesar ($21): I thought this was a typical Caesar salad until I tasted the anchovies! Stellar combo. Ricotta Meatballs ($18): The crispy polenta was the star, we ate all of them lol Cacio e Pepe ($21): All their pastas were al dente, if you care. This was a classic, no complaints. Gramigna Bolognese ($25): I liked the pork and beef ragu! I was surprised by the smokiness of the pancetta and prosciutto; I don't think I'd prefer it in my bolognese but it wasn't bad. Smoked Potato Polpette ($13): This was disguised as meatballs so everyone was thrown off when they cut into it lol. I would pass on this next time for any of the other veggie dishes. NZ Swordfish ($38): I liked this! Especially smeared with potato :) Pork Ribs Agrodolce ($39): I know we were technically in a professional setting but everyone used their hands! The sauce was excellent. Lemon Meringue Tart ($15): The bite of the lemon with the toasted meringue was ELITE. Chocolate Tiramisu ($14): This was surprisingly not a hot item across the table. I think I would've been more interested in the ginger panna cotta ($15). Drinks-wise we had delightful Chardonnay I don't remember the name of and the Seven Fingers cocktail ($18) which was fruity and citrusy. Service was lovely and SO quick with refilling wine and clearing plates (and providing clean plates twice!). Thank you for your hospitality!

This used to be a Spanish restaurant and is now serving Italian cuisine. A Large and but warm, and trendy ambience with attentive services. IWe ordered the Foccacia, fried squids, I had the seafood stew and hubby ordered fish. The best dish was the seafood stew. Everything else was good but I don't think it was exceptional. If you are in the area it is a nice place to grab a bite or drinks. We enjoyed it, overall a 3.5 star for food. 4 stars for service and ambience.

I came for a work dinner and we decided to do family style. I don't recommend this unless you order multiple items. The portions are very small. My favorites were the calamari, gnocchi, cacio de Pepe, and arancini balls. The porterhouse steak was also VERY good but a few slices were pretty rare. The desserts fell flat for me. The rum cake had too much rums I didn't like the flavor of the lemon tiramisu and the rice pouring was strange. Overall, great place for dinner but I would skip dessert.

Located right next to Airbnb, this new Italian restaurant replaced Belotta. Found it from eater when researching where to take my wife for pre valentines dinner. Reservations were easily available online. We ordered the calamari, two pastas, shared a main dish and dessert. Everything was delicious, especially the pastas! The service was very attentive, but maybe a little too much on the check-ins. Regardless they were friendly and warm. Wife was happy and so was I!

I came here for a large party birthday dinner (11 people) and we were able to try almost everything on the menu. Quite honestly, none of the dishes stood out to me but they were all good enough to enjoy a nice meal with great company. I was really excited to try the buckwheat soba but it was pretty dry and lacked flavor. Perhaps the most surprising dish was the lemon spaghetti, it was a refreshing twist and went well with the more savory dishes like the ribeye.

This place replaces Bellota, a Spanish tapas place that was incredibly good with a great bar and drink selection. So I was excited to try this place out when I heard it replaced it The interior and vibes when you enter are great -- great atmosphere, definitely great for an intimate date night. The drinks menu was my favorite -- so many different cocktail options. I had an artichoke gin drink and I really enjoyed it. The food was fabulous - focaccia was delicious, the panzanella was smooth and crunchy, and the cacio e Pepe was perfectly al dente. It took a min for the flame grilled dishes to come out as expected, when when they did, they were worth the wait. The chicken was a stunner and the beans were really the highlight of the fish. The pork ribs were also good but I would pick the chicken if you're debating between the two. Prices are on the higher side as expected for a nicer restaurant like this. I'll be back to try other drinks on their cocktail menu! I hope this place survives - this is a difficult location to do well.

Had a pleasant experience for dinner at Bosco. Ordered the Buckwheat Chitarra, Grilled Half Chicken, and Sunchoke Caponata between my husband and I to share. The miso broth and cod were delicious. The 1/2 chicken was a very generous portion; we ended up taking some home. The beans and sauce with the chicken was really good too. I personally wasn't a huge fan of the sunchokes. The restaurant is very spacious and decor is beautiful. One downside is the service wasn't great; our server barely checked in on us, didn't ask how we enjoyed our food at all, and we had to flag someone down a couple of times. Otherwise it was a really good experience. I'd like to go back to try more traditional pasta dishes.

What an amazing experience! The food was amazing, great selection of vegetarian options. They were also able to customize some of the dishes without meat and/or adding some cheeses on the side rather than on the dish. The service is 5/5. The manager and waiting staff are so attentive and thoughtful. The ambiance is so modern and elegant, yet has an old class vibe. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Easy parking and easy to get to, not 2 things to take for granted in SF. Nice interior I don't think they had to change much from Belotta because it was already really nicely done. Only weird thing is to go to the restroom where you find yourself in the middle of the office space at the jewelry mart someone mentioned Airbnb space? They are working on it so there is scalfolding everywhere. Now the food- ordered our usual drink a Manhattan which was good, only thing to note was it was $2 more than the one on the menu. ?? Usually a "specialty cocktail" is more or the same. But oh well. Ordered the leafy lettuce and that's exactly what it was, nothing more nothing less. I would try the ceasar next time. The osso Bucco angoletti was tasty although a little small portion wise, there were 6 and since we shared we each got 3. Also tried the swordfish which was really nicely prepared with some yummy mash potatoes to hearty up the dish. As a last note they have an additional 6% mandated charge. It is what it is but it's gotten pricey for a simple meal in SF. At least their tip chart didn't include a tip on the extra % which I have at times seen and kind of doesn't seem right. Easy parking and easy to get a reservation for a nice meal. They will survive if they can count on a nice lunch crowd too.

This restaurant is hidden in SoMa, and it's truly a hidden gem. We couldn't pick one of two things and decided to share a few different things. Their focaccia is very fluffy inside and crunchy outside, perfectly buttery gluten goodness. Frutti di mare were perfectly cooked and served with two sauces, one of which was a very good marinara (I usually skip marinara sauce). Octopus carpaccio was very fresh, honestly, in my opinion better than at some well-known places in FiDi. Pastas were delicious, al dente, as they should be. Arancini, potatoes, meatballs; you really can't go wrong there. Star of the show for us was Bistecca Fiorentina. Boy! I felt like I'm back to Florence! It was perfectly charred with all that rare juiciness inside. Fatty, juicy, not chewy at all, that steak was worth the price. Do not skip on dolci! Pana cotta was probably one of the best of not the best I ever had. Not overly sweet, creamy and very refreshing.

i've loved beretta for years, but probably will not be back for a while…read more review written by my boyfriend: "I'm going to elaborate on my review. I do want to highlight that the food was amazing. It's just that the service was abysmal. First off, we were seated quite quickly. But it took us forever to have someone take our order. We didn't even know who our server was. Probably 10-15 mins before we got someone's attention. Our server was a short woman with a brunette bob. Thankfully, she was not the one serving us the food or else the entire meal would have taken even longer (some other staff members did that promptly). Our waitress just took our order and moved food off our table (which she was quite attentive about). My major gripe were three things. First, the beginning. Second, my partner needed a lemon for her risotto. I raised my hand. My partner sees that our server walks in from outside and completely ignores my raised hand. I feel like as a server, when you enter the restaurant again from somewhere else, your immediate attention should be on the tables that you're serving. But I'll let it slide since a raised hand could be quite hard to see. However, immediately after, she goes and starts chatting up with her coworkers. This time my partner tries to raise her hand (she's actually facing the whole restaurant whereas I'm facing the back wall). She got ignored as the waitress walked right behind me to the bathroom area. Only reason we got her attention was because my partner raised her voice and said excuse me. Lastly, the one that made me decide to leave a 10% tip (usually it's 20%+) was how long it took for us to get a check. Let me pose this question: If the customer is on their last entree, ask for it to be boxed, and declines dessert, what would be the most logical follow up? She walks away and I make a bet that we're not getting our check in 5 mins. Lo and behold, we did not. We decide to ask her, but 5 mins later and still no check. So we had to ask another waitress. I entered 10% tip on her pay pad, but felt bad since she wasn't our waitress."

My favorites were: the chef's choice crudo, specially the tuna and hamachi(?). The tuna was rich and smokey in a great milky and fragrant fennel sauce. My other favorite, the lamb pasta! Loved that texture. Flavor wise, savory and spicy. It was cold out and really warmed me up. Loved the experience. Our waitress was also awesome and patience. Excited to try a lot of the dishes I saw on social media and knew it was Michelin rated.  THE FOOD: Go for the food and tolerate everything else. This food is top-notch, reflecting SF and California cuisine. It's really good and consists mostly of crudo, salad and pasta. That combination makes for a great meal without ordering too much. We started with the Amberjack Crudo - stellar with excellent fresh fish, sweetness from passionfruit, spice (a nice little red pepper) and freshness (mint) all in one bite. Great to share between 2 people.Salad: We had the Asparagus Salad - lightly cooked and cut asparagus with a great savory butter Caesar dressing. The crispy shallot made it, topped with some nice Parmigiano-Reggiano. Again - stellar.Main Pasta: Agnolotti with Roasted Corn, Hen of the Woods (mushroom) and chive - this dish rocks. So savory with the pockets of pasta filled with cheese and the sauce of mushrooms and corn are an umami and sweet touch. Bravo. Second Pasta: Mafaldine Cacio e Pepe - BOOM! My new fav pasta. The Mafaldine noodle just really makes this dish. So different, yet so perfect for holding the amazing sauce in the ruffled edges. Cooked perfectly and they seem to know how to mix the simple ingrediants in the proper fashion to create greatness in a dish. No dessert, but I do hear the Panna Cotta is quite good. SERVICE: Just ok to poor. Rotating staff at the door seemed busy helping inside and were not very attentive. There are typically lines at the door, and they seem to have a challenge seating people. We booked the bar and asked for a table since most tables were open when we arrived, but we were denied. Tables did fill up while we were there but a few were still open when we left. The bar experience was just okay; the bartender seemed overwhelmed serving us even though only half the place was full. Orders were entered late, and the service suffered.  AMBIANCE: This place could be stellar if the ambiance and design was fixed or updated. The front of the restaurant is all tables for 2 or 4 and a little cramped. The bar area is dark as a funeral home. Some of the bar seats will put you infront of a small refrigerator and the overall bar area is unappealing. Messy and unorganized. The rear of the house is probably the best. Far more lit because of a skylight and a view of the kitchen. Community table and some two and four tops sit in the area and it seems pleasant.  PARKING: Terrible. No Valet, no great street parking or parking garage options. Give yourself 20 minutes to find a space. Better yet - only take Uber.  PRICING: Reasonable. Two of us ate for $124 plus $10 tax and an $8 SF Mandate (whatever that is). We had a choice between this menu or the Tasting Menu (now up to $105 from $95) which probably would have been too much food for one person but would offer a good taste of all their food.  In Italian, "Itria" most famously refers to the Valle d'Itria (Itria Valley), a stunning, sun-drenched region in central Apulia (Puglia). The word has also gained popularity as a name for traditional, hand-made pasta derived from ancient Mediterranean roots. Itria Restaurant in SF lives up to this from a food perspective. Put up with the service, ambiance and parking - the food is worth it!
