This was a cool spot that I discovered recently. It's located off of Fairburn road in the plaza with the new gas station. It has a nice size amount of free parking which is always a plus for me. This establishment is owned by Big Oomp. I love the artwork and designs in here. They have a hip hop wall and I love the bamboo earrings on the women's restroom wall. The food was hot, fresh, and made to order. Because of this, it did take a while to come out. The staff was nice and the manager was very accommodating. I ended up in the area after looking for happy hour and stumbled upon a gem in Fairburn. BOSK has all of the essentials of the neighborhood bar but with hip hop Atlanta flair, I love it! Keep it simple and have a vision, that's it! The service is always laid back but efficient and friendly. My food is always hot and the flavors just don't miss, that's what keeps me coming back. I initially walked in with the intention to get food to go - but I loved the ambiance, I decided to eat in and get the whole experience. I ordered the wings which were SO good. They do the fried battered wings then toss in the sauce, they STILL had a crunch to them, even being tossed in the sauce. Also the wait staff were so attentive and friendly. Upon entering we were greeted by a very sweet young lady. The ambiance was very pleasant. I ordered the Salmon Bites which came with sweet Thai chili. The salmon could have used more seasoning but the sauce helped. I also had the fried shrimp and fries. The shrimp was greasy and I asked for cocktail sauce but to no avail. So I requested another cup of sweet Thai chili. I thought it could replace cocktail sauce but I was charged for it. My date had the Cascade Burger. He was pleased with it. After waiting 13 minutes for a simple Diet Coke with no order placed and no acknowledgment from the waitress I felt completely ignored. As a regular who tips well, this level of service is unacceptable. Stomachs beware - when you enter the establishment - if you don't like your entree if they serve you crap the HOUSE RULE says too bad - you pay for what you get and not what you paid for. I had heard about this place last Friday and decided to drop by for lunch on Saturday - very disappointed was not able to consume the food because it was literally swimming in hot grease and the grouper was old with dark signs of being expired. According to the house rules... So I left it on the table and at the end when the waitress returned after not stopping by at all simply asked if I wanted to a take home box. I said you can take it back to the chef so he can see what he actually served me. She said the chef nor the manager was available. I paid my bill and left - No offer for another entree just my apologies you did not like your meal (did not touch it). The ambience was nice the staff was friendly although no one came back to see if we needed anything and had to ask for fork and water. I understand the house rules but a substitute would have been the correct course of action and not just give me your money and go home hungry. The place is nice enough but unfortunately with their business concept of not satisfying the customer I have no doubt that this too will pass. I really wanted to like the place. I went on a Tuesday. I was greeted when I walked in and was told where to go to place my order. Staff was friendly. Inside is nice. I went there early so it wasn't many people there but I can tell if you come at the right time it could be live in there. I was told they do a Taco Tuesday if youre into that. My daughter surprised me with a visit, it's been a long time since we've done this! I bragged on BOSK the fairly new restaurant in our hood! Serves great food and I wanted her to try it. First, we had to wait until after noon to place the order. The total came to $82! We placed our order via phone to make certain that it was precise because her son likes Burger with only pickles. Nothing else. Upon arriving to pick up, We checked the order prior to leaving, while in the car. It wasn't correct. Had to go back in because they gave a burger with cheese when should have been only pickles. We had opened the burger so we asked for our inconvenience rather than throw it away, give it to us. They refused. Now, we had paid over $80, and let's not forget our other food was getting cold. Nice restaurant but petty, no customer consideration as far as inconvenience and time. We finally get a restaurant that we can be proud of owned by us, but that nigg-- mindset against our own, we can't shake that! Even though the food is good, we couldn't enjoy ours, the fries were soggy and everything was cold. I live across the street, but I will not be returning. My money is hard earned and service / attitude is everything. So sad that no telling how many times this happened and probably continue. We as a people tend to enjoy but don't complain. I liked the decor, which was red, black and brick. "Bosk" has a variety selection of liquora. The drink I had was"South Side" and it was very well made. For food, I couldn't RESIST trying the sweet potato fries which were dressed with marshmallow sauce, caramel and brown sugar OMG it was so good! There were so many other delicious options but I couldn't enjoy due to healing from oral surgery. I overheard a regular saying that the hot dog was " INCREDIBLE!" wow I've never heard anyone describe a hotdog this way so I HAD TO mention it! I also found the prices to be very reasonable; there's something for all budgets. First timer here and I arrived a hour before closing - I was greeted with a friendly staff and a warm welcome. Immediately sat at the bar and was presented with the menu. The menu had a lot of the typical bar restaurant food items, wings, egg rolls, burgers, etc. the grilled cheese item was surprising to see tho. I don't remember the last time Ive seen grilled cheese on a menu before so I'll be sure to check that out next time. I ordered the sampler and their hookah. Hookah was $25 which is great deal especially in atl. I want to note that I particularly like the location of the establishment bcus it's conveniently close to me - I think the next closest bar lounge to me is campcreek so this is a plus. There's plenty of parking and they have out door seating. Because they are not officially open yet (grand opening is set for Sept 6 I think) came in with very little expectation because I am sure they are still in the process of figuring everything out. But overall my experience was pretty good. The food could look more presentable-i suggest for the sampler to be placed in a basket type tray instead of a pan so it can look more full instead scanty. The hookah was good too. I didn't order any alcohol but everyone else around me did and they seemed to enjoy it. I like how the staff was very interactive with their guests. Since it was late everyone was seated at the bar - so the engagement was definitely there. Will I be back...yes. I can see this place getting popular and busy soon.
