We had an excellent experience at the Lahaina Cannery Mall location thanks to Denny. He was very friendly and helpful in every respect. My wife and I took his advice on many great snorkel spots and dining establishments on Westside Maui. We did not want to go on a vacation ownership tour as we'd done so with another company in the past and we did not want to spend the extra time. He understood and although he did explain how it would save us a great deal of money, he did not push us like so many rude and aggressive sales persons have done us on this trip. We rented two snorkels for a week while in Maui. Our snorkel kit was the easy breathe and they were amazing! Also, the anti fog solution worked miracles. We rented our equipment from Joe, who was extremely helpful! He gave us tips, maps, and overall was a pleasure to work with! read more

My wife and I were walking by and was approached by one of the employees asking if we were going to be doing any activities during our stay and if so would like to save a little money doing it. We said sure and sat down talked us through all the activities we can do and for how much. Which we already did some research, but they were almost doing everything half off on activities. The only catches is you have to do a diamond resort presentation that takes about 3 hours, but they don't really pressure you on signing up. Diamond resorts will do their sales pitch of course, but if you ever done a Vegas one, this one is a couple simple no's and you're out. We needed up getting 5 activities for the 2 of us for around $500. Only problem I really had was when I returned home I had an unexpected charge on my account a short email to the manager and a couple days later the funds were back in my account I guess it showed us as a no call no show in their system, but they figured out that wasn't true and made a mistake and corrected. I would say besides the small hiccup hassle free, no pressure, and great customer service. Thanks again for everything Boss Frog's. read more

Boss Frogs in Lahaina Cannery Mall, far exceeded my expectation on our family vacation for 5 people to Maui from May 21 to June 4th, 2017. We had a previously poor experience with a competitor close by where the service was so poor that it does not even get 1 star. Our family stopped into Boss Frogs on a whim as we had already rented our snorkle gear and just wanted to see what they had to compare. We talked to the staff that seemed to really liked their job. We asked about their snorkle rental prices and were told that they were 1/2 of what we just paid for our weekly rentals. While there we inquired about island activities and we were provided with many options. We were even told about about a vacation club presentation that could save us some money. The following day we went back to the store and signed up for several activities with the assistance of "Noodle"we chose the snorkle trip on the Calipso for 5, a helicopter ride on Maui Air for 5 and Northshore ziplining for three. These activities and friendly attitude of all staff members made our vacation. Suggestions of what to do and where to eat were totally on the money. I would not hesitate to use this company for rental gear, activities, and good advise on an island where everything was new. If you are close to this store please stop by and give them your business, you will not be sorry. Ask for the Noodle, he is the best guy there. He is a stand up guy. read more

We rented some snorkel gear from here on Thanksgiving after we found out that the Snorkel Shop was closed. We were very pleasantly surprised with our experience. They offer 3 different types of snorkel gear at different prices for both a daily and a weekly rate. We had wanted to rent snorkel gear in advance of any trips because I have really, really bad eyesight and on most excursions, the vendors never have anything strong enough for my prescription. The guy that helped us, Jesse, was super patient as I tried on the various prescription masks they have since my eyesight is significantly different in my two eyes. They carry masks that go up to -7 btw in case anyone else every needs that bit of info. We ended up booking a couple of trips through them since you get a discount for already having the snorkeling equipment. They also recommended a bunch of nearby snorkel spots along with letting us know which ones were sand beaches and which ones were rock beaches since we had our kids with us and also some hours where places were better or worse (ex- Black Rock is better in the morning). Our kids now know how to snorkel and have been demanding to snorkel every day so we have gotten very good use out of the week's rental. read more

This is such a great and affordable service! I rented their Snorkel Gear (mask, fins, and snorkel) for about $26 for a week. You are ableto return your snorkel gear to any Boss Frog location on the island and I returned mine to the Boss Frog Location at the Cannery Mall in Lahaina. I was two days past my return date and Curtis was so kind enough to wave my two day late fee saving me $18! Exceptional customer service and very helpful. We were fortunate enough to have "LUCKY" help us out in the store. What an OUTGOING personality she has!!! She was extremely helpful while we were trying on the new style full face snorkel mask...the Seaview 180. She spent a lot of time with my wife and I, making sure we had the right fit. And although (at $100 each) we decided to think about the mask purchase, "Lucky" was still soooo helpful, and even made dinner reservations for us at Star Noodle!!!!! Which was a fantastic dinner by the way! Definitely...If "Lucky's" customer service is indicative of all the employees at Boss Frog's, we will definitely return to that location for future rentals and advice. As a side note...a couple days before, we had rented some equipment from a rental stand along the Beach Walk, near the Marriott Hotel. The young man was arrogant and immature. This young man even tried to talk me out of wearing a life vest while paddle boarding!
