With nearly 6k reviews and a 4.3 average rating, Bosscat Kitchen & Libations is definitely one of the most popular restaurants in the area. We were super curious to check it out. To eat, we ordered the 12-hour beef short rib ($38), bourbon butter chicken ($26), and maple buttered brussels ($14). To drink, I had a couple Stone hazys ($9 each). While I was impressed by the short rib, unfortunately the chicken was a bit dry. Service was good, the decor was great, and the ambiance was lively. This restaurant is on the louder side, so if you're looking for somewhere intimate and quiet, this might not be your best option. I would not be opposed to coming back, though I don't think I would go out of my way to do so.

Went to Bosscat Kitchen & Libations for happy hour on a weekday. It is located in an office park near a few other restaurants, a Lifetime fitness, and some office buildings, so it's a good spot for after-work drinks. The restaurant is spacious, with a large bar area and seating both indoors and outside, and the outdoor area has a fire pit. It was a sunny afternoon, we got our cocktails in plastic cups and sat outside. Most of the cocktails were priced between $14 and $16, with a few premium options around $20 made with top-shelf spirits. I ordered the Paloma, which was refreshing and enjoyable, and a few friends tried other cocktails that they also enjoyed. The drinks were prepared quickly, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Overall, Bosscat is a good option if you are in the area, especially if you are meeting a group or looking for a place with comfortable outdoor seating for happy hour.

Came here for brunch, the Saturday before Father's Day. From the brunch menu I chose medium-rare steak and sunny side up eggs. The server thought that the steak was not cooked right so she sent it back and we got an extra steak and eggs, free! The others had a holy smokes Benedict and a JT's Power Bowl with ahi tuna. The steak and potatoes were a bit salty, perhaps intended to go with beer but we were drinking water. We would like to see a mocktail and a nonalcoholic beer on the menu. After all, most patrons either walk here for a working lunch or drive here. I think the real mission of Bosscat is not to sell alcohol. It is to sell hospitality to employees OR to drivers and their passengers!

White fish with risotto. I'm usually not a risotto fan, but it was really good

The atmosphere, food, service are still good. It's a fun place to go after work. The turnover is pretty fast, so if you're waiting for a seat at the bar it opens up fairly quickly. For dining, it's best to get a res.

Stopped by Bosscat Kitchen & Libations for lunch during the World Cup while looking for a place to watch the USA vs. Australia match with my kids. The food was excellent, and the service was even better. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that we came specifically to watch the game. Inside the dining area, the match was only visible on a couple of small TVs near the bar, which wasn't the most comfortable setup for enjoying a World Cup match during lunch. Fortunately, there was a large fan viewing area just outside with a great soccer atmosphere, so we finished our meal and headed there to continue watching the game. We later tried a nearby coffee shop to catch the second half, but that experience was much less welcoming. As a restaurant, Bosscat absolutely delivered--great lunch, great service, and a lively atmosphere. If you're looking for a quality meal near the stadium, it's an excellent choice. Just don't expect the main dining room to be an ideal sports-viewing destination during major matches.

Made reservations for lunch through OpenTable and were seated right away. I got the burger and asked for it protein style, but that somehow got missed and it came out on a bun. Not the end of the world, but if you're making special requests, it might be worth reminding them when the food comes out. Environment was a little loud, but they have indoor and outdoor seating. I would come back.

My husband and I came here for brunch two days in a row--and honestly, that says everything you need to know about Bosscat. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was exceptional. Mary, the manager, was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind, making us feel welcomed from start to finish. Dakota was fantastic as well and added to an already outstanding experience. We also had the pleasure of meeting owner John, whose warmth and hospitality were evident. He has truly created something special here. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between relaxed, breezy, and effortlessly trendy without trying too hard. The brunch menu is thoughtfully curated, reasonably priced, and refreshing in a time when brunch can easily become overpriced. Not a single item was over $20. And let's talk about the pancakes. We ordered them both days because they were that good. Light, fluffy, perfectly cooked, and finished with those irresistible crisp golden edges that pancake lovers dream about. Easily some of the best pancakes we've had in a very long time. Bosscat delivers on food, service, value, and atmosphere. It's rare to find a place that gets all four right, but they absolutely nailed it. We can't wait to come back!!

Pan Seared Salmon

As a fancier restaurant, the service and environment were definitely there. It was nice to be able to sit in a clean and elegant place to talk about work with my co-worker. Pan Seared Salmon (9/10): The portion is generous for like $30~. The salmon is cooked perfectly with crispy skin and soft interior. The tomato and asparagus are roasted perfectly and juicy. However the salmon was a bit salty though.

Steak and eggs split into two

Such a fun spot to have a birthday brunch. The staff were awesome. They accommodated to the needs of our party. Everything was great and this spot is the place to be!

No, it's not 2016... but somehow Bosscat Kitchen still has brunch menu favorites under $20 Everything we ordered was SO good. The Blueberry Monster pancakes were fluffy, sweet, and loaded with blueberries without being too overwhelming. The buttermilk pancakes were classic, buttery, and honestly so comforting. We also got the steak & eggs, which was cooked perfectly medium rare and super satisfying, and the Holy Smoked Benedict was packed with flavor with the perfect smoky touch. And let's talk about the $5 mimosas... such a steal Between the delicious food, generous portions, fun brunch vibe, and friendly service, this spot is definitely worth checking out. If you get the chance to come here for brunch, you will no be disappointed!!

Came here for a team dinner and left satisfied. The establishment is really nice and service was quick. Food was great; overall no complaints.

Cute location for a date night. Dim lighting, beautiful decor, great food - what more can you ask for? My husband and I were stuffed from a heavy lunch so we split a few shareable plates. The short rib tostadas were perfectly sized to share. The short rib melted in your mouth (easily the best part of our meal). The lettuce wraps with chicken were also light while maintaining solid taste. We ended up opting for dessert and the beignets / apple pie with ice cream were both spectacular. The beignets came with a creamy yellow custard and marshmallow that not only paired perfectly with the beignets, but it enhanced the flavor.

They have tons of parking in this shopping center. They share it with TONS of other places. One of my BFFs saw this on an Instagram video and wanted to check it out. *They do take reservations When we came in we checked in with one of the waitresses. She said she would seat us in a minute. To be honest, she did forget about us. A waiter walked up to us and asked us what was going on (we were standing there for around 7 - 10 minutes) and we told him we had a reservation for the speakeasy. He immediately apologized and sat us. This camp themed speakeasy has a couple booths. It's on the smaller sides. Which, speakeasy's are usually small to begin with. I did not get the waitresses name, my friend and I were busy catching up. The waitress was nice, but not attentive. I will say service was a 2/5. However, the actual restaurant, cozy pine is located in, was packed because of the World Cup being on TV. So I definitely was not going to complain The food Our food order did come out extremely FAST. Faster than our drink orders. -the campfire guacamole -BBQ shoestring fries (had bbq seasoning all over them so it tasted like a BBQ potato chip) -Glamping plate (charcuterie board) -steak tacos (one without onion and cilantro -churro affogato Again, the food was VERY fast!! And to be honest it wasn't that bad. I'll say, speakeasy's usually shine in the drink department vs food. Drinks -Lycheed and Loaded Ketel One, lychee liqueur, lemon, elderflower. This was extremely delicious! If you don't like to taste your alcohol? Go with this. It was really refreshing. Hand this to me at a spa and I'd be the happiest gal in the world -Camp Anawanna $17 Graham cracker-infused bourbon, licor 43, chocolate, torched marshmallow (the waitress catches the marshmallow on fire at the table) This one was stronger and I didn't think it was overly sweet despite the ingredients I think they had a good selection, especially for a small speakeasy. I have been to better, so I don't think I'd return. Especially since the service was not that great. We still had a good time and recommend for every speakeasy lovers list.

When you go thru the sliding doors it immediately transports you to a different time and place. Its very dark. Sleek. And modern. Yet simple. I love the big screen tvs with areal views of New York. It just made it feel like we were in a high rise building or a blimp with a birds eye view of many of New Yorks beautiful landmarks. The couches were extremely comfortable too. Great cushion. You just sink into them. Its a small area but great utilization of the space, making it seem large and spacious. The chairs too were really comfortable to sit in. We spent 3 hours in there and it flew by so quickly. The ambiance and feel here was just truly top notch. Our waitress was Brandy, or is it Brandi? She was super cool. She was a one person crew. Basically getting orders, making drinks, cleaning tables, and checking in on us. And she did it with great charisma, attitude and personality. Super knowledgeable about the menu. Made great drinks quickly. And was just super personable. Great job from her!! Her attitude and demeanor really matched the top tier aura they were going for here. They have a great selection of drinks. From more alcohol forward drinks to light and fruity drinks to refreshing drinks. I really did enjoy their drink selections. We had a total of about 6 drinks and they were all really good! We got there: 1. Fox's wedding- light, seeet and refreshing. I love the origami piece that Brandy put on it as well. Looked so beauitful. 2. Guava chiffon pancake- it was tropical, light but also had a coconut feel to it. It was really good. 3. The Monroe- this was light but tart, but not too tart. Silky with fruit forward notes. 4. Miso honey butter corn- rarely is a savory cocktail good. But this one was pretty good. The butter fat washed burbon was super intriguing. But it works well 5. When pigs fly- came with a paper airplane on top!! Haha. Love the playfulness. But the drink was so complex yet smooth. It was really good. For the bourbon drinkers, this one is for you! 6. Smoked Old Fashion- presentation is amazing. Comes in a big glass case that has cherry wood smoke inside. When you open it, you get that intense smell of burning cherry wood. Drink is smokey but in a very good way. Tasted amazing. A true classic done right. Their food menu is very encompassing and thorough as well. From full on burgers, to flat breads, to appetizers and small bites, to salads. They have a little of everything!! We ordered the following: 1. Pub nachos- this was an extremely large plate of loaded nachos. Super crunchy and fresh. I loved the generous amount of Chipotle chicken on top. The pepper jack queso sauce and jalapeño crema was a really good sauce. It just binded everything together. The beans and the fresh jalapeño just really all worked together. It was super good. Kept you grazing and munching away, but never becoming too full (more room for their drinks!!). 2. Figgy piggy flat bread- it was ok. Sweet caramel onions and fig jam, paired with some pungent cheeses. I thought it was pretty good. 3. Shrimp street tacos- 1 order comes with 2 tacos. They were good sizes. I love their tacos. So flaverful. Everything works together. Just tasted amazing!! Overall everything about this place is 5 stars. The ambiance, the decor, the exclusivity. The service. The drinks and the food. As i said 3 hours went by so fast!! Definitely a must try when in the area. And when you stay at the Marriott, its just a simple walk back to your room. And we left feeling happy and amazing. Thank you very much Brandy!!

We opted to order the following meats à la carte: the KSC signature tableside kalbi (which they marinade on the spot and serve with asparagus), then the 48-hour marinated kalbi Seoul style AND Suwon style. I personally liked the Seoul style the most (I felt like it was the perfect balance of salty and sweet), followed by the KSC signature (sweeter than Seoul), and lastly the Suwon style - but they were all superrr tender and full of flavor~ The inside definitely gives off a classy modern vibe, so it's perfect for date night and/or special occasions.

The main indoor seating area was mostly full but the other areas only had a few people. We asked to sit outside since it was a beautiful day/evening, and they were happy to accommodate us. On the reservation request I had noted that we were celebrating our anniversary, so once we were seated they brought out a little "Happy Anniversary" card signed by the whole staff. It was a very thoughtful touch! We started by ordering a Summer Barrel Aged Cocktail to drink. It reminded me of an Old Fashioned. It was good! I personally tend to like sweeter drinks a bit more, but I was in the mood for something different from my usual and this sounded like an interesting flavor combination, so I was happy with my choice. Next we ordered short rib croquettes as a starter, and the seafood risotto and the branzino as the mains. The food didn't take very long to come out. The short rib croquettes were amazing! It definitely left you wanting more. I honestly would have ordered that as a main, it was that good. The seafood risotto was so rich and flavorful. It had a creamy, buttery texture with a mild seafood flavor but not overpowering. It was a beautiful saffron color too. The branzino was also excellent. In short, we loved all the food and we left feeling very full with even a bit of food leftover. We skipped dessert since we were just too full. Overall, everything about this place was great - good service, great food, and a nice ambiance. The parking situation is also super easy since there's a large garage right next to it and they validate. It seems to be in a business park so the garage was pretty empty by 6pm on a Friday.

Upon arrival, the main indoor…read moredining area was relatively empty, though the patio was completely packed--clearly, it's the popular spot. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and I can easily see it being a great date spot in the evening. Because our group was so large, I couldn't sample or photograph every dish, but here is my breakdown of the items ordered near my end of the table: 01. Arugula Salad (half) $8.00 - 3 Stars - Light and exceptionally simple, topped with red onions and parmesan cheese. Frankly, it was a bit too simple, the dressing was entirely unmemorable. 02. Prime Rib Dip $25.50 - 3 Stars - This arrived looking very promising. The fries were perfectly crisp, and the creamy horseradish packed a powerful punch (it will definitely clear out your sinuses). Unfortunately, the thinly sliced meat was slightly overcooked, dry, and a bit chewy. While the au jus was flavorful, I've definitely had better prime rib dips elsewhere. 03. Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich $20.50 - 2 Stars - This was the biggest disappointment of the lunch. It looked great initially, but hiding a layer of mashed potatoes underneath the chicken was a strange choice that made the bottom bun instantly soggy. The chicken itself lacked crunch, likely because it was completely doused in what tasted like standard Frank's RedHot sauce (tangy and vinegar-forward, but not actually spicy). No wonder there are barely any photos of this online; I wouldn't order it again. 04. Lobster Roll $32.00 - 3 Stars - Beautifully presented with large chunks of lobster and a side of sweet potato fries. However, at this price point, it felt overpriced for the portion size. The flavor was a bit bland and lacked a "wow" factor. While I appreciated the use of butter lettuce to keep the roll from getting soggy, the lobster meat didn't actually fill out the bread end-to-end. On the bright side, the butter sauce was quite good. 05. Creme Brulee $12 - 3 Stars - A very standard crème brûlée with a decent portion size. It was served completely chilled, which threw off a few of my colleagues. While it's traditionally served chilled, some places serve it closer to room temperature, so this really just comes down to personal preference. 06. Fresh Seasonal Cobbler $12.00 - 3 Stars - As a massive fan of cobblers, I was underwhelmed. The berries were cooked down so much that they lost their form entirely, taking on a jam-like consistency. The crust layer was incredibly thin and soggy, making the whole dessert feel mushy. Luckily, the vanilla ice cream helped cut through the intense sweetness, but overall it was just okay. LOCATION/PARKING - The restaurant sits right on the corner and shares a parking structure with Monaco, The Trough, and Izakaya Osen. Valet parking is available, and the restaurant validates for 90 minutes. CUSTOMER SERVICE - The service seems to depend heavily on who you get. While the staff was generally friendly, they weren't particularly attentive, and we constantly had to ask for refills. To be fair, assigning just one server to a party of 14 is a tough ask, this venue is likely better suited for smaller groups. VERDICT - Overall, the menu feels a bit overpriced for the quality of the food. If my team decides to host another lunch here, I wouldn't object to returning.

When I said "Bar" and "Santa Ana" in the Yelp search - of course it said "Club 616" in the first…read morespot - OF COURSE IT SAID 616!!! I was lucky enough to stumble across this gem of the center of OC when they first opened - and I am proud to be a regular here. I don't know how to go somewhere else - because I feel like the staff are giant gems in this jewel of a spot. Winters is a curator of boozy information that has helped me learn about "gin" and "root beer whiskey" so I can sound like an adult-ish purveyor, when really I know close to nothing except being a willing student to his creations. Dan the Man and Jacob always see me raise my hand in the corner of the bar, like the student I am, and have been willing to fill in the blanks for me when I know I am of thirst, but do not have the words for what to order. Every person working in the well has treated me with kindness - they have taken the time to get to know me, and I will be forever appreciative of how they have taken care of me over the years. But the real joy has been the transformation that this spot has for building a community of people in Santa Ana for real recognizing real. I have been bringing my Dad with me to play pool for the past few years. Sometimes people ask me if he plays professionally, I am terrible, and my skill incline is slow, he is patient and plays with the same level craftiness that the staff offer the cocktails. My Dad is always stoked when we have time to go have a few hours of games at 616 - especially now that there are regulars on 4th street that are excited to see that he is there playing - and they rush to write their names on the chalkboard to challenge him - or beat him in a game they really earned the W. On lazy Sundays, I watch couples sit with their drink, listening to Jazz, and watching my Dad whoop my ass while making amazing shots. I am forever grateful to Memo who sometimes takes a break from his shift behind the bar to give my dad an actual challenge - which allows me the chance to watch my Dad enjoy fellowship around the table. Knowing the table was a relic of the bars former self, and knowing the history that this spot has in Santa Ana is a reminder that so much around us can change - but it is those moments of the crack of the rack, the cheer of getting the combo shot, and the shake of hands when it's over that shows that it's not just about the pool table - but about the energy of a place that is welcoming and curated by people who care about what they do - and care about who comes through their doors. Thank you Jason and Mike B to bringing this to 4th St and supporting the community that was already here - and for building a community for the future. Thank you to Christina and Brandon for always having amazing pictures, decor, and fun events at 616 that help introduce new folks into this great spot. Time is short. Learn about Root Beer Whiskey. Write your name on the Chalk Board. No one lives forever.

I love the vibe here. It's about the energy and atmosphere for sure. Reminiscent of the bars /…read moreclubs in Baja California or Mexico in general, it's lively with a back patio area and even like a taquero there, at least on weekends. The drat beer selection is solid and the cocktails are well crafted. Highly recommend this spot. One of my favorite it's Downtown Stabba Ana
