Loved the vibe here--it's a fun indoor-outdoor space with a great mix of cocktails, beer, and wine. The service was a bit slow due to our waiter manning the old fashion made table side station. The happy hour menu is a steal, with options like short rib grilled cheese, fried pickles, and burgers all under $10. We started with the tuna lettuce wraps, which looked promising but ended up falling flat flavor-wise. Thankfully, the entrees more than made up for it--the burger "chef's way" was massive, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the prime rib sandwich was rich, buttery, and perfectly tender. I haven't been to Bosscat since they moved and thats how long it has been. I finally got the chance after my sister wanted to take me here for my birthday. We sat at the bar that weekend and shared a bottle of champagne and some food. It was busy but we were able to grab a seat at the bar no problem. For food we shared their brunch country fried steak which came with two eggs cooked your way. It was really good with their white gravy. Yum! The bartender was really nice and food came out quick. While we were there there was a few different groups celebrating something. The inside is really cute. I like the fun vibe and decorations. The outside patio area is cool too. I like that their bar is super large and you can sit outside as well. It's definitely a great spot for small or large groups. But great food and drinks you cannot go wrong. Great service, great food, clean restaurant - what more can you ask for! We came in for brunch and were seated immediately. Our server was amazing, she recommended the bosscat fries extra crispy with cilantro dip. Yum! The smokehouse Benedict was delicious, very umami with the perfect runny yolk. Me and my girls went for a late lunch today to celebrate my Bday. To clarify, we range in age from 60-80 yrs of age. Two of us have worked the majority of our lives in retail and service. We know what excellent customer service is, and is not. We were impressed from the moment we stepped in and were greeted by our hostess. I'm sorry I did not catch her name, she was great. She had more comfortable chairs brought out to the patio so our aching bodies wouldn't have to sit and suffer while we enjoyed our lunch outside. She was kind, helpful and funny. Kudos to you girl!! Next we were put into the hands of our server Jordan. He did not disappoint. He was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and helped guide us in our selections without pressure. He was attentive without being intrusive throughout our whole meal. His demeanor was so appreciated. He was friendly, comfortable, easy going and made sure our time was pleasant and enjoyable. Now to the food. We had the short rib tostadas to begin with. They were delicious. Each of us ordered something different and all of us sampled everything. We had the Fried Chicken Salad, The Wedge Salad, and the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, and oh my goodness, the house made fried bread with ranch butter(so amazing). In addition, I was offered a complimentary glass of champagne and a Bday dessert to share. We loved everything. It was a lovely afternoon. I'm sooo happy we chose this spot to celebrate my dad's 53rd birthday. Such a fun masculine type of vibe. Dimly lit environment, jokey waiters, & food that'll make you close your eyes & savor every bite. Our waiter, Dexter, literally made our whole experience. We also got a special mixology class with their bartender that was very entertaining, as well as incredible tricks from their magician. Our table shared the cinnamon roll and fruity pebbles french toast (of course)- did not disappoint! Both extremely yummy and good portions to share. The cinnamon roll was so flaky and we loved the frosting/sauce on the side. French toast not only had fruit pebbles as a topping but baked into it, with plenty of fresh fruit on top, as well. Finally, I got the short rib chilaquiles which might have been the best chilaquiles I've ever had. We definitely over ordered but it was hard not to when everything was so delicious. I came here the other day with my fiancé for brunch and we had pretty good service from Oscar. He took care of us and made sure that we were served properly and that our drinks were refilled. Super cool ambience, they only have a DJ on the weekends. DJ played pretty good music! The wait wasn't too bad. It was only 30 minutes and we were seated near the bar. I like the decor inside the building and they had patio seating and bar seating as well. My fiancé really seemed to enjoy her omelette toast and I ordered a burger with french fries. It was good. It wasn't like out of the ballpark for smash burger, but I wish they gave me more fries as well. I coordinated a business lunch for some clients we had in town and Casey the Private Events Manager was responsive right off the bat and was able to cater to all of our needs. The experience was seamless and with all the last minute changes down to the day of, we couldn't have asked for a better communication and accommodations. The food was excellent, as well. I personally enjoyed the Pan Seared Salmon for the first time and will certainly be back for it again. We randomly found Bosscat on our way to Pelican hills. Great location with validation for parking if you dine at the several restaurants within the complex. The decor is quite nice, more like a whiskey lounge than for dining really. Food is on point, we got the Benedict and butter burger and they were both yummy and up to par. Burger is on the smaller side but quite delicious nonetheless. Service is pretty attentive, the place can get quite noisy so just have to speak up. Would definitely come back again. read more

I love that this location offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The aesthetics is welcoming and comfy. Customer service is great - attentive, offers great recommendations and has great vibes. We went to BossCat in Irvine to celebrate Galentine's Day and got to try their new brunch menu such a fun experience. Our server, Nick, was fantastic: attentive, friendly, and made the whole brunch feel relaxed and celebratory. We shared the cinnamon roll as an appetizer, which was unique and delicious. It had more of a croissant consistency rather than a traditional gooey, cake-style pastry, and the cinnamon icing was poured over the top tableside, which was a nice touch. There were five of us, and with adult beverages, tip, and plenty of food, we all left full and happy for about $40 each. Everyone enjoyed their main dishes, along with the mimosas and I had the BossCat signature whiskey drink. One of my friends ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich...huge portion, almost a popover vibe. I had a breakfast sandwich myself, and it was absolutely delish. I LOVE this place. Kate is the best bartender I have ever had. Somehow, I always end up with Kate as my bartender, and she is fabulous. Just had a nice Saturday brunch here with my wife and daughters, and I lack the words to truly describe how amazing our visit was. The restaurant is dressed in dark colors and leathers, but it doesn't feel suffocating or underground. At initial seating I was pleased to see that they at the tables out instead of squeezing all into a single section. It made an intimate feeling of privacy and worth to have empty table buffers between guests. Jordan, our waiter was one of a kind. Compared to waitstaff that you find nowadays (you know what I mean....bored, inattentive, doing the bare minimum, and not invested in your table at all) he truly stood apart. I was so impressed that I had to ask him if he had worked in fine dining before...he just was at that level of excellence. Right out the gate he let us know that he does not rush tables and would ensure that he would pace our meal. My God, why can't other waitstaff do that for you???? He suggested the Blueberry Monster French toast and we split that for our four top as the appetizer. It was so good and massively sized. Blueberry sauce was fresh tasting and not cloyingly sweet as the blueberry flavor really shined through. The Hawaiian sweet bread French toast was superb with a nice outer crunch that yielded to soft warm bread underneath. I ordered the Short Rib Chilaquiles with an additional fried egg on top. As good as it was, it could have used just a touch more salt to really accentuate the flavors. But obviously that is a personal preference. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict that deserved a picture to be taken of it, it was that beautiful. She loved the flavors and was quite satisfied with her choice. My oldest daughter went for the Ham-Azing Croissant and you better be hungry if you order this as it's about 7" round and almost as tall. They pour a Mornay sauce over it table side and you're going to want to video it as people just won't believe how it looks. My youngest daughter went for the Wake Up Call and it easily could have fed 2 adults. Libation side we had the classic Bloody Mary, a Bloody Maria (made with tequila), and an Irish Coffee. All in all, I would highly recommend this restaurant and truly hope that you get Jordan as your waiter. We plan on definitely going back again and hope to bring our friends as well. If the management reads this, please call out Jordan at the team meeting as he deserves praise for his work ethic and help with the menu. read more

It was absolutely a fun-tastic birthday brunch celebration. Having to experience being in the Whiskey Room was more than I expected...so stylish yet it exudes elegance in its own right. Everyone loved it! We couldn't get enough taking photos (in & out of the Whiskey Room). We got so comfortable that we didn't want to leave just yet. Cruise tourists found location close to hotel for Playoff Sunday. What an amazing and fortunate find. Upon entering we were welcomed by a friendly hostess, and the owner John. We requested a table in a quieter area, if possible, as we have hearing issues. They were so kind in placing us and lowered the overhead volume. The playlist was A+. Very nice brunch menu with a fun twist on some standard classics. Highly, highly recommend the huge, delicious, an unctuous cinnamon roll, as encouraged by our server, Nick, who was delightfully kind and non-rushing to get us up and out. Can't go wrong with the brunch butter burger and roasted mushroom chilaquiles. The house Pilsner was great, and mimosas rounded out our brunch cocktails. This was the perfect spot to end a vacation. Bosscat is usually our go-to for a nicer dinner. Tonight the bag was fumbled so hard I'm questioning if there have been major changes in the kitchen. The corn fritters (forgot the actual name) were burnt on the inside and raw on the inside. I'll attach photos. I always get the slow cooked pot roast. The roast was amazing, and so were the potatoes, but about 1/3 of the green beans were not trimmed. The stem ends were also inedible and left a string the length of the bean. I'm hoping this is a temporary set back door for the kitchen, because this meal was well over a hundred dollars and we got burnt/raw fritters and untrimmed green beans. read more

The .38 was my favorite since it was smooth and rich but definitely has a punch once you're more than halfway thru the drink. The bartenders were fantastic! I remember Bosscat used to be on MacArthur so I was so confused when I went to this location. Their website confirms my thoughts and that they had moved to a new location. This location is fancy!! First, they have a shared parking structure which is SO good because the original location had also a shared parking lot, and sometimes you just couldn't find a spot. Second, they're also in the same complex as Lifetime Gym, along with multiple skyscraper buildings, so in general, it looks incredibly walking around these extremely tall glass buildings. Thirdly, they validate 2 hours for the restaurant. And lastly, the entire campus is so nice and secluded; definitely not something that the general public is made aware of. They have seating outdoors for quiet reading and while Bosscat does not have service outside their building, they will serve you if you, the customer, comes to the bar. On my experience, they had shut down the dining room for a private whiskey event. From where I was sitting at the bar, I can feel myself wanting to come in and dine inside. Their booths and chairs, their general interior decoration, looks incredible. The ambience is dark lighting with enough lighting to see toward the bar. The bar area was very well decorated as well and definitely is both a small group friendly and photography friendly space. I first tried their happy hour in Orange with friends. Same happy hour menu. Their named cocktails, Wouldn't You, and Pour Decisions, are in my top 10 cocktails. Deliciously crafted while not skimping on flavors or pours. These cocktails are not in the HH menu therefore one could spend quite a bit just on cocktails. For their food menu, gosh, I canNOT get their short rib grilled cheese out of my head. It's a very nice day for me for when I get out there. Plus, their HH is 7 days a week. That is just unheard of! Unfortunately, their short rib grilled cheese is not usually on the menu so I dont think I'll go back when its not HH. The bartenders and service are so friendly! I tend to take up space at the ends when it's just me and they definitely did not forget me, hidden in the corner. Restrooms are next to the restaurant, not inside.
