Mother's Day Menu
Carrie Z.

1 out of 5 for food sanitation I'd been wanting to try this place for a long time, and Mother's Day brunch finally felt like the right occasion. At $85/person, it fell short of expectation. The good: the staff was wonderful, and you can tell a lot of effort went into putting together an ambitious buffet spread. The bad: the outdoor food area had a real sanitation problem. Flies were constantly landing on exposed food: bread, salad, shrimp, you name it. It was hard to eat anything out there in good conscience. The indoor station had a fly fan (smart!), but the selection was just crackers and dessert and the cheese was completely gone 1.5 hours before the brunch even ended. This should have been a special, stress-free experience. Covered food stations or moving the spread indoors would go a long way. I really wanted to love this place. Hopefully they take the feedback seriously for future events.

Fun space. The greenhouse glass building & all the outdoor seating with heaters made for a nice area to dine. The garden around the perimeter was cool to see & they use all those herbs & plants in their dishes. The server was nice and attentive. Explained the menu & how the service would be for the evening. Order everything at one time then it comes out as courses. We ordered & shared an item from each section. Starter, pasta, side & main. Food was very well done & presented beautifully. The drinks were large. The okd fashioned was filled to the brim & the cilantro drink was in a large glass as well.

My boyfriend stumbled upon this place due to my strict diet. This place met and surpassed our expectations so much so that we've been back 4 times in the past 3 weeks. We love it here and will definitely be returning. The Chef turns normal meals into tasty masterpieces and we keep coming back for more. The ambience is also amazing as we chose to sit in the garden for a peaceful meal.

I came here for my birthday dinner. We had such a wonderful experience from the quality of food, service and ambiance. Our server Jane was fantastic, very personable and made great recommendations. We tried a lot of the menu. Four starters, four mains and two deserts plus cocktails. Normally that much food there is typically at least one dish that was meh. Every dish was on point, nothing was a let down. Great flavors, cook and temperature was perfect. It was a phenomenal birthday dinner celebration. I would highly recommend!

A very cute spot for delicious food in Anaheim. Parking can be difficult. We ended up having to park along the street. The restaurant is open air and the majority of the tables are outside with some coverage. The service is great. Everyone was extremely helpful and they made sure everything was made in a way that we were happy with. All of the food that we tried was cooked perfectly. It's not only nice aesthetically, but it also tastes as good as it looks. The portions are fairly large and are good for sharing. They also let us know that a lot of the components of the food are grown in their own garden at their location. The price is a little bit on the higher end but it's definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

The atmosphere is cute, bright, and airy. There's a nice breeze on a March evening and the noise starts off light. We opted for the tasting menu on our reservation (prepaid on OpenTable). Once we arrived, they provided us with drink menus and our tasting menu. The atmosphere is casual but trendy. It's clear there's no sommelier. The answers about both the wine pairings and the zero proof pairings were vague, and the wine fan of our group looked at the small wine list and was wholly unimpressed. Service is friendly but could be tighter. Water went empty. We used the same utensils from start until the last savory dish. No tablecloths or coasters meant our drinks sweat onto the tabletop. They did graciously show you the way to the restrooms and were more than happy to take our group photo. What is impressive are the flavors. Some felt it was slightly under seasoned, but the nuances of flavors and how your paste shifted through each bite was impressive to me. Their food was served hot, but the plates weren't so hot you could burn yourself. Each dish was carefully introduced even with a tasting menu at our table. Bottom line? Come for the flavors, the experience, and don't expect more than their very marketed farm to table, casual elegance. Skip the wine and opt for a cocktail (or mocktail).

Food :4. Ambiance : 4 Service : 4.5 Food presented nicely. Not quite Michelin 1, but close. Food was good . We had 4 tasting menus with wine pairing. The "snacks" were all good. Beef tartare, squash blossom stuffed with ricotta and honey and crispy pork belly. Then was followed by crudo of cod. And then gnocchi. Then duck breast and steak. Dessert was poached pear. $156 per tasting. Wines $65 each. Wines were mostly whites. And 2 reds. Dessert was the weakest by far. The proteins were good. Gnocchi was a bit heavy and salty sauce. The duck was perfect. Overall, service staff was a bit young and did not know much about the wines. That's fine since the pairing was quite affordable. Tighten up your service, get more interesting wines and cut your portions. And you will do great! Bon appetit

Food was great and beautifully presented. Ambiance is very nice and relaxing. No complaints about the service.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Me and group of friends stopped by to get some drinks and snacks. The decoration was nice. Very cozy design for date night or quiet hang out. We just got a few drinks and some appetizers since we had big meal prior. Will repeat.

Why was it like im in a cute little park? Poppy and seed is place in the Anaheim packing district plaza, placed on the other side of the block with the park in between. I came here for a birthday and our server Breanna was amazing! We had photo ops and many recommended plates, which we all ended up ordering. And boy was Breanna right about the food, I ordered the chicken and waffles and the breading was amazing on the chicken. The waffles are sooo good crispy but very soft. Overall the service was amazing and the food was great, its an overall aesthetic restaurant you should definitely try.

Personalized menu for our group!

Perfect venue for a holiday party! Our party of 9 had a private patio with plenty of heaters to keep the temperature perfect on a chilly evening. Restaurant looks like a glass greenhouse next to the Packing District. If you don't want to deal with parking there is valet parking behind the restaurant and a free parking garage on Broadway. Our group had the 9 course chef tasting menu plus our generous host ordered a few extras for the table. The menu waiting for us on the table was personalized which was a nice touch! Our waitress was fantastic and did a great job with our group. We kept the food on one bill but she took care of separate bar tabs for our cocktails. Everything we had was excellent. Courses were spaced out with perfect pacing allowing us to eat without being rushed and never waiting long for the next course. I won't write reviews for everything we ate but there wasn't a single bad course. The crowd favorites were the pork belly and the wagyu steak. Cocktails were pricey but were very creative made by very skilled mixologists! Everything about our night was 5 stars all the way. Thank you Bob and Ruth for an Epic Christmas dinner with friends!

Nice setting and environment. Small I door glass house dining room and bar with an extended patio, Thank God for heaters, bring a jacket if you're dining here in the winter, just in case the heaters aren't enough. Efficient service by friendly staff. Was taken a back when they cleared the appetizer plates and not offered to clear the silverware as well rather placing them in the table, at these prices? It felt cheap. I've been wanting to come and try this location for a while, unfortunately it tends to be usually a Monday after work and they aren't open. Sad to say food was a little disappointing. The menu reads amazing, hanger steak (my favorite), duck breast (another favorite), diver scallop, lobster risotto, so many options. Selected the hanger steak for myself and had a chance to taste everyone's dishes. Sad to say of all the main courses the only one I liked (not loved) was the risotto. The steak was in the rough side and sliced too thick with an odd platting, fingerling potatoes and greens all over the place. The duck breast was lean and also tasted like ham and missing all the richness that I love from duck. The bread pudding was good and so we're the non alcoholic beverages. I'm sad a place I've been so looking forward fell short.

BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN + WAFFLE Honey butter, maple syrup FRENCH FRIES
Keabreone B.

Such a cute little spot in an equally cute area. Parking is a bit limited, so if you're coming for brunch I'd recommend arriving earlier. They do offer valet--$9 cash or $10 card--which is honestly worth it. The space itself has the sweetest greenhouse vibe and feels cozy and welcoming. The staff was nice and pleasant (not overly chatty), which I appreciated. Drinks were okay, but you can honestly skip them and focus on the food. BROWN BUTTER WAFFLE This waffle is elite. Crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, with a deep, nutty brown-butter flavor that comes through in every bite. The honey butter melts right into the waffle, and the maple syrup isn't overly sweet--it just ties everything together perfectly. I've been thinking about this waffle since Saturday and would come back for this alone. BUTTERMILK BISCUIT Warm, tender, and slightly flaky with a rich buttery flavor. The house seasonal jam adds a bright, fruity contrast, while the honey butter makes it feel indulgent without being heavy. The sausage gravy was okay, smooth and mild, but the biscuit truly stands on its own and doesn't need it. FRIED CHICKEN The two wings I got were shockingly juicy, crispy, well-seasoned skin on the outside and incredibly moist on the inside. Not dry in the slightest. The chicken was so tender it practically fell apart, and yes, it was messy in the best way. Easily some of the juiciest fried chicken I've had. FRENCH FRIES Perfectly crisp on the outside with a soft, fluffy center. Lightly seasoned, golden, and completely addictive. I kept asking myself what cut or brand they use because these fries were that good. Overall, this is a fantastic brunch spot with standout food, a great atmosphere, and a cozy neighborhood feel. I'll absolutely be back! Especially for that waffle.

Decent chop.

Have a 230 reservation on a Sunday but they close at 3. Does the kitchen stay open or will we be rushed to order and Leave?

Is there any vegan options?

None

Are youDog friendly?

They let me bring my small dog on the patio before, but they didn't seem to have a clear policy, so they just said, "she's a service dog, right?" There's actually a California law passed in 2012 that allows dogs on outdoor patios at restaurants, but… Read more

Is there a tasting menu or prix fixe menu?

Prix fixe but they push you to turn it into a course so they space out the dishes as they come if that makes sense.

What is the parking situation?

They have valet parking and there's also street parking.

Is there any vegan / non daily dinner dish?

Even if there is not on the regular menu they are incredibly accommodating. If you're concerned I'd call in advance and talk to them about your needs.

Baby and kid friendly?

Yup!!

Are pets allowed in the patio area?

Service animals only currently.

Not sure if reservations are required, but this speakeasy is pretty tiny so I can't imagine it can accommodate walk ins. We had a reservation for 8pm on a Friday night. The door is very well hidden, I thought it'd be in a basement around the corner or something. The space is really small, so big groups are not advised. I had the niña fresa, a strawberries and creme type drink. Delicious! If you like sweet drinks, otherwise do not get it. I had the Saturn afterwards. Still a little sweet, but mostly sour. The server came by to say that we only had 25 min left, so we hurriedly ordered a last drink. But when he delivered it, it magically became 5 min! I chugged my drink and was ushered out the door. Overall it was pretty nice but I didn't enjoy having to rush at the very end.

We started with The Gatsby Effect drink which came in beautiful glasses and a tower that drips butterfly pea tea gin into your glass, changing the color of your drink. It comes with an entire 1 oz container of caviar with crumb fresh, chicken nuggets with crown fresh smoked trout caviar and chives, spicy ahi tuna wonton chip, mini lobster rolls, kettle chips, shrimp cocktail shooters, wagyu sliders, and chicken Caesar salad skewers. Down the Rabbit Hole at STORY -- Anaheim Hills…read more If you've ever wanted to fall straight into Wonderland, STORY in Anaheim Hills is your rabbit hole. From the moment I walked in, I was enchanted -- plush tufted velvet booths in dreamy blues, cascading candlestick chandeliers, walls lined with vintage books, and the most whimsical tablescapes I've ever seen. A teapot-and-teacup candelabra dripping with flowers and pocket watches greeted us like something straight off the Mad Hatter's table. Curiosity encouraged, reality optional, indeed. Half the fun was the crowd -- patrons in their finest hats and full Wonderland regalia, everyone leaning into the magic. The black-and-white spiral placemats and mismatched rose-painted china made every corner Instagram gold. We did the **Mad Hatter's Tea ($40 per guest)**, and it delivered both on theme and on flavor. The presentation arrives on a gleaming gold three-tiered stand, and there's a delightful Asian-fusion twist woven through the classic high-tea lineup: - **Goat & feta cheese pinwheels** -- pink whipped goat cheese with roasted beet purée, Genoa salami, and arugula in a spinach tortilla, finished with balsamic and honey drizzle. As pretty as they were tasty. - **Tea sandwiches** -- delicate chicken salad, egg salad, ham & dijon, and cucumber & cream cheese. - **Mozzarella, cantaloupe & prosciutto skewers** -- fresh and light. - **Freshly baked scones, danishes, and buttermilk biscuits** with whipped honey butter and strawberry jam -- warm, flaky, and exactly what high tea should be. - A sizzling **garlic shrimp skillet** with charred lemon and toasted bread that we added on -- savory and satisfying. And the theatrical touches! Each guest gets a **Tea Forté** selection (the Green Mango Peach and White Ginger Pear were lovely), a glass of sparkling wine, and a darling little **"Drink Me" potion bottle** to share -- a perfect Wonderland flourish. STORY is more than a meal; it's an experience. Whether you're celebrating, planning a girls' day, or just want to escape into something beautiful, put on your favorite hat and come play.
