Came back here again with a group, and we got pizza, a burger, and one of the Haitian dishes....everything was DELICIOUS!! No dessert menu and no kids menu but the food is kid friendly.

I purchased two "griotee" dinners. Unfortunately I paid for two plates of inedible pork fat. I'm all for pork skins, chicharron etc from different cultures but this was ridiculous. It was so fatty even my dog wouldn't eat it. The two stars earned were because the white rice and sos pwa were delicious.

The drinks are great here! The food is pretty good too. I had to give it to 8 out of 10. I really like this location due to parking very accessible close parking lot walking ,distance from the bar.

The food was amazing. The only thing was my Mac n Cheese wasn't as hot as the rest of my food so I would give it an 8/10. I had Black rice Mac and cheese with fried turkey! BUSSIN! It's a small place but nice and comfy. It smells good and it is clean. The service was good. It was only one person working, but again it's a small place didn't need that many servers and it's not packed. He was able to serve all of us and get me my food in a great time. He also came to let me know they did not have the Haitian chicken abd I substituted it for the fried turkey. So the communication is there. I'll be back. And you all reading should try it

Thank you Abner Bebeto and Maggie for hosting the 10 th annual Hyde Park Main Streets Carol Crawl. Everyone really loved the food and ambience of your restaurant and the servers and bartenders were very friendly. You definitely won over some new patrons last night :-). I have dined at your establishment 4 xs now and have been very happy with my selections. My faves so far - the chicken piccata and the seafood stew. And Wow that tomato soup is the best I think I've ever had !

This place just opened in Hyde Park and we've had their food 3x. It's Haitian Fusion with awesome, reasonably priced cocktails. As for the food, it is flavorful, hot and delicious. If you like Haitian rice, you will love the black rice here. The portions are substantial, and the meats and fish are tender and juicy. I highly recommend this place.

    1. Food wasn't ready when I arrived and I ordered online. 2. The egg roll was sooo greasy. It's obvious they deep fried them and put them in the container without draining them. 3. The salad I got was kale based and it looked like they took it right out of the package without washing it. The kale was also yellowing a bit so it was old. 4. People making the food with their coats on like they just walked in from off the street. I was so annoyed and disappointed. I had a long busy morning so I was very hungry by the time I got my food so i ate it anyway but It was not worth the money I paid. If they don't tighten things up, they will not last.

She helped make the night a really good time out. My gf and I split the Fra Diavalo and the Burger. The Fra Diavolo as excellent in terms of taste, al dente buccatini (serious chew) and the seafood. What we didn't understand was why we got so little pasta in the dish. To be honest, it seemed like we got half an order of the buccatini which was a shame since the shellfish was great, sauce was great and again, pasta cooked perfectly. We will make sure to ask for more when we return. The focaccia and butter to mop up the remaining sauce at the end was phenomenal. We will probably try to order meatballs, sauce and bread & butter next time. It should be on the menu. The burger was also excellent. The burger itself was extremely tasty, I hope they don't move to cheaper beef due to rising prices. Add a dollar if you need to. Overall, a great night. I will say I think the deserts are a little pricey. We really wanted the baked Alaska but $14 seemed a little high. At $12 we would have ordered it. A mental thing I guess since the overall meal we thought was worth every penny.

We were the youngest people in there, and we are 60…read more The menu is very nice, we had fish tacos/salad, and flatbread/salad, both were very good and large portions. The waiter had extreme perfume on, annoying, and two guacamoles on one fish, taco dish, the other got none. One of those had a hair in it. Still, definitely one of the best options in Chestnut Hill.

After wedding dress shopping at Anthropologie next door, we decided to stop in for a quick lunch…read more We weren't really certain what to expect but when we walked in, one person was walking out with a giant box of food (that looked like a florist's box for a few dozen roses) and another was at the reception desk saying they were picking one up. With folks ordering full party meals, we figured it was worth a try. The restaurant is quite pretty, with wood all around and lots of space between tables. We were seated in what seemed to be a back room with several booths, an internal delivery window, and wine racks. The lunch menu indicated that nothing on the menu is more than 595 calories so we expected modest sized meals. We all started with a wine flight (one opting for the reds and two for the mixed flights). The selections were all distinct and very drinkable. Our server was excellent, making suggestions and reading the table well - refilling water glasses promptly without us needing to ask, and giving us time to settle in before asking if we'd were ready to order. I picked the rainbow trout with broccolini and baby potatoes. The potatoes were bland, so really needed the delicious mustard sauce served on the side. My daughters shared a field green salad and roasted tomato flatbread, with roasted Brussels sprouts for the table. The fish was thinly sliced and the flat bread was of modest size - but everything was very good. We had room leftover so decided to all have a coffee and split two of the (quite) petite desserts which we selected from a table side display. (The desserts are 2-bite sized so I assume a "tasting menu approach is expected.) There was quick agreement about the peanut butter chocolate, but some debate whether to get the oatmeal cookie pie and the s'mores. Our coffee came in large mugs, and it was delicious (with refills). We finally placed our dessert order, and were really delighted that our waiter actually brought over the third - on him. All in all, this was an unexpectedly nice experience!

It is not easy to gain access to this place…read more I arrived here at noon on a sunday, eager to start a UYE day drinking campaign. The door was locked, and the windows were opaque. I wasn't sure if the bar was abandoned, closed, or if they were just unwilling to accept my business. Moments later, what could only be a "regular" sullenly unlocked and opened the door for me. I asked "are you open?" and got an affirmative grunt in response. Master McGrath's is actually quite spacious and clean; the bar has about 15 seats, and is well-lined with small flat-screen TVs, the better to see the Sox beat the snot out of the O's. They have an internet jukebox, and a popcorn machine for free snacking. I knew right away that I was in a bar frequented almost exclusively by regulars; the surprisingly cute female bartender was eager to prepare drinks for the customers walking *in from the back door* before they sat down. I received a fairly standard silent-treatment half hour, followed by a cautious inclusion in some casual conversation. Being a gregarious individual, I soon was laughing and chatting with the regulars, and even had one of them buy me a drink, a favor I returned later. I was not able to get a Jameson - the man who bought me the drink explained that "if there's a bottle of Jameson, I'll drink it all." Of course, I didn't know if he was a manager, owner, or regular customer, but he is apparently important enough to the management that in an Irish pub, they don't stock Jameson. The buffalo fingers are top feckin' shelf. Definitely worth ordering. Hyde Park is a neighborhood that could use some more folks making the trip down to see. Lisa, the bartender, is cute and friendly, and will chat you up about shark week. All in all, not a bad way to spend three hours on a Sunday afternoon.
